The elimination of carbs, grains, processed foods and sugar have made an astonishing difference and have normalized my glucose levels, blood pressure and cholesterol in significant ways. @ Sandra As another R.N., retired/Disabled 19years due to FM & Chronic Pain, I need to respond to your comment. If WE, with these condtitions are not kind to one another and don't support each other when SO many people don't believe us or in us, then where does this leave all of the newly diagnosed with Chronic Pain & FM and all the Associated Conditions? Both men and women STILL have to struggle to have their "genuine" Chronic Pain and symptoms of Fibromyalgia get recognized by their own Healthcare Providers. And even then to be properly treated by being referred to a Pain Clinics. Some are given the diagnosis & told that they have to "live with it," because the HCP either doesn't know enough about the condition or doesn't believe in the "treatment" (aka opioids). And, often, patients, exhausted not just from the symptoms but from the struggles of trying to get answers, just accepts what's said. Others don't & keep searching. These we find right here. Or places very similar. Often exhausted & weary & not always firing on all cylinders. (Quite common with FM & CP. Nothing unkind being said here for I know Fibro Fog intimately!)
So why should they have to struggle to be accepted by one of their own? This is the one place, the ONE circle where WE cannot be judgemental, cannot be questioning, cannot ridicule. We can't KNOW another's pain. We can't LIVE another's limitations. We can only accept them, hurting, often alone in their struggle, almost always looked at by at least some family members as "faking" or "attention getting". All these people newly diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain or having just found this Support Group or CZcams video after years of searching, struggling, that DON'T
know about pain treatment need from us, is some support, some answers, some referrals, and ABOVE ALL,
      open acceptance.

I also had muscle weakness and pain. It was so bad I had trouble getting up from a sitting position and great difficulty getting up from the floor . I also had a severe anxiety disorder. My NP had my vitamin D tested. I had a severe vitamin D deficiency. My NP had a bone scan done and my bone density was fine... Thank goodness. I was put on high dose vitamin D3 (50,000 IU once a week). My levels slowly went up. My pain decreased... It is now gone... My anxiety has also decreased. My naturopath wants my blood levels up to 125. It is now over 100 so I'm getting there. My pain was definitely caused by my severe vitamin D deficiency. I tested negative for autoimmune disorders.

      @BlueSkies3 Před 2 lety +7

@@nlove2k Usually that once a week prescription is D2, which is inferior to D3, ... D3 is superior.
Your body can absorb the D3 faster. Because your body, while already being weak from being low in D3, is having to work harder to turn the D2 into D3.
Also, a daily dose of vitamin D3 is better than one huge dose once a week.
I was in horrible pain, hair falling out, bones easily breaking, barely able to walk, walking up just 3 steps felt like bones in legs were going to decentergrate, screamed when I washed and brushed my hair because it hurt so much to raise my arms. Once I had a shower I was exhausted and couldn't do anything else.
Found out I was very D3 deficient ... I think my level was 6 or 8.
I started taking vitamin D3, not D2 but D3 20,000 IU daily, then after 2 weeks, went down to 10,000 IU D3 daily.
Take D3 with food that has fat in it because D3 is fat soluble.
Take D3 in the beginning of your day verses the end of your day. And of course, if you can get sunshine, that's the best D3.
But in the northern hemisphere it's harder this time of the year.
I don't scream now when washing and brushing hair. Walking up stairs no longer feels like bones are going to decentergrate.

At least that is what I've been told by black women I have known. I remember when I was a kid - going back 50 years or so, and we were swimming in our public pool. One of the boys was a very dark skinned black boy, very athletic, and an enthusiastic swimmer. That poor kid got sunburned so bad he had horrible scarring on his shoulders. I cried for him, it looked so painful, and he couldnt swim for quite a while. When he did come back he had painful looking pinkish areas across his shoulders and the skin was tight and puckered. It made quite an impact on me to remember him all these years later.

I live in Brisbane. We get plenty of sun here. My doc told me my vitamin D level was normal. I ended up in the hospital two weeks later for a different reason. They took blood tests just 2 wks after my local doc did and they told me I was extremely low in vitamin D and B12. I thought that was strange since my doc said it was normal. I have always had severe pain throughout my whole body with osteoarthritis fibromyalgia. In the hospital for 11 days, they gave me daily shots of vitamin D and B12 and suggested to continue with 2,000 mg a day. I felt it really helped my pain. After about 4 wks my local doc told me my level was normal and told me to stop taking it. My pain started coming back with a vengeance. I will now continue to take vitamin D again. My point is don't always listen to the doc. He told me my level was normal when gm fact I was extremely low. Thank you for this video.

A knowledgeable person suggested I try to solve my extremely painful and completely debilitating Plantar Fasciitis pain by using Vit D3 + Vit K2. I tested various dose rates. Then one day I realised I had reduced foot pain. After a week more taking that combination of vitamins daily (6000IU Vit D3 + 90mcg Vit K2) my foot pain was gone. I now have been taking it for over 2yrs for the foot pain and for removing calcium from my blood. When I get that right it lowers my blood pressure which can get high. If I take more Vit D3 than 6000IU I get headaches but no other symptoms. If I get a headache I just don't take my Vits for a day or two.
I still am not sure what causes my Plantar Fasciitis but if I consume too many carbs on some days I will have foot pain in the evening and the next day until my system deals with the overload of carbs. I'm not sure yet if that is the only reason for the pain. I still have to do many tests on myself regarding carb intake. But it's a start and helps me reduce carbs to a minimum.

