Lemon and Poppy Seed Sponge Ingredients:
4 Eggs
100g Sugar
120g Plain Flour
30ml Unsalted Butter
30ml Milk
1Tbsp Lemon Zest
1Tbsp Poppy Seed
1Tsp Lemon Extract
Lemon Sugar Syrup(1:1:1 ratio)
Buttercream Ingredients:
500g Unsalted Butter
330g Condensed Milk (add 70g more if you like it sweet)
Lemon Curd Ingredients:
3 Eggs
100g Sugar
15g Cornstarch
80g Lemon Juice
20g Water
50g Unsalted Butter

Is génoise sponge always dry? I’ve tried making it a few times and it was always like that. The cake you made looks really nice though. I’ve tried to pipe like that and it’s much harder than it looks.
It is slightly dry than butter sponge because of lack of oil/butter in the recipe but it should not be too dry.. applying sigar syrup really help to keep it moist for longer. Another thing is, it does tend to go dry if it's not stored properly in the fridge. Always make sure you cover it completely if you are not going to consume same day.🙂

hi is the buttercream stable even on hot weather?
Yes it is stable in hot weather for up to 2hrs. Any more and it should be chilled. 🙂

Yes def you can.. lemon and poppyseed are classic combination but you can totally skip it if you want to.make lemon cake😊😊
