Maxi Allegri and Juventus are struggling. After his surprise signing back in 2021, things have not gone at all to plan. In fact, Juventus look like they are going backwards with the Italian manager in charge. Juventus has officially been eliminated from the Champions League.

It comes to show now that Juve shouldn't have sacked Pirlo and backed him. They are constantly doing bad and fishy transfers and it's coming to haunt them. Like who swaps Cancelo for Danilo doesn't makes sense.

All he’s ever been is a ego manager. He’s never been an elite tactician like a Guardiola, Klopp or even Mourinho. He took the team that Conte built and all he had to do was manage the players. Now that his team is significantly less experienced and lacking in talent vs his first stint, he’s struggling. He’s like a poor man’s Ancelotti except Ancelotti knows how to adapt his tactics over time . You can’t win consistently with a team that just sits deep and looks for counter attacks. Looking back, Pirlo was actually the best option. Only problem was his lack of experience

@rabonaTv. That 4th position of pirlo has to be contextualised a bit.that season was an exceptional one having the entire top resurrected having almost all their best season in a decade. Napoli ending on a 5th spot with 76 points is even a record for serie A, making getting top 4 exceptionally tough and expensive that year. To put that in context, allegri debut first time where roma ended second with 73 points! That would land you in 6th position in pirlo's year.
Lazio ended 5th last year with 63 points,a whooping 13 points less. In analyses its often overlooked pinning pirlo he barely made the top 4,while in reality as a debutant he faced tougher competition juve had in an entire decade.his season was not great true. But for a debutant with those conditions it was also not as disastrous as many believe it was

Juve died with the signing of Ronaldo, not because of his performances on the pitch, but because juve probably overestimated their financial power when they signed him.
Before ronaldo every signing seemed to work, even the 60 year olds on a free like Khedira and lichtsteiner.
After Ronaldo it seems like nearly every player they sign is a flop.
It’s also not talked about enough how at one point they had cancelo and had to swap him for Danilo.

Tbh Rabiot would have been better in the Premiere league and would have looked like a chad at Spurs imho. Some may disagree but despite his looks he is physically strong and a good carrier of the ball in transitions - just lost on the final ball. Never understood how a team like juve can claim that narrow wins are a "winning mentality" and how they are proud of their DNA being horrible football... that's not a winning mentality thats fighting for dear life for no reason. Defensive football doesn't fly anymore, teams aren't afraid to attack "bigger" teams and try to get a result, the game has much evolved, if juve don't figure that out it doesn’t look to good. No player comes to a game and thinks to himself "oh boy, can't wait to win 1:0 against this relegation battling team and sit back all game after 10 minutes of scoring the first goal..." props to the fans who come to the stadium to watch that. You see teams like Bayern, Barca, Real, City, winning games easily by 3-0, 4-0,5-0 and than you start watching your team scrape by, meanwhile you claim you're the biggest club in the country...

If I could I would sack him straight away, he is a midtable manager at best. I know that sacking him would damage the finances of the club, but remember that not making the champions league next season would hurt too.

It almost two season clueless again under allegri.
    Our transfer almost everytime disappointed.
Our squad lacking full back for years, our squad lack depths, our midfield lack technical abilities, our winger also very weak.
Even worst allegri dont even know what position he want to play, with player he have for almost two season.
Atleast pirlo know way he want to play with player they have.

In all seriousness though, Juve should not have sacked Pirlo. Yes it took him a while to get going but toward the end of his time there the team had clearly started to play very well.
In Allegri's defense though, his teams do tend to start slow and improve over the season (last seaon was similar too). So will they get better under Allegri? I think undoubtedly the answer is 'yes'. However, they would probably improve even more under a more modern manager.

Paratici allegri and agnelli are equally to blame.
Signings were made without a clear philosophy in mind.
Last season we had the following box to box midfielders- rabiot ramsay mckennie locatelli bentancur zakaria on high salaries.
A defence that who has cuadrado bremer and pellegrini who can play a high line but de sciglio alex sandro rugani and bonucci who cannot.
Three goalkeepers in perin sczcecny and pinsoglio who are awful at playing with their feet.
We only have one adept central forward in vlahovic and wingers who play counter attacking football.
Instead of signing ronaldo vlahovic and chiesa we could have used that money to totally revamp the team whilst also hiring an elite manager with a clear strategy cough cough antonio conte.

