    The best thing about the PCP stampede is that excellent springers are getting cheaper. I know that a Walther Parrus is not in any league with the precision and accuracy of regulated PCPs , but getting one for $170 in 22 is a great deal - the gun is German built quality, that although it’s not a 100 yard gun , it will hit small game at 20 to 40 yards and last many lifetimes of a PCP. Dependability and durability in the long run trumps super sophisticated rifles. MHO. Very good work gentlemen.

    Just my 5 cents. I wouldn’t buy Chinese gun. And I don’t mean to get political but considering the current global situation, I do not want my money going to that region of the world if you know what I mean. My heart is with FX... just can’t beat the quality and value for the features. But, there is RAW, and Benjamin is putting out beautiful stuff too. So... American made Marauder was my firs PCP....and still my go to every day rifle and it makes me smile every time I use it!

    We are going to miss these get-togethers when there gone. The Air Venturi Avenger/Nova Vista Liberty MK2 is going to change things I believe. I have 2 Liberty’s that out shoot my FXs out to 75 yards and that is a real kick in my pants considering that 99.5% of my shots are within that distance. Even my Gauntlet isn’t a slouch at 75 yards but not as good as my Liberty’s. Granted I tuned and polished these Liberty’s but not a lot either. My FXs are as good as they will ever get...(until an improvement part comes out that we have to buy)...and spent a lot of time fine tuning them and yet even more cash. 1 is a Crown and the other is a Dreamline so was it really worth the money in the end. The Liberty’s are NOT as high of standard, triggers not match but very good and adjustable, or are they in quality and precision of build but still good and they are more consistent, and more accurate and have put quite a few dollars in my pocket proving it. Maybe I hit the barrel/regulator lottery...TWICE...but still the facts are what they are and they are more fun to shoot, smooth action and feed, magazines easy to load and cheap to buy, not very pellet fussy, and much less stressful when it comes to scratches, nicks. The Avenger...I hope will have a wood option eventually...if as good as the Liberty???...yeah... I’m not going to be buying another high end for a while when these are doing it and doing well for a fraction of the cost and still letting me have the fun of tinkering and tuning without having to buy yet more stuff to reach their full potential or expand the platform for yet another option down the road yet again. LEGO guns in my mind are money pits that just keep getting more expensive and heavier as time passes. Almost if not all air gun blocks and components are CNC made which in of itself is precision made. Designs on the other hand is a different matter. But still, even a low end gun is a precision weapon. Fit, form, function are without question what I believe y’all mean when you said the feel of a 3000$ gun versus the feel of a 300$ gun and I get that but still we are being taken for a ride just a bit. I personally do not believe for a second there is 1000$ worth of parts, time and material in any of these guns. If the Chinese can put the money in the right places like the Liberty has and maybe the Avenger will...then there is no reason the other manufactures can’t do the same. A 3000$...Delta Wolf in mind here...is so full of themselves that they could even ask such a price for a damn pellet gun. Yep...no doubt it is next level state of the art without question. But is really worth 3000+$???To me the more complex something is the more shit there is to go wrong. “KISS” Keep It Simple Stupid! That gun may have a grand in it with all the tech and materials and labor and that’s a big maybe. It isn’t made with precious metals or anything like gold, silver or platinum. I just can’t see the price tag being justified to anyone other than the guy that says..” look what I have...it’s cool like me” don’t you wish you could afford one too? Do I want one...oh yeah, you bet your sweet ass I do. I would love to see what all the hype is about. For me, a big part of the fun of air gunning is the tinkering and improving what you have, getting the most out of it, at least for me it is and is an outlet for my creativity and ingenuity. These higher end guns simply cost way too much to do that without the fear and concern that comes from possibly damaging a 1000-2000$ gun versus a 300$ gun. I get priceless value from the tinkering and modifying and not for power but smoothness, efficiency, accuracy, and sometimes appearance too. Power can be gotten out of them also but often at a cost of shot count and accuracy. On a different note but not...The Delta Wolf is exciting in a lot of ways to some but so out of reach in cost for most and there isn’t anything left to do that an app won’t do for you. To me this gun will be the end of days for guys like me. My SK-19 in .22 is so damn complicated that I dare not work on the rear of the system (1) because of the warranty (2)complexity and special tools required maybe (3) no information out on it yet and it is NOT a Huben which there is a lot of info out there on. Trigger group is completely different, on the opposite side, and way over complicated compared to the Hubens. This gun is in the shop yet again and not for trying to get power out of it either. This gun has never went over 947 FPS with anything from 15.4-22 grain pellets or FX Slugs. Not a power junkie. It just likes to stop shooting??? Go figure. Only 5-6000 rounds and the AOA shop gun in.25 has well over 10,000+ with no issues??? Yeah it’s awesome and fun when it’s working and really accurate but not as accurate as the Liberty’s of the FXs either..close but not as. The Avenger I think may change things. I hope it forces the cost down for those who want a high end gun that’s tuned out of the box and don’t want to or know how to tinker. But some of these lower priced tunable tinker guns will always find a home with me and many others that see the real value and not a price tag of value. Sorry for the long read. Lockdown has me at my wits end and could use a tinker gun right now. And YES BROCOCK!!! Really!!! Yeah they really need to change that and I would really love to know why they chose that name too... thanks for the laugh guys we all needed it right now. Means a lot in these messed up times dealing with this damn CCP virus. Thanks again and stay safe and well guys.

