I just wanted to put this here. Blake Lively is stunning but the outfits make her look frumpy and not like the character at all how they managed to make a gorgeous woman look bad is crazy. Also Blake is young yes only in her 30s BUT she has a mature face always had this. Theres Lily Collins who is basically the same age and she has a "cutesy look". While Lily Collins wouldn't really fit fully because of her features, they should have went with someone like that with the cutesy look instead of mature look or just get someone who looks slightly younger than their age instead of someone who looks their age so many options why Blake?

The movie business doesn't work like TikTok, and what you mean by not giving vibes, acting is called acting for a reason
More than costume it should be over the casting. They are not fit. Description of the characters don’t fit the actors. Frankly their past performances also prove that it’s a wrong casting choice.

Yikes guess I’ll be the ONE positive person here, I’m honestly just happy we’re getting a big budget film for the book. And that the actors casted could moderately fit the book’s descriptions of their characters. One of said actors is also an A lister, which gives me hope that she takes the role seriously and that I can at least count on good acting from the main character. I can MAYBE understand people’s frustrations if an actor of a different race/ethnicity etc was cast for a character they loved, like for example the whole Ariel debate…but this??? They’re literally general descriptions of the book characters. Just because it’s not what you envisioned doesn’t mean it’s bad or that the movie will suck either. I loved this book and it has a special place in my heart, so I refuse to let something so stupid affect my enjoyment and opinion of the movie when I watch it for the first time. Hoping other people realize this too and stop complaining.

Blake is only 36..and Lily is supposed to be around 26 and Blake is barely older than Hilary Duff, Lily Collins, Emma Watson, Taylor Swift...they don't look 45..what are you on?
