    This black & white educational film is about the nation of Israel. Copyright is by Geva Films, one of the earliest Israeli film studios, and it dates to circa the early 1950s. It was written and directed by Y. Zaretski with the hope of raising money for the Jewish National Fund. The film shows views of the young Israeli nation with scenes in the Negev including Elad, Beersheba, ancient Masada and Ein Gedi.
    Opening titles: Geva Films presents Israel on the March - The Eternal Struggle (:08). Sand, mountains and hills of the desert (:40). Map of Northern Africa (1:35). A man walks his flock of sheep; camels stand around (1:57). Desert wasteland (2:26). Ruins in the desert (2:48). Men ride camels in the desert (3:38). Sheep are rounded up by a shepherd (4:03). People in the desert (4:37). Blasting in the desert; men at work with modern equipment, Israel is being built (5:14). Young and old help build the country (5:52). A garden has been built (6:32). Growing vegetables without soil - hydroponics (6:48). Trying to grow fruit (7:24). Wheat fields are plowed (7:38). Giant pipes are placed together for water flow (8:05). Barren soil is moved (8:21). Search for oil as a drill is placed into the ground near the Dead Sea (8:42). Water of the Dead Sea (9:18). Men drill into rock (9:35). Trucks move rock (9:53). New roads have been built (10:06). Road signs (10:28). Be’er Sheva or Beersheba is the largest city in the Negev desert of southern Israel. Often referred to as the "Capital of the Negev", it is the center of the fourth most populous metropolitan area in Israel (10:37). President of Israel Yitzhak Ben-Zvi meets with Arab notables (10:58). (Ben-Zvi was elected President of Israel on 8 December 1952 and continued to serve in the position until his death in 1963.) Men work in the fields; when a horn goes off, the men grab their weapons and protect the borders (11:25). Ein Gedi, on the shores of the Dead Sea; people bathe in the refreshing waters (12:04). Israeli soldiers in a truck head to Masada (12:35). Israeli youth soldiers look out in the distance (12:53). Trucks move supplies, people at work (13:36). Jeeps on the roads (13:48). King Solomon’s mines (14:03) on the road to Elad. Buildings; boating (14:36). A small group of men row a boat (14:59). End credits (15:15).

      @@njjeff201 Sometimes it’s annoying to always hear the same unbased arguments and you may lose your temper and call someone underinformed. „They stole the land“ is such a stereotype. Why not start with that and look into the legal land purchases of the settlers? No land robbery.

      I thought after the conquest of America the world decided that uprooting established people and taking their land was wrong. This seems to be all we hear about as Americans anymore. And here you celebrate the extremely violent ejection of peaceful Palestinians from their homes and land. For compensation they are mocked, persecuted, murdered, terrorized, and given third class citizenship in their own country.
