How Diamond Earrings Are Professionally Deep Cleaned | Deep Cleaned - Krátké a kreslené filmy
I’m a preschool teacher and my jeweler asked why yellow stuff was under the settings. She thought earwax, I clarified and said playdoh.
I love it!
I think ear wax
I definitely know how you feel! 🤣
should of said it was the stuff from your teeth how you used the pointy bit as a tooth pick 😂
I never really thought about it, but cleanings like this on precious jewelry really does make a BIG difference. Thanks for sharing! 👍
Everyone commenting on how dirty the earrings are, they could have been worn by an old lady with arthritis in her fingers or shoulders who is not able to care for herself properly. Be more aware and have some empathy.
THANK YOU!
No
Empathy for an imaginary old lady?
Empathy for anyone. We're saying be smart enough to think a bit past the surface.
@@xx_blasphemer_xx8148 Surface level thinking
Ive never and never let my studs get that dirty, i always cleaned them.. that's gross, how does eat wax get on them?
it's probably just sweat, shed skin, and dust, not actual earwax.
@@Ass_of_Amalek that's what I was thinking.
@@Ass_of_Amalek exactly
@@Ass_of_Amalek yup! I clean mine every few weeks otherwise they'd end up like that. I just soak them in soapy water for a day or so and most of the gunk comes of on its own. Then I give them a quick scrub with a spoolie brush, rinse them and they're good to go.
I just was looking in the comments to find the answer to this question!?!? 😂 wth
Earring price: $10 million
Hygiene price: $1
Wow someone didn’t take their earrings off for years I guess 😳😳
There’s something so satisfying about watching a deep cleaning
Fascinatingly gross. What great content / I love it!
I can’t imagine that anyone would let their earrings get so disgusting. Gross.
They must NEVER take them out
@@RedFlyingFox007 emphasizes on “never”, because I wear earrings full time, and they don’t even get this close to bad.
Same, those earrings are way too dirty.
I think I would be too ashamed to bring earrings looking like that to a professional… 🤮
I think they purposely gunk them up more to show the cleaning video for views.
Let’s bring up how Jared, and other stores like it, replace diamonds with fake or lower quality diamonds in jewelry
I didn't know that. Gonna look into it. Tnks
Not all stores do it, but it is definitely a disturbingly common tale with the big chains like Kay and Jared.
Or that they diamonds are completely valueless and the only reason why they hold "value" because of market control. Diamonds is a abundant gem
@@Monkeyboy1995project 50 years ago maybe, but not anymore. Many diamond mines have run out and closed in the recent years, and the price is jumping even higher than ever because of the demand from the new middle class in India and China.
@@piriyaj1347 they are so abundant even today. People in Africa where the majority of the mining of diamonds are at don't care about gemstones because it's just another rock to them. Also the reason why they jack up in the prices for diamonds is because they slowly release them out of their gaint warehouses so they don't flood the market with them. That's how they make them "rare" and "valuable"
Also if you ever travel to Africa and find a diamond and try to take it back home, you'll be arrested for taking property, because a certain company has a monopoly of the whole diamond industry in Africa. It's all blood diamonds anyways.
it’s funny she doesn’t understand how helpful a toothbrush is. the bristles work WONDERS to clean earrings
Could be just for the cameras, leading us to think such a tough job means to send family jewelry to a professional that pretends they don't just use a toothbrush and a air compressor for a delicate detail oriented spit shine
Dry cleaning with a needle gets the bulk of the build-up out of the setting without having to apply repeated mechanical forces by scrubbing which can damage soft or worn settings. Plus, you need to use an interstitial toothbrush to get into every crevice, and they're not very durable. And you have to chemically sterilise it after every use. Not so with a needle.
A stainless steel needle in contrast, can clean every crevice without disturbing the setting. It's cheap, durable, and easily cleaned and sterilised by passing it through a bench torch in a minute until it glows red. Jewellers have lots of different brushes for different applications, and they do use them on larger pieces. Not for diamond stud earrings. She's a professional who knows what she's doing. Customers who have the best quality pieces can afford the best finishing. People don't understand that the people who send their earrings to her are paying for her expertise and training. She won't damage the pieces, and will leave them completely clean and sterile. So, you could send her say, an diamond pavé set piece, with sweat, body fat, and personal care product residue, and she would get all the dirt and grime out from under the stones and the setting would be unharmed. That's because of her skill.
