Jon Richardson is that quiet childhood friend you miss now
In Germany, instead of "happily ever after", they end their fairy tales with "wenn sie nicht gestorben sind dann leben sie noch heute" , which means "if they haven't died, then they are living until today".
I need a book with fairy tales told from a realistic adult perspectve
Jon Richardson marathon tonight. ( I think of it as a Jon-athon)
That bit about Cinderella was so on point. xD
So glad to see a Jon Richardson channel. IDK if you run this yourself, but I'm really happy to see you.
does i think.Theres a tick.
He’ll have a team that do it for him, it won’t actually be him. The tick just means this is his official account
I think you'll find he has multiple ticks 😄
His version of Cinderella is much better.
And the first kiss in sleeping beauty surely would have been brought up in conversation......in court.
If this channel is run by Jon Richardson, he is 100% know he will be reading the comments. Hi Jon.
Dang, I've watched all the videos already! Only just discovered the channel today, now I need more, lol
That's a more realistic fairy tale lol
I love your shows, you’re a different kind of funny 😂 like we all knew the things you say to us but we needed someone to say it out loud 😅 👏
that was so good man
Loving these clips!
I hope I live happily ever after.
I hope so too. Truly.
My mum used to buy alternative stories.. the Prince and the Pea, Princess Smartypants... no wonder I’m such a mardyarse
I totally adore Jon..So funny & rather hot. 😎💕
IS there any way to buy and watch Jon Richardson's specials digitally?
Jon needs to watch Into The Woods. The stage version not the film. It has the what happened next side of fairytales.
Someone got bored during lock down and started a youtube channel.
And what did you do??
Lmao that Prince Harry reference was spot on.
So funny 🤣
class
Good thing it stopped where it did… I think. Why? Bc the Cinderella bit was absolutely brilliant while the Sleeping Beauty was racing downhill fast.
R*pe jokes are fun though.
@@Liwet. depends on the joke.
I wonder how many people who normally confess their (romantic) love for Jon in the comment section of clips of him are going to accidently do it on one of the videos from this channel and then shit themselves because even if they delete it, if Jon is logged into this channel on his phone he'll get a notification.
1st!!!
I've seen people do this and been like
So??
But turns out it's quite a sense if achievement!!! 😁
Good for you man!!
Yeah! You got it, bro. You a champ ^^ have a good day/night/year
At first I thought they got the name wrong... he kinda looks like Andrew Shultz the comedian. Wow that’s crazy
The major difference between them is, Richardson is funny and Schulz isn't.
What´s with the squirl on the bicyclette? And why is there a small, fluffy-tailed, furry thing next to it on a tiny bicyclette?
Poggy
Fairy tales would be better if they were british lol. But which version lol that would be fun. A cockney sleepin beauty, a brummie goldilocks or a scouser red riding hood haha
Mmm ñ n
Nobody tell him about the originals
The original story is even more misogynistic. Glass slipper was a mistranslation of fur slipper. I’ll let you guess what that is a euphemism for.
Pffft XD
Ugg boots? Gross.
Mistranslation from what language, pray tell?
@@ulalaFrugilega Greek.
He should have also brought up Snow White and the fact that she's only fucking 14 in the story :/
Sleeping Beauty... they met fell in love were enchanted and only his kiss could break the enchantment. This was not a sexual assault. Revisionism has run amok.
For one thing, they're fairy tales. They always have several versions, some of which can be very different from each other. That's not "revisionism", it's just kind of how folk tales and fairy tales have come to be. For another, I'd be curious to know what version you're referring to, seeing as in most versions I've found the princess never met the prince before, and quite often the prince only stumbles upon her a hundred years after she falls asleep.
The original Sleeping Beauty, he raped her. Then he left her. Her baby sucked on her finger, which took out the poison. Killing the baby.
The revisionism is that it is a kiss and not a sexual assault committed upon a non-consenting, unconscious woman. In the original tale, the Prince is wandering by many years after she falls into a sleep.
So wrong... you know that after he told her to toss off back to the gutter, there was a palimony lawsuit filed... c'mon... ;-)
