  • We take a closer more in-depth look at Skoda's all-new, all-electric premium SUV. Big range and even bigger on features, it may come with a hefty price tag but there's plenty for this Czech car maker (alright VW) to crow about.

The drum brakes at the back are actually a good idea - anyone who's owned an electric car for a long enough period of time, will testify that the rear brakes just generally rust to hell through lack of use (in countries that have a reasonable amount of rain - I live in Norway, so....). Most of the time you're using the re-gen braking, so the actual brakes just don't get used. I've owned a E-golf for 5 years and had to change the rear brake discs and pads twice in that period because of rust. You have to drive like a lunatic to get them hot enough to dry out properly. Got my 80x last week and I'm very happy - Skoda have sorted out the options in the last year (it's a lot simpler), so you get a lot of stuff as standard that used to be extras spread over a lot of different option packs. Got a few nice surprises/extras that I hadn't bargained on when I ordered it last year 🙂

Thanks for watching and the information. It's always good to hear from owners. We are told that drum brakes add an extra 15km of range too.

No. Only a some fetuses that are as basis equipment that is not en option. The only not passible to get element in founders edition is the badge with number of the car. Mine with number 1498 is full option. You can't fitt more in this car

Thanks for watching and comments. The wait (however painful and arduous) will be worth it.

@@TarmacLife Hope so, my little brother ordered 80 RWD, 2 month later and he got today message that car will be here soon. I'm waiting 80x and that front engine is reason for long delivery some supply issues.

The Eniaq has a serious flaw no review seems to mention; perhaps none of them ever had to charge one in a busy car park.
It is, however, extremely obvious once you notice it; the charger port is located where the fuel filler is located on the ICE models - which means you have to reverse into a charging bay, with the charger to the right of the car; this isnt always possible.
You have to do this, because the Rapid charger leads WONT REACH if you try it any other way.
Most EVs have the charger in the middle at the front, or on a front or rear corner, so having the charger to the left or right works.
I know the above is true, because I tried to help an Eniaq driver try and get close enough to a charger recently; the bay he needed to use was occupied by a slow charging Tesla; and even getting his car within 1 cm of the other side of the charger station, the cable wouldnt reach around, or over, the car.
It was CLOSE, but he couldnt get it straight enough to insert.