@@BigHenFor well said. I speak from a point of no experience with such things. As this expertise has use I appreciate it. Jewelry is a luxury however and for that reason I found it to be fair game for criticism albeit an ignorant one.
@@thisguy4614 We're all a bit wary and a bit cynical because we've been disappointed, and there are people who rip their customers off. But this lady was trained to use that needle because she wasn't just digging it in. She was precisely removing that debris without damaging the setting or the stone. Stainless steel pins can scratch the metal, which means it would have to be polished out. Also, the more she removed the less time it would have to spend in the ultrasonic cleaner, preventing pitting on the metal. She was doing everything right to protect the earrings as she was cleaning them. That's how I knew she was a trained jeweller. Earrings aren't always as durable as rings and the size means they are finicky. I think with the amount of build-up in those earrings even the customer is wary of handling them, and prefers just to wear them all the time. Lol
Exactly, I use an old toothbrush or a very soft facebrush. A little liquid soap, a little warm water, let them soak a little brush them through, rinse and repeat if necessary.
that is foul. Who tf let's their earrings get that nasty
Who wears their earrings in the shower? I always take them out to not risk losing them in the drain or getting buildup.
Personally I have lots of cartilage piercings and I have my regular lobes. I have gotten used to wearing them in there so that they can get cleaned well with warm water especially since they heal for ages. But I also wear better jewelry than butterfly backs.. mine are put in tightly enough for my own piercer to struggle to remove them lol
If you're wearing real diamonds, they should be screw backs 😏
@@Rai_S82 me? I don’t wear diamonds. Just gold
@@Danny-be1ex I was replying to the OP. I don't wear diamonds in my cartilage piercings either, just in the lower lobes 🙂
My diamond earrings have screwbacks so I don't take them off at all unless I am ready to switch them out.
For gold and diamonds...drop into a container equal parts ammonia and cold water...let soak for atleast 4 hrs ...(I soak overnight)...then rinse,....get a tooth brush and a cup of hot water and a few drops of dish soap...brush,brush,brush....rinse....voila.....sparkling like the day you bought it new
Forgot to mention get a "soft" toothbrush to minimize scratches on gold...
Did the owner wear those earrings inside the ear canal? Eww!
I hate when my earrings get dirty like that (not to that point) but it's so satisfying to clean though.
There's no reason why they should. Practice better hygiene lol
How does that even happen?
@@irisdutra5033 Dead skin can still get into the nooks and crannies of the earrings and just washing your ears with antibacterial soap often like I do won’t get rid of it all. Unless I literally take them out and scrub them every day there will be some build up, which I take care of when I switch out my earrings.
People really don't know that jewelry needs to be cleaned.
Wow! Cool to know how it's done.
Amazing results, now I need to check my earrings!
Soaking in hot water and Dawn dish soap works as well to...
Who allows their jewelry to get like that??
This is so ridiculously satisfying. 💎
I don't have diamond earrings, but I do have gold hoops (18 or 24k idk). I don't take them out ever (except like once every few months to wipe them down with alcohol and clear out a little bit of gunk). I can't take them out for longer periods because the piercing will start to close immediately. I have eczema on my ears (weird I know, but I've had it since childhood) and so the only material that my ears tolerate long term is gold (I tried sterling silver and it was not well liked). Yeah, sometimes they're gunky due to eczema but other than that it's still okay.
Ypu ears mat also be receptive to implant grade titanium and implant grade niobium. They are two metals that are used in professional peircing settings for all peircing now due to the body safe rating. Niobium is oftne sued for people woth super seating skin such as your self woth eczema on your ears.
Gold has nickel in it, which might be the problem. You might be able to wear fine silver (Sterling has copper in it) or niobium/ titanium as ShadowFoxFire suggested. It's frustrating when a piercing won't cooperate
Wow yeah i need to get my earrings deep cleaned sometime
Hi can you tell me how I would clean the old style rock diamonds earrings from the 1800s in 18ct gold?
I’m never kissing a girls ear .
Boys wear earrings too~
@@editgalore3928 he probably won't kiss a guy's ear either
@@dwarrior7546 you never know~ 😁
Okay I get it. People don't take them off. Shampoo, conditioner, perfume , hair spray. It adds up if you never take the earnings off
Wow, that last one looked like a completely different earring! 🤯
Idk about you guys, but I was just triggered when the other earring fell down at 1:20 and just worried that it will fall down the drain lol
That is disgusting that someone would let their earing fill with earwax. Very unhygienic person.
