Despite mediocre to bad defense most of the year Binnington has looked strong in spite of the defense around him. Now that the Blues are doing better defensively your seeing Binnington really shine and winning games which is really good to see considering how well he’s playing.

This is the problem with the oilers, you never know which team will show up: the one that won 16 straight or the one that lost 9 straight. They have no hope of winning a Stanley Cup with that kind of inconsistency.

OILERS playing the up and down games again, the way they play now, it won't go to the second round of the playoff, especially the first round they face to Vegas Golden knight.
Last night Skinnier was not in the shape, after giving up 4 goals, the coach should pull him out let Pickard to finsh the game, it may change the game playing you will never know. At this moment we are in the playiff position, the OILERS should let Pickard plays more games because we are in the playoff now, we need two perfect goalies.

@@griggbaylee5808When the Blues offense is rolling most of their goals are right around the crease and when they’re really on they will get outshot by a lot while still blowing out other teams by wearing them down with extended offensive zone possession time followed by one shot against defenders who are tired and out of position resulting in a layup of a goal. The Blues method is quality over quantity by taking the best shot, not the most shots. The reality is that Skinner nor any goalie is stopping every wide open net shot and that’s the idea behind waiting for the best shot.

So, the Oilers changed coach some 37 games ago, and what has really changed? Nothing. They still lack grit, they can't defend, and if they don't score at least 5, they're not going to win. Teams are quickly learning that the key to beating the Oilers is to keep them hemmed in in their own zone, chasing the puck. Let McDavid do what he wants and just focus on the rest of the team. Take away passing lanes and the Oilers turn over the puck. Put pressure on the d-men, another turn over. Rinse and repeat, and you've beat the Oilers. You think tonight was bad, wait till they play Dallas on Saturday. It will be a bloodbath. And there's no help coming, because the GM is there in name only. He won't be able to do anything without running it by Jackson.
