Just ordered an older edition from Alibris for an unbelievable $2.95. I'm a retired Boomer with an MA, but a lifelong learner.
6th New edition is coming in two weeks. So if you want to buy a copy, it is probably worth waiting
Cool thanks where did you hear the 6th edition is coming as cannot see a pre order on Amazon?
Found pre order for 6th edition comes out 16th July so ordered that. Cheers for heads up
Nice, thanks for that tip!

Damn nice
I will download YouSum Live
@@MrDiceZack You don't need to download. Just google "YouSum Live".
Your channel has been so helpful, I purchased the book BEFORE watching this video! Cheers!
I definitely purchased this book. I need the push. Maybe if I were allowed to re-enlist into the military and borrow a drill sergeant for a few weeks while off duty? (Basic training was a blast, though, as sadistic as that sounds. You learn a TON)
You should definitely check out Cognitive Load Theory (CLT), many of the study techniques you've recommended in this channel are summed up in the theory with scientific researches.
In name of Justin Sung, i absolve you
That guy Justin changed my life and i ain't buy nada from him.
I love this book, thank you so much for this recommendation!
Yay.. another book... ordered 😊
Who wants Review of book"Get better at anything" from him?
this is a really good book. used it when i was in grade 12. life changing.
Hello. Really appreciate your recommendations. I have read crush course on python and I want to learn algorithms and data structure. What book do you recommend?? Thank you!
Hi teacher!
I usually remember when we changed some emails!
Will definitely get this book.
Effective study skills are important. Ultra slow learner/reader here. Took me 2 years to get done with Robert Greene’s Laws of Human Nature hard copy
i guess you should pick your reads better, then.
@@GPxNABrothers I don’t like reading because I’m slow at it. Videos are quicker, I like learning. I force myself to read self help books because evolving is a survival skill
@@ola...o1009 i mean, i understand that, but if you asked me for advice - which i know you didnt - i guess you would have a better time reading more dense books. If you read slowly - as i do - i think good philosophy books are the best shot (you have no time to waste). If you compare, for instance, the intelectual growth that reading (lets say) Peter Hacker on human nature, and Robert Greene, while the latter «sounds» more practical, the former give you so much more clarity. Wittgenstein were right in equating philosophy to _therapy_ it is, indeed, therapeutic
@@ola...o1009 (harder books will accelerate your reading, also, at least your reading of easier books)
I am student and I love you very very much pleas make me best study techniques and strategy for long term retention and deeper understanding please
I'm doing a MSc at University of York and they also recommended that book.
What is the best book for studying, and can you review The Only Study Guide You'll ever need: jade bowler
Looks most interesting of these meta learning books what you have presented so far. Personally I find it difficult to gain anything of these kind of books, however. I spend that time rather studying Python on my own way. :)
Where I can get this printed book?
Thank you!
Thank you!!!
I have this exact book thats been rotting away in my room for 5 years. Thanks to this video it has peaked my interest to read it!
i love you voice clarity and explanations
He should do audio books, or even of the books that he suggests. I find the voice calming.
I want to see your thoughts on Little Book of Talent by Daniel Coyle.
Is there anything in it about mastering ATTENTION . That is foundational
Any thoughts on Limitless by Jim Kwik?
It's much older than those channels.
Music is 🔥
The video description says it is The Student Skills Handbook, while the title is The Study Skills Handbook.
Does it tell you how to stop scrolling through social media?
Lol😂 yeah. The secret to uninstall TikTok

If I remember correctly it is called « On writing well » the author was university teacher as well as journalist. But don’t ask his name…

Amazon has the paperback listed at $22.20 USD at the time of this comment.
Kinda weird I have to read a book to learn how to focus to read a book
It’s about META reading a book. Like do you KNOW you’re reading that book? Are you reading that book in another part of the multiverse? Imagine you imagining you’re reading the book while imagining you’re reading a book while imagining.
I shall write a $300.00 textbook on being AWARE of breathing and having bowel movements. 🤯
It kind of makes one examine the basics. For example I noticed that my buddy in the dorm went to bed at 10:00 AM after reading the book for an hour and yet did better at the test next morning compared to me who read for two hours.
There are like speed reading techniques, highlighting techniques, note taking techniques, etc. which are the benefits one could obtain by learning how to read a book.
Brilliant observation 👏
That's amazing
Nothing is ever ultimate - except maybe death, but nobody knows from the inside
waste of time, it's funny how people would rather read books on learning than actually learning. it is not as if these are in depth metatechniques either, just tips
Waste of time AND money
How do modern humans decide that they are going to make a channel and “create content”? What causes them to make this decision? I simply do not understand what drives so many to do this. Such a weird phenomenon. Pretty sick of how much YT has been inundated by these “channels”…all pretty much the same thing, with a different (trendy, catchy, memey) moniker. LOOK@MEdia is a narcissistic trend.
I have too much procrastination going on, to read this book...Just joking😁
Started of quite bad. To say three youtubers is some sort of authority.
Totally right, except if it was Justin Sung
