I never considered the siren to be symbolic of her father’s passing assuming an ambulance came to his aid. That’s very interesting. Now normally, I would say it would be interesting to get a flashback on how Luz and Camila witnessed this moment, but considering many have clarified that this whole thing is indicative of Dana’s dad passing, I don’t want to unintentionally crave something that could potentially hurt Dana mentally unless she’s fine with it. The fact she wanted to present this is strong already, but I don’t want to her to feel obligated to discuss this if she isn’t comfortable with it. In short, it’s her decision on whether or not she chooses to discuss this more via Luz and her dad, and I’m fine if she chooses to or chooses not to.

@jf k I think the issue was more her lying about the siren and not being honest about the fact that she was struggling. She didn't need to say why, like you said that's for her to share when and if she wants to, but if she was honest about the fact that she was having a bad day or not feeling great things might have played out in a healthier way. Her being dishonest, while incredibly understandable, led to her hurting Amity.

This was one heck of an episode when it came to Luz and Amity. The revelation of Luz's father passing away was shocking. Glad to see I'm not the only one that saw the abomaton's alarm reminding Luz of her truama along with her constant escapism. Losing a parent or loved one will always be hard, no matter who you are. It was also nice to see Amity and Alador try to mend their relationship at the end. The warning that Warden Wrath mentioned about the witches "uniting" with the titan on the Day of Unity and that some witches are not conviced that the day is a good thing further pushes the idea that Belos will cause a genocide of all witches.

Amity shaking her father's hand rather than hugging him and stating "It's a start" is a nice parallel between Willow and herself repairing THEIR relationship in a more gradual manner rather than instant gratification, as it was the exact words Willow used in Understanding Willow. A good nod to Amity taking cues from lessons she's learned from previous interactions.
Also the alarm bringing up traumatic memories is a cool theory, I figured it made a similar noise to her phone reminder sound which of course reminded her of missing her father-honoring tradition with her mother, so maybe a bit of both is true.

I was actually shocked with last week episode, I honestly thought Luz’s dad left when she was a kid or he was out on others long business trips. Luz had every right to be upset and even jealous about Amity and her dad, since Luz doesn’t have her father and how she’s not at home with her mom anymore and how she tries to stay distracted throughout the whole day. I can relate to Luz since, I tend to push others away or keep myself distracted whenever something personal or bad happens since middle now and sadly I still do it now at 19 but I tend to open up more about my problems now. 9:33 I was wondering if Alador was meant to be the leader for the Abomination coven. Perhaps Darius and Alador were friends in their youth and both wanted to lead the coven. But Darius knew that Alador is better than him which would suggest their rivalry and why he is booing at him in the picture. It's similar to Lilith and Eda when they were signing up for the emperor's coven but Lilith got jealous since she knew her sister is better than her.

My theory as to the difference between Darius and Alador when it comes to abomination Magic is that Alador more uses it like a tool or weapon, something that can be improved and fixed. Honed and perfected. While Darius sees the magic as a part of himself, hence why he usually coats part of his arms or his entire body in them, and the reason for his hair. From what we have seen, Darius' way of using magic does seen more versatile and impressive, so perhaps this seeming restraint from Alador is a point of contention between the two?

I honestly couldn't imagine what Luz was going through. But I can kinda relate. In a manner of speaking.
Back in December of 2020, I almost lost my own dad. I won't go into too much detail, but it was really bad to where he looked gray. This was at like probably 15 minutes after 2 am. We were all about to go to bed until that all happened.
This was also my senior year of high school so I was already stressed with that being stuck in virtual classes. I was so scared I was gonna lose my dad thinking he was gonna miss my graduation and then my wedding and the birth of my first child.
I prayed. Like. Went to the floor on my knees prayed. Bawling my eyes out. Thankfully my dad is still alive and kicking. As my mom says, "he's a tough son of a bitch."
My dad is doing okay now BTW. He has his moments, but he's getting better. He had the best doctors help him out. They put a skin graph over his neck wound as well so it can heal better.
Anyone who's lost a parent, especially if they're really young, finds it hard to reach out and talk about it. You can see where Luz is coming from with that since its a really sensitive subject for her. Props to Amity for trying to make her feel better afterwards.

It states back from an early episode of season two where it shows a vision of the day unity’s aftermath. This got me thinking that belos is gonna converge two worlds into one system. This raises some suspicion that once the day of unity is complete, the locals could make awful assumptions about demons and witches which could be discriminating from their side. Possibly being hunted down by the government such as Area 51 and the SCP foundation.

Im guessing from even the layout of the rune being(from up to down) “ice falling through light and landing on fire” that ice and fire are supposed to be steam or something and light representing the sky since the light rune is from the sky. So when you(the ice) fall through the sky, you land on fire(creating steam.) So therefore you are “falling on a cloud” so you are briefly saved but since clouds aren’t solid, the “cloud” dissipates and you still fall but safely. Idk, it’s kinda complicated and I’m kinda talking out of my ass but 🤷🏻‍♂️ for all I know it could just be ice and fire making water and light still being sky and it’s just a nod to the trope of “no fall damage if you fall into water”

Also thank you!!❤️ the more and more I think about it I’m guessing it’s the “no fall damage if you fall in water” because ice plus fire makes water more often then the steam theory. And since it is Luz that made it and she said you have to do more than just make the runes, you need the intention. And Liz is pretty nerdy so I’m guessing she knows about that trope. And by extension Dana(who loves all things fantasy including video games) is probably well aware of that trope. Either way it was really fun to think about so thank you for bringing it up!❤️🙂