      Well said.....I completely agree. I have 4 Hatsans and I love them. Dissambled them to smooth out, regulate, tune, and paint. I did purchase a Weihrauch 98 in .22cal for my "Grab & Go" rifle around the house and property. I spent more on my Springer than on my PCPs! Ha! I knew I would be shooting it far more due to its simplicity and ease of use. No reg. pressure to look after. Just load and shoot. So, I went German quality....I am kind of looking and watching the FX Dreamline platform as I do need to start utilizing slugs for my farther shots out here in farm fields winds...The B.C. of slugs is the draw.......If I choose to run an FX it would solely be for the barrels and power plenum options & adjustability. I sure as hell am not going to spend 1800+ on an ugly, "Hey look at me" Impact. I'm a traditional kind of guy so I would be looking at the Dreamline Classic. That being said, those decisions I have made as an Air Gun consumer have been researched and slowly made due to not wanting to waste nor be taken for $$ by an overpriced product to pad pockets of greedy old men. We'll see what the future holds!

      Cornfields- Crosshairs thanks. Depending on the power output of your springer...the FX Hybrids are as you probably already know 22 grains and NSA is making slugs in the 17.5 grain size I believe. If your springer is in .177 there aren’t.177 slugs out there that maybe light weight enough for your gun. eBay has a really good selection from independent makers. Stephen from Air Velocity Sport or AVS make some really wicked accurate slugs for my Liberty’s and down to 18 grain at one time maybe still.

    • @cornfields-crosshairs4182
      @cornfields-crosshairs4182 Před 4 lety +1

      @@heathhalfhill6867 My springer is in the 16-16.5 ftlbs neighborhood. I have seen Griffen Slugs being utilized by a handful of shooters lately. They have a great selection and varing light weights.......also make .177cal. for those who are shooting small game at distance. More feather than fur around here for me as I might have decimated what once was a Red Squirrel convention! They really felt the accuracy of a 14.66 FTT out of a Weihrauch. It took about 2 years to not see any for a bit. They were everywhere as I have 9 very large and old Black Walnut trees as natural feeders....Go figure....Ha! I returned them to the ecosystem for the creatures of the night to come and get......and boy they do!

    I think high end is in the eye of the buyer..the Benjamin Bulldog..high end for them,or Seneca and sam yang... They could be considered high end korean air guns.. depending on model they can shoot multiple ammo with decent accuracy and power wheel that any hunter could fall in love with.. Some companies use almost the same identical workings in various price levels just by using a different stock and a couple tweaks like the hatsan flash QE at $289 and the flash pup for $399 and well below high end price(yes,the cocking linkage is different adding cost) but really its the same thing styled different.. To me,really high end are the anschutz and hammerli competition rifles and pistols that are strictly target not for hunting or plinking..

    I call these F.P.S. wars,..simply childishness. It's like the other industries , Companies who made chainsaws,.then the 'wars'' started here too,..my saw is 3 H.P.,..well mine is 4,..ha, that's nothing mine if 6 HP etc.etc. same with small engines Briggs & Stratton used to sell their engines by Horse Power size,..then others jumped on that 'band wagon' too,..then somebody at sea level discovered that his engine was 'more powerful' than his buddy who lived at Colorado's elevation, and then his X horse power engine couldn't perform as well.
    Having said all that it's time for the Air Gun Industry to smartened up and got more realistic with their advertised F.P.S. ratings.
    Pretty soon Governments agencies are going to say,.".Hey, what;'s going on here with those 'BB guns" we'd better check into this" ..now, here comes a tonne of regulations all over again!