It's not earwax 🙄🙄🙄
How does this much dirt get on the earrings
The way I’ve seen is with women just throwing them in their purses and forgetting them.
@@The.Artistic.Squirrel but it had WAX, who keeps wax in their purse?
@@NoeDactyl not me. I’m a tomboy gal and I hate purses. But my mom has a huge purse akin to carry-on luggage amd ive found some disturbing stuff in there trying to find something for her. I don’t have to understand Why to accept that some folks just do weird stuff.
@@The.Artistic.Squirrel LMAO 🤣 you're absolutely right! Some questions may just be left unanswered... For the sake of all of us lol
She don’t even bother to put a gloves on when she knew it’s a buildup earwax 😩 and she has long nails
Who tf let's their earrings get that dirty
0:30 Yeah, the diamond earrings that my car mechanic wears everyday are just the same. I told him a hundred times that he should just save them for weekends but they were a gift from a satisfied customer & he says it's better than advertising. What can you do?
I'm just gonna say I've had the same pair of earrings for like two years straight never do I have that much build up lol plus I use soap every day and I use the shower head and use the straight stream to hit the earrings while there still on me there always clean even tho I work outside with dirt and oil dealing with cars
What level of magnification is she using? I doubt you could see the gunk in so much detail if cleaning these at home.
I clean my earrings 😌 regularly.
I can smell these earrings till here,
I got similar ones in gold and I clean them every time I remove them(in like 2-3 months).
How do you get earwax in your goddamned earrings?
That's exactly what I was thinking!
Everyone is complaining about wax, it's almost like they didn't listen to anything in the video and shut their brain off when she explained about hair products and other shower-related material.
Gloves? You really want her to wear gloves while trying to handle teeny tiny earrings? I doubt you wear gloves when you're handling someone else's phone or anything else. It's called washing your hands.
Seriously now.
The way that gunk looked under magnification, it's like they were looted off a ripe corpse.
Metal pick? Seriously? Use the rubber Gum toothpicks!
Ekkk I would never wear my earrings in the shower or during a hair service ! I am afraid to loose one down the drain.
Ever wonder why you can't return earing once purchased
I would use a polymer or plastic needle to make sure to not scratch the metal even a small toothbrush or wood tooth pick works good.. and of course dish Soap. The same kinds of grime we wash our hands from is the same type of soap I use... and then try with hair dryer and wipe with 100% Cotton. AND BAM MIRROR LIKE FINISH RESULTS..
I never wear my earrings in the shower so they don't get dirty too quickly🙂and I either clean them myself or get them cleaned at the jewellers🙂
An entire community has been wiped out, but the owner will definitely build that ecosystem in no time.
I just soak mine in diluted dish soap for a few minutes and use a toothbrush to remove all the gunk. It does the job for me 🤷♀️.
be careful, toothbrush bristles can scratch stones and certain metal
IKR! This is overkill for sure
I never wear my earrings to shower, shampoo or condition. First of all, I would be afraid they would fall down the drain. Secondly, I do clean them from time to time with jewelry cleaner. Do people not realize how dirty they are?
Perfect video to watch while eating
How she uses her bare hands surprises me. 😭
I've never gotten my earrings THAT dirty!
is anything just cleaned these days? or is everything 'deep' cleaned?
Another earing that fall: Excuse me? I'm down here!
That's DISGUSTING
The owner didn't bath for 20 years or so.
If I had earrings so expensive, you wouldn't catch my taking them into the shower! I'm too afraid they'll go down the shower drain
What i do to clean my earrings is i use a small plastic jar and put the jewelry inside and put decent amount of alcohol, close the lid and shake the jar, if you clean earrings you'll definitely see alot of dead skin. It's disgusting and kinda satisfying
409 and tooth paste works for me
How do you get earwax on the earring *back*
It's not earwax. It's probably hair conditioner and/or hair pomade/paraffin wax. And that's a year's worth.
yeah.
I know them earrings be hella cheesy 🤢
1:20 stress
Gross! I wish she had been wearing gloves and not touching the earrings with her bare hands, especially knowing what was on/in them. Great job cleaning, glad I don't have to do it, because I gagged just watching this vid. I would be ashamed to take something that looked like that to another person to clean though! Can the owners not afford to have rubbing alcohol or Windex?