Juventus fan here since decades. During Allegri 1.0 his ability to take Conte's XI / Roster and make it his own with little changes (during his first season) and win the double + reach CL final, was a magnificent achievement. Going on to win 3 more back to back double + reach one more CL final, was also impressive in high-sight.
But the squad has moved on and changed since then. So has football, as you said in the video. Allegri is very stubborn and has his own ultra-conservative-footballing philosophy: To win the game, with minimal forward moving effort. Have a quality striker, pass him the ball at the right moment, but don't make yourself too tired when doing so. Score it. Ok great, now let's defend and complete this game in the lead, till 90 minutes. Don't get too tired, and don't make mistakes. Just shutdown your opponent. Don't try to score more. You will risk fatigue + injury, I need you to play for the next match.
This is Allegri 2.0 in a nutshell. And it's horrible. Again I don't hate the guy, but I'm tired of watching this constant shitshow of a performance.
As I write this, Allegri has briefly turned things around after the Torino, Verona, Lazio wins. I'll re-visit my comment after the World Cup, and the league resumes. I feel Juventus will "breifly" continue their good spell, but it will go back to shit soon. His approach and philosophy is not sustainable in modern football, and attack-oriented and high pressing teams will bring him back down to earth. I'm a defensive minded player myself, and I will admit: Catenaccio / Defense in modern football is the losing battle. You must have a complete squad with solid foundations in all areas GK-Defense-Mid-Attack. The arena is extremely competitive- whether in Italy, Premier League, La Liga or CL ...even in this World Cup.

Juve were forced to choose Pirlo and Allegri, in my opinion the choice fell not because they wanted to make a project with Allegri but because Allegri already knew the Juventus culture they didn't want to take the risk of bringing in a coach who didn't know the Juventus culture. I'm pretty sure they're waiting for guardianola, it's very clear that a lot of top coaches are out but Juventus are not interested in them. Well its because of poor strategy... They didn't sign players according to manager. They signed players according to hype. Arthur, Danilo, di maria, kostic all are out of order signings. Di maria and Kostic would thrive in a counter attacking team not in a defensive team. Yet they signed them without any vision. On the other hand, Ronaldo project failed as well because he wasn't part of their philosophy. He was carrying this team as well as ruining it. Also, don't you think clubs have become impatient in the second decade of this century. Sacking managers has become a trend. If pirlo was given time he would have made a great team, just like how arteta, klopp, mourinho did. So much for juve being in European super team, now they can't even beat monza...

Allegri does deserve some of the blame you can point to the squad selection or the predisposition towards picking certain players who maybe underperforming. In term of my opinion juventus transfer strategy over the last 3 years has been apocalyptic they have allowed the squad to age and being unable to replace key players who have become ineffective due to their age. it nothing new to juventus either the last decade they always managed to replace key players with quality the standard still remained high. in addition the squad really isn't that great it is just names mostly look past the perception you have a defence which is drastic need of two young dynamic fullbacks you have rugani and bonucci who seem to have lost all the fight in them than you get to the midfield honestly i will not get why zakaria was barely tried before being shipped out and to replace him they get paredes a player who is past his peak. they completely lack creativity as well no one seems capable of supplying the strikers with a decent pass. attack as well for a team which is supposed to utilise wingers you have chiesa out with a long term injury, di maria who is heading in the final years of his career and kostic who actually has been surprisingly decent. Still being that the season has a two month break in less than a month you never know they recover some players they work on new tactics they might be able to improve.

We trained all pre-season to play 4-3-3. Cuadrado is no Di Maria. Di Maria is a must to have a playmaker. Miretti is no Pogba. Pogba is a must to have a goal-threatening midfield. Kostic is no Chiesa. Chiesa is a must to have dangerous quick counter attacks.
The conclusion is that Juventus reserves cannot replace our most important players, as they do not have similar attributes and strengths.

    • @YeFansMalaysia
      @YeFansMalaysia Před rokem +1

We dont have player to play 4 3 3.
Yes we dont have squad depth, kostic and bremer is 3 5 2 player.
Cuadrado is aging and right back at best just like later valencia at united or jesus navas now. We should not consider them winger anymore.
Danilo, i respect his passion, but he is not right back or even centre back, squad player at best.
Alex sandro not at his best since 2019, we dont have proper backup, as we rely on allegri favorite son at left back.
Miretti have potential, but why let rovella go? Where is fagioli and soule.. both need more minute.
Paredes is decent signing for true regista.
Rabiot also like danilo, not very good in 3 man midfield and also in 2 midfield setup.
Mckennie is vidal wannabe, locatelli is underused, pogba is still injured.
Chiesa is pacey player but he still lacked in term of build up play (he is good for counter attack), di maria is old and cannot play every game at winger, maybe we could use him as attacking midfield.
Milik is decent, but why we skip depay?
Kean dont have proper minute and trust.
Bentacur, romero, kulusevski could add more for us, but sold for cheap.
Overall our squad is weak, but allegri must have his hand on the transfer decision, on which player he want and he didnt want.
Yet his loyalty toward alex sandro, de sciglio, cuadrado, szczesny (could have donnaruma for free) is crazy.

Our squad is good if all of them are available. If not then it's okey if the injuries aren't on our key players like Di Maria, Chiesa, Pogba because these player don't have proper replacement in our squad.
If Vlahovic is injured then we have Milik.
If Bremer is gone then we have Gatti, a bit less quality but alright.
One of Danilo or Sandro then we have De Scilgio, less quality but we still can play our game.
Pogba, Di Maria, Chiesa and I would also say Paredes bc he don't have a proper replacement either. These players are a MUST to have available.
