- 24' KTM 300 TBI XC-W Hardenduro Review / Worth Upgrade over TPI? Owner of both tells all!
This owner describes how to set up your new 24' KTM 300 TBI and if he likes it better than TPI, he might surprise you. Comparisons are made on suspension, fuel economy and engine characteristics.
For those of you who don't want to swap bikes out, I've just installed the injector relocation kit on my 2020 TPI with an ECU reflash, both from Two Stroke Performance. This effectively takes one of the injectors and relocates it to the throttle body. Couldn't recommend it more. Runs very happy.
Great tip! Very useful information and really appreciate you sharing! 👍
I moved one injector to the reed cage on my tpi with a Pinit and left one in the transfer port. Doing that fixed the lack of low end on my 250. I also had a JD controller to adjust the fuel. It needed more fuel in the lower rpms. (Got the controller before the injector relocation) I also add 1 ounce of oil per gallon to supplement the oil injection but a remap that adds oil would probably be enough.
I just finished putting the lucky cartridges and national shock on my 2022 KTM 500EXCF. Night and day from stock! Then I make the decision to maybe play around with a 2024 300 XC - w. Convinced myself I won't need to work on the suspension to the tune of $3,600 like I just finished with my 500. It's nice to see a review from someone who has also experienced the MX tech suspension and compare it to the new 2024 OEM. My home should is that I want to go to the national shock anyway, but if the WP is close, it won't be as easy to justify that $2,600.
Awesome video. I just purchased a new 24' 250 XC-W. Can't wait to ride it soon.
wonder the difference between the 250 and 300
Stickers absolutely make you go faster! Informative video from a seemingly informed rider.
Thanks. Shame the audio in the first part isn’t vey good.
Excellent review
Get a bike when I was a teenager Bought a brand new 1997KX125Been at my parents house for 20 years Over there put it together it crunk it 4 kicks Need to replace a couple of things like Dry rotted bumps That's the only blike I've ever read I can't imagine what it's gonna be like when I get 1 of these New 2 strokes.
I have a 2020 300 XCW, I have over 4000 miles on it never had any problems except for the crank seal on the transmission side leaked gear oil in the crank case.
I have a 2021 Beta 300RR carb bike. I also grew up with two stroke bikes in the 70's and 80's that were either off or oh wow. I can in my late 50's ride the same trials I rode in my teens with my new bike. The power valve and pipe designs have changed two strokes. I ride mine as a dual sport as it is licensed. it is hard for me to imagine not having a two stroke again.
Great bike you have, I bet it is a blast! 300 seems to be the sweet spot for me too. That's cool that you grew up with the same bikes that I did, I'm in those 50s as well. I like the way you put that, describing how they were like an on or off switch, so true! They are different animals today 100% in a good way! So glad we are both on two strokes again! Thanks for chiming in and contributing! Ride on!
Who sells the oil lid sock?
Brakes are Braketeck, I just switched from a 300 KTM Brembo to the GG 250 with Braketeck and I prefer the braketeck, I dont like touchy bralkes,
Which moped bracket for the trail tech temp gauge? I like this setup and want it as well. What all do i need to mount the temp gauge? Thanks.
Here is the link. www.treatland.tv/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=mlm-trail-tech-bracket&gclid=CjwKCAiAqNSsBhAvEiwAn_tmxbcMOnpTdrXIMae8SZ6KG-JmAb7YwRZUx26xznWsRAbKXP6ILTy7WRoCScYQAvD_BwE
If that link doesn't work right, please let me know. It fits the gauge perfectly, but does require one wrap of silicone tape around bars underneath bracket to tighten properly but it looks good when all is said and done, plus the bracket is reversible so it can go on left or right side of bars. I can do an install video for the husky when I add it on if that is helpful.
@@oregonmotojohn yep the link worked. thanks so much.
Good morning. Which chain have you put on the hart enduro ?
Greetings! It is a Pro-X Gold Ring Chain. I purchased it here: www.prymemx.com/products/520xring
He say he carries a spark plug and a wench around . Good luck getting to the plug without removing the seat and tank
They are designed for that the tank and seat removes in less than a minute there is even a quick cennect for the fuel line
@@nicholasanderson2461 .... Do you like carrying tools on the trail with you ?
@goodboyringo9716 I do actually, where I ride in the mountains a small tool kit is a necessity if you don't want to have to hike miles back to your vehicle when something breaks.
Foul plug city