The reason I bring this up is because some of the most impressive feats (outside of Eda's) were performed with Luz either being directly involved or in close proximity to the spell being cast. Do you find this theory plausible or am I just finding something where there is nothing?

is it weird that I want the titan to be the main villain that luz will defeat? like it's manipulating witbane (aka Emperor belos) and using the day of unity for it to come back to life and wreak havoc on the human realm. (like it probably did in the boiling isles before someone killed it)
i mean think about it, ON the mural during Echos of the past. the shape and supposed rib cage of the monster on the right is oddly titan like to me, not to mention the similar design it has to the unused flashback in Hunting palismen, that showcases the titan's silhouette of the full body.
here's my theory. the boiling isles was actualy once a peaceful world with cool waters and land, until the titan suprisngly showed up and starting to turn the world into a nightmare. and it's probably to assume that with the titans blood, it would probably travel to different world to world making the water boil and overflow the land. King's species and heck, the old wild witches probably worked together to vanquish it and kill it before any more damage could be done, but it isn't over as it probably before death, pulled witbane to the witch dimension to help study and revive it.. and when the day of unity hits, and it makes it into the human realm, it will continue it's curse upon the lands. Heck, to probably fuel this theory, The idea of witbane making a genocide could probably be part of the Titan's plan, Kiling any powerful witch That could be able to stop it's revival before it can reach to the human realm... and continues consuming worlds in fire.

For Luz's guilt and the response of the alarm (of which I originally thought was meant to be like her alarm for the event, but the idea of it being sirens is more interesting... And sad), I have a theory that maybe her father sacrificed himself or something similar to save Luz from death herself.
It would explain Luz's guilt, her want to protect everyone around her (from worry and really anything else), give the poor girl even more trauma, and explain the harsh reaction to the alarm from the abomination- hearing it while already in distress might have thrown her back into the memory of her father saving her life, at the cost of his own

I really loved this episode. We got some great Lumity moments and that emotional moment with Luz talking about her dad really shows how great Luz and Amity are together, even when they're mad at each other or going through stuff, they still want to be with each other, and help each other by being honest and open with each other, which is really nice. Also, I agree with Luz Amity's outfit is so pretty, and Luz totally pulls off that jacket. Plus, it was cool to see another side of Amity's dad and shows that Amity might be able to get through to him at least and have some kind of positive relationship with at least one of her parents. It also shows how a lot of characters are a bit more complex than their first appearances may make them seem, we saw this last episode with Darius too. Also, it was great that Emira and Edric got to help out and get some focus in this episode, more so Edric, but still, it was great to see them again, especially Edric bonding with and helping Eda. Just a really great episode.
Also, the trend I mentioned in my last comment on the previous episode continues here, as we once again see how the Emperor's Coven is slowly falling apart. As of now in this episode, we have Warden Wrath telling Eda that many others working for Belos are also starting to have doubts about the Day of Unity with some thinking it might not just be the end of Wild Magic, but all Magic in general, which honestly is probably what Belos is planning, based on what we learn about Belos in Episode 12 he said he only needs to live long enough to see his plan completed so he obviously planning to die after the Day of Unity and based on his prejudice against Witches, I'm 100% certain he plans to bring his Emperor and everyone in the Boiling Isles down with him. Why he seemingly has to fuse the Human and Demon Realms together to do that is unclear at this point, but still.
However, I just noticed a new trend in these last four episodes that seems to have been paired with Belos empire slowly falling apart. A trend you pointed out as well. That trend being how Luz and Eda are slowly gaining more support against Belos now, while his own forces are following apart.
Episode 11: Our heroes' main army consisted of basically just Luz, Amity, Eda, King, Hooty, Willow, and Gus, they had a few other allies yes such as Lilith, but their force was still pretty small to oppose an Empire.
Episode 12: Not only did Lilith fully cement herself as part of the group against Belos with how much she's shown to grow and care for Luz as a niece, but Eda reconciled with her father so now they have the support of both of Eda's parents against Belos too.
Episode 13: Skara and Vinny saw how terrible the Emperor's Coven can be I'm pretty sure they've been alienated against Belos's forces now and thus they will probably support Luz and the gang now too.
And now here Episode 14: Edric and Emira to a lesser extent seem to be fully supporting Luz and Eda against Belos with how Edric helped Eda to get info out of Wrath and bonded with Eda with her even telling him he has a future in Wild Magic. But that's not all, with Amity now seeming to have a chance at a real relationship with her father, she may be able to convince him to either cut off the Emperor's supply of Abmitons or at the very least weaken them so Luz and the gang have an easier time taking them down thus weakening Belos military might substantially. And that's not the only way they can now weaken Belos military, as Eda learned from Wrath many people are starting to have their doubts about the Day of Unity, and with how smart Eda is she will probably be able to use this as an opportunity to get people to defect and join her rebellion, thus giving Luz and the gang the numbers they need to actually fight a war against Belos and weakening Belos's forces at the same time.

For me that thing that hit me hardest that I think deserves its own episode is how amity communicates with Luz in their relationship.
Amity had every right to feel angry, hurt and betrayed by Luz not only keeping things from her but lying to her, and instead of lashing out, which is a common response, she sets her hurts aside and recognizes those are just the symptom from something deeper and harder going on for her partner. She doesn't take the harm personally, she looks for the actual cause and offers support and safety. This is one of the healthiest relationships I've ever seen on screen