The medical industrial complex's failure to properly research and diagnose and treat diet and microbiome and sleep and vital nutritional deficiency issues (including those related to Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2 and Magnesium deficiencies as well as iatrogenic prescription medication usage) is a major reason why psychiatric iatrogenesis is a primary contributor to the third leading cause of death in the U.S. (which is iatrogenesis in general). If the U.S. spent just a fraction of the over $40 billion each year it spends just on iatrogenic psychiatric drugs alone, for properly researching the issues discussed in this and related CZcams presentations we would probably, Lord willing, achieve an absolute revolution in medical efficacy improvement and iatrogenesis reduction.

It felt walking in broken glasses, pain that’s so severe that it felt like my whole leg was inflammed even though it doesn’t look like they were swelling. I’m literally crying in pain almost every morning. Ordered vitamin D3 with K2 thinking my pain was some kind of a bone spur or something. I knew vitamin D3 would help with moving calcium to my bones to make them stronger. Long story short, it was sort of a miracle, as within ONE WEEK almost all the pain is gone, and before the 2nd week it was like it never happened and i am 100% sure it was the vitamin as i never change anything in my diet.

The problem with Vit.D, at least here in Germany, is that doctors don't check it by default (you have to ask specifically and pay yourself) so most people don't know their levels. Even if you have been diagnosed with low Vit.D there are jo folllow-up checks. They tell you to take supplements (usually 1000 per day or 10000 every two weeks) and that's it. You get no feedback on whether you are taking enough or taking too little...it is extremely lackluster and can actually be dangerous...but nobody seems to care since there probably isn't enough money to be made off of Vit.D supplements.
And then of course you have various non-medical sources that tell you to take enormous amounts of Vit.D and to ignore the risks...

I just saw a paper that indicated that if you took 50,000 units per week your vitamin D levels will be normal yet if you took less than that at 3000 units per day your vitamin D levels would drop below what was the target value of 30 ng/mL. I've been taking 50,000 units per week and my levels are 51 ng/mL so I've continued taking 50,000 units per week and have not resulted in hypervitaminosis for vitamin D3. I am heavier than most people so I would stress the fact that vitamin D levels depend a great deal on body weight and also inflammation as inflammation tends to use up vitamin D3. It's best for people to go to the physician and get their vitamin D levels checked as it appears to me that the dosing of vitamin D3 has to be tailored for the individuals particular medical conditions. I would suspect that an individuals intake of alcohol would also be another variable that could shift vitamin D levels down.

Sunshine vitamin or steroid hormone was the most powerful medicine on earth given by our CREATOR. Sun Exposure
The best way to get vitamin D3 is through sun exposure. Go outside and get some sun, especially in the mid-day when it’s the strongest.
However, many of us use sun block, which is good for our skin but not so helpful when it comes to the production of vitamin D3. By blocking out the UVA and UVB rays, sun block can interfere the skin’s ability to synthesize vitamin D3. GOD BLESS.

Lactose can also be found in pharmaceuticals. Most all drugs have triggered mast cell activation. Most foods trigger histamine intolerance. European health concerns are different than non European.

@ Nellie & Brian Omega 3 works well for pain relief if you want to supplement what you get in your diet. I regularly take Nature Made brand 1200 mg twice a day but you can find what works best. There are only a few high quality brands that will provide the level of Omega 3 needed.

My physician found that my blood level of vit D was low and so recommended I take a vit D supplement, D2 because I am vegan and D3 is made from lanolin usually, D2 from carbohydrate fermentation. He prescribed a 20,000 IU capsule. I took half the cap. Within an hour I got a very bad headache and it lingered for a couple of days. I normally do not get headaches. I have osteoporosis and I think taking vit D is probably a good idea. Even though I get considerable sun exposure my level was low. My skin color is beige, I have a little bit of melanin. A week later I tried taking 1200 IU. I still got a headache, but not nearly as bad, and lasting only about 8-12 hours. What I do is take 1200 IU 2 or 3 times a week and I get a headache every time. My blood level is still low. I had a scoliotic spine since my teen years. even though I go plenty of sunshine. In summer I spent hours on white sand beach turning brown and not burning, several times every year, latitude level of New York City. In winter I got some sunshine too. Arms would become brown. At around age 55 I started getting a kyphotic spine and bone scan showed mild to moderate osteoporosis.

It’s good to know I only need about 15 minutes a few times a week and your video also explains some of the side effects I’m getting when I try to overcompensate and get too much sun. It actually is helping with some of my chronic nerve pain issues and now I know how much to get! Agree with other comments about it being just one area to look at as you’ve mentioned though, chronic pain is a complex issue, but getting the basics right does help. 😁

I have been dealing with fatigue and pain that seemed to come out of nowhere over six months ago. Pain in my ribs, my neck, my back and severe TMJ. Nothing has helped. I have gone to many practitioners and have had minimal effectiveness. I asked my doc to test my vitamin and everything else (blood, liver, kidneys, all of it) just the other day. Found out I have low Vit D and need to bring my B12 levels up too. I had attempted to get my last doc to test me but she said she’d do it if I kept feeling poorly and the pain didn’t go away. For such simple tests they are I really was disappointed she didn’t test me when I first asked. Now I’m going to take some vitamin D supplements and hope to feel like my old self.
