I recommend using an old 5 gallon bucket cut off a piece and plastic weld it
Tried this 1st on mine and last 1 trip 😹
Then patched by melting in more material I’d cut from one of my other kayaks
Stronger than new and sanded back into shape
Flex seal did get me on the water for the day though
I'm in atx let's go yakin when the damn winter crap is over and I have the same yak from academy

Don’t work out the can but I’ve had luck with flex tape and plastic JBweld
I was searching to see if this stuff worked and saw your post. I feel stupid now because I’m a JB Weld junkie. Lol. I’m about to fix my leak forever. Lol.
Bro I had the same problem, I dragged it around and got crack on the same spot 😂
How long did it take to wear through again from dragging?
It took about 2 years to wear through the kayak, then the flex seal lasted about 3 months
2 years later how well has the patch lasted?
It lasted about 4 months then broke again 😂

Lasted about 2 months then came off, not bad considering I used that kayak all the time