Damn Lilith! You made me fall off the sofa! I’m with you! Alcohol swabs are super cheap! NASTY. I have loads of jewelry and wear what matches my wardrobe. To show off these earrings, I’m sure their hair is short or put up. Do they really think people can’t see the nastiness in their earrings?
@@pamelanadel3787 IKR!? I couldn't take something that nasty to be "cleaned" by another person. I would have to soak them in Dawn, scrub with soft toothbrush and alcohol pad them first.
That's Jarod
I have no idea why this grossed me out so much. I love watching earwax extraction videos and never get grossed out by them, but this video definitely did it. Maybe because its not meant to be in the earring, idk?
If I break my diamond who can I go to to get it put together
Bruh
if you break a gem stone, it's never gonna be put together again. it's either garbage, or perhaps it can be cut into one or more smaller stones that will be worth much less all together. if you break the metal parts of jewellery, jewellers can fix it. always keep even very small parts and being it all to them, then they can decide what can be put back together and what's more convenient to replace.
oh and if you broke a stone, it most likely wasn't a diamond. they require a lot of force to break, much more than other parts of any piece of jewellery they're on. a gem diamond doesn't break if you drop it or step on it, you pretty much need to put it on a hard surface and hit it with a hammer to break it. glass and other common diamond replacements break much more easily. that's a big part of why diamonds have long been such popular gems.
If you broke a diamond it's not a diamond.
If you break a diamond it's was probably fake.
Comments above have no idea how easily a baguette cut diamond can break, lol... sides of a round diamond can chip easily also.
Yes diamonds are very hard. But yes they can break when they aren't like fist size, lol.
Me: why and how could these people be so disgusting?
The i looked at my bike.
Me: understandable.
The moral of the story? Take your damn studs out and clean them IMMEDIATELY 🤢🤢
find a way to not do it over the sink though.
@@Ass_of_Amalek hahaha I was literally 🤏 this close to losing the backing of my earring yesterday morning down the drain🤣
How does anyone let their earnings get that nasty.
It's honestly embarrassing to see how rich and how expensive the diamonds you're wearing are yet your hygiene is like this, especially to the diamond earrings. I guess some rich people were not trained strictly.
I mean...to say she's not worried about her hygiene is a bit of a stretch. Build up happens. She said a lot of shampoo and conditioner gets caught up in ear rings. There's a lot in our environments that will get caught up in earrings. Including dust.
And you don't have to be rich to own diamonds. They're actually very common.
trained strictly? did your father punish you severely?
trained strictly? did your father punish you severely?
CZcams recommendations must hate me.
I just realized.... How did she get earwax inside the earring?? Was she wearing it inside her ear??
Earwax is naturally pushed out of your ear. Surely you've heard not to stick stuff down your ear holes because they are self cleaning? Part of that self cleaning process is forcing ear wax out of your ear canal, so some gets onto the outside of your ears, including the lobes.
How can they let them get so rammy 🤢I regularly clean mine looked great once cleaned
Were they buried in a 6 foot sand pit???
Those Was In Someone Belly Button Or Sumn 😭
Take your earrings off when you shower folks
Why would someone in their right mind willingly drop those nasty pieces off for someone else to clean?
I wonder where those earings have been.. .
When put in water it drop, lol
who TF let’s jewelry gets this gross
Ewww that's so gross. It's amazing how beautiful everything looks after the cleaning
Me: Throw it in vinegar and salt mixture duh.
Vinegar and salt? Lol.
@@BigHenFor It's great for removing rust or layers of oxidisation if you're lazy.
I refuse to believe people r this nasty, like i know they are but dang🤢
Diamond earring with a butterfly back 🥴
Why I am watching this
Who has one earring cleaned?
Corpse earrings
Why take the time to scrape the gunk out when she could have put them in the ultrasonic and 99% of that gunk would have just came out?? 🤔
UMM I believe the owner of those earrings need to see an ear doctor
It sells it for me that rich people are effing dirty
People buy these things but don't have enough sense to clean them?
Don't put your fingers in the ultrasonic, your nails will fall off
That person should be embarrassed. That is DISGUSTING!
You need to put the microphone closer to your mouth can barely hear you. Good video
It's disturbing how she isn't wearing gloves and actually let her nail and finger come in contact with someone's earwax...
I still wouldn't wear any of that unless it was boiled for a month. Jesus that's gross.
No gloves. Just vibes
Thats pretty gross
