    It’s crazy how easily people forget how good the nuggets are. They’re a HISTORIC team at the moment, 10-15 years from now we’ll be looking back only then truly appreciate what we had. The NBA needs Jokic & Nuggets to balance modern day basketball , no superstar divas, no egos, everyone knows their role. Even the older nuggets player essentially teaching the younger guys to eventually take their jobs. Front office still doin an amazing job to what seems like a perfect blueprint for a dynasty!

      I’m not a man of faith. I have trust issues. But there’s an element of faith in the Joker’s game, that I have to admire. It doesn’t always work out. Sometimes he’ll do a no look pass to nobody. But that’s why it’s faith. If it worked every time it wouldn’t be faith. It would just be the scientifically best choice. Joker has faith in Gordon and vice versa. That’s their true strength.
      I could never do that, because the first time I did a no look past to the stands I’d immediately say to myself well, I’m never gonna do that again. #NoFaith

    The only thing I'd add is a shout out to the remaining Nuggets starter, KCP. He's very important to the team on both sides of the floor. He's a veteran leader, has defensive lockdown, and reliable in hitting crucial 3s to mount comebacks. A lot of Nuggets comebacks heavily involve KCP. You can see coach Malone have him guard the opponent's scorer, and he somehow always gets that crucial steal/three.

    • @alandouglas2700

    • @friedegs
      @friedegs Před 2 měsíci +1

      His contributions to big comebacks is a great point! What makes him so valuable is that in crucial final seconds of a game, you want him on the floor forcing the best scorer to the toughest shot possible. It doesn't show up on a stat sheet but its the intangible impact that makes a difference between losing and winning!!

    I think Reggie Jackson will be the biggest X-factor moving forward. Losing Bruce Brown to Free Agency hurt, and getting solid play from his replacement down the stretch will be crucial. As far as the other two main reserves, CB is just as good as last season and a budding elite defender and hustle guy. And P-Wat is already an elite defender who will only get better, and an upgrade for Jeff Green, in my opinion.

    Outside the starting 5, there are a ton of x-factors. Reggie Jackson has fit in surprisingly well and gives the needed veteran presence. Braun got some great minutes in the playoffs last year. Payton Watson is imo the biggest x factor with outstanding defense. I have a feeling we will see a lot of PWat in these playoffs coming off the bench.
    Kcp wasn't mentioned in the video but he is hugely important. I honestly still feel we haven't seen mpj play up to his potential.
    It's just such a well rounded team, with solid stars in the making that the media seems to be oblivious too.

    X factor? A guy by the name of Manning may not be the only Peyton in town, as Peyton Watson, who averaged 3.3 points and 2.9 rebounds in 12.6 minutes per game in his one season at UCLA, was perhaps a head-scratcher as a first-round pick in 2022. Once again, give the front office credit for their brilliance, as this guy is already starting to give the league another high-altitude headache and is a part of what could be a fantastic future for the Nuggets.

    The Nuggets starting five is the best in the league. Watch them in clutch minutes and they frequently accelerate past teams. They have the ability to turn it on when it matters, especially Jamal Murray. What I think will be the differentiator with this team in the playoffs is their bench. Reggie Jackson may be the best ball handler I have ever seen, but he has suffered from streaky offense this year. Peyton Watson is a legit, scary defender with his length and tenacity. Christian Braun was expected to make a big jump this sophomore year, but he has disappeared for most of the first half of this season. He appeared to lack confidence, unwilling to take open looks and often looking like any time he had the ball he just wanted to find someone else to take it. Since the All Star break though, CB may have found a new gear and is much more active. If the young guys plus RJ can peak during the playoffs, I can't see anyone stopping this team.

The stadium was so empty (except for when Jordan & the Bulls came into town) ...cuz we were easily the worst team in the league for years! I mean, just down right dreadful 😂 ...we were so bad, that it was the easiest thing in the world to just walk right up to the tunnels where the players entered the court from & get their autographs like it was nothing.
