Well..... If the author herself thinks she is fit for portraying the character SHE wrote. We don't have any right to literally telling her that its a horrific idea. There must be a reason why she felt blake suits Lilly's personality. We should trust the authors choice. I mean we loved her book. And blake is a really good actress. We just need to watch the movie and find out (although the wardrobe choices for lilly is NOT what i pictured her to be in... I mean i did picture dresses and jackets and chunky boots but the color choices... Questionable
People hating on the cast need to realize just because they think an actor would fit the role it doesn't mean they're gonna be cast in it, they can cry "this person should be lilly this person should be this character" all they want, no one cares, that's not how production looks for talent, and at this point they won't change the cast obviously
I think that Blake Lively was chosen because is a household name and the author is just appeasing the studio because they obviously aren't going to select who she imagines would be a good casting. Once more, it comes down to money.
I've been a fan of Colleen waaaay before IEWU. I trust Colleen & I trust her judgment else I wouldn't have the opportunity to read such an amazing book. Remember, she almost change Ryle character but decided not to do so because this book ia about honesty and truth. I don't care what they say, Colleen, I'll support you all the way in!
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but that doesn't make them right. It's her book, she wrote it, if she feels she sees Blake Lively in her vision then that's what it will be. I'm excited to see the movie! I've watched the trailer more than once.
People said Margot Robbie was too old for Barbie and it turned out amazing! People need to chill and trust the directors vision. The trailer looks amazing and I didnât even like the book outside of the Atlas chapters
If the person who wrote the book sees Blake as Lily who are we to say no. We didnât write the book she did. This is her image. It is her story. Itâs just a movie.
I love Blake Lively. She has such great depth of character

I think she is perfect for the role of Lily!
Blake should play Allyssa
Exactly she would be amazing as allysa thats how i imagined allysa in the books
Thatâs who I thought she was playing at first and thought it was a good call. Then I found out sheâs Lily and said, Nooooooo.
Sheâs way too old for the role! I donât get it. Plus she doesnât look at all like the book character
Ageism much? She prob looks younger than you

There are plenty of examples when people were against someone being cast as this or that character and then having to eat their words.
Very true!
Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight for example
Preach đ
I want to meet the author nd tell her that i feel so bad for ryle he's the one that suffered so bad
I love blake
Who else was considered? Dakota Johnson, Elle Fanning, Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jenna Ortega, etc.?
I agree and ryle should be theo
The movie has already been shot.
People said Margot Robbie was too old for Barbie and it turned out amazing! People need to chill and trust the directors vision. The trailer looks amazing and I didnât even like the book outside of the Atlas chapters
i dont really think Blake is right for the role. But i mean if Colleen Hoover thinks it i cant really argue with it

Blake haters
Terrible casting all around. The only one that even remotely fits is Justin Baldoni as Ryle.
There are a lot of actress mstch the role for Lily. Blake is sooo overrated.
Donât like it. I think Racheal McAdams shouldâve played the part.
