#TheNorthman - Krátké a kreslené filmy
“You’re strength breaks men’s bones.
I have the cunning to break their minds.”
That’s such a cool line.
I'm sure you will get a tattoo of it now lol
*Your

Already know😅
Yeah I know Germanic religion, and witches/priestess could cast curses to break minds. I think It's referring to her becoming that
A Northman playing a Northman for once.
@@jilliestorm9079 typical white women crying about random nothingness
Just when you thought Alexander Skarsgard couldn’t get anymore JACKED. This looks dope.
He has been feasting on the blood and entrails of his enemies.

The Vortex - O’Malley’s Madness by Church Militant.
This looks incredible! That's one hell of a cast too.
I agree

The Vortex - O’Malley’s Madness by Church Militant.
Already know😎
Robert Eggers is becoming one of my favourites from this generation. His portfolio is solid Just like Denis Villeneuve's.
Yeah it’s awesome having dudes like this right now making these kinds of films. Non stop killing it
What else has he made
@@coldstasis8534 The witch (VVitch) and Light House. Check them out
Yeah could be the new Francis Ford Coppola
Dear gods, finally a viking movie with good characterization with warriors in chain mail, helmets and costumes of the time, looking forward to seeing this!
Finally something about vikings that doesn't look like it's going to turn into a soap opera.
Ikr😁
Yeah and it's quite accurate..this was this was a bit before the Viking age. Super excited.
@@b.tiwari1121 And the Valkyrie shown has notches in her teeth too! Something early Vikings were known to do, even put pigment in them.
@@Oshidorinohina not really lol
@@michaelrodger human remains say otherwise
Didn't expect an action film from this director after the immensely mesmerizing The VVitch and Lighthouse. I'm eagerly looking forward to be surprised.
I think calling this an action film won't be entirely accurate when we actually get to see it. There will be action, sure, but I have a feeling it's going to be surreal, odd, and captivating in the same way a film like Drive was. Something different.
It's good though, if directors do similar stuff too much at the beginning of their careers they can get type-cast. After two horror films, i think it will hopefully show more range.
It’ll probably be like The Revenant. Great action sequences, but mostly focus on the drama/thriller aspects, and cinematography/characters.
Probably more adventure than action.
With Willem Defoe -
'' You know I'm something of a viking myself "
From Eric Northman to The Northman… full circle, lol! Looks good, excited to see it!
Robert Eggers are one of the filmmakers we need in mainstream cinema.
It’s so surreal to see Björk’s name in a movie trailer. I know she’ll only be in it for 5 seconds but we get our Björk fix where we can.
Have you seen The Juniper Tree?
@@benjaminforrest4511 or Dancer in the Dark.
She is in the trailer too. She is the seer that you see. She may only be in one or too scenes but i am imagine they would be great ones with her being the witch
Or Drawing Restraint 9
Oh okay👀
This gives me chills. Can’t wait
nice profile pic
@@Tambyyyyyy AYE!!!!!!! How you doin
Just when remakes and other cash grabs were starting to diminish creativity in modern cinema, directors like Ari Aster, Jordan Peele, Julia Ducournau and especially Robert Eggers said no. The Northman puts an exclamation point on that! CANNOT WAIT FOR APRIL.
Jordan Peele is an overrated director.
@@JoshuaCodes how?
It's the Lion King lol
This. Looks. Amazing
It's just classic hamlet but Vikings.
Been waiting for this for a while. Eggers is a genius
funny how willem defoe is now just in EVERYTHING lol. Not complaining tho
You know I am something of Viking myself
@@Nobodysurvivesevenonebit LMAO
He’s always been amazing In everything he’s been in.
His always been in everything, maybe you’re noticing him cause of spider man. But his always in like 2 to 3 films a year
Not exactly. Last time I remember seeing him was in Aquaman 2018. And before that in John Wick 2014.
This looks like it will be Eggers' most mainstream film.
But with the cinematography the still evokes the sense of atmosphere he delivered on The Witch (a film I admit isn't for me but I understand why it was well rated). It's going to be interesting how he handles the story of revenge here though, if the balance will be met between still managing to engage a broader audience but with added elements that doesn't make it just a generic period flick
Still looks very far from mainstream.
@@Bayard1503 Agreed, I think this film is going to surprise a lot of people that just think it's an action film.
Yeah, it even looks a bit like a remake of Conan the Barbarian. Even so, I'm very eager to see this director's version of a "mainstream film."
Mainstream would've had black Vikings and a trans Odin
Instead of another Hamlet interpretation going further back right to the source which inspired Shakespeare himself, i‘m all on board with that.
For Odin!!! This looks amazing! The photography, the direction, the cast and the historic recreation... MY GOD!!! I will go to see this.
I feel some Vinland Saga vibes, i don't wanna lie🤣.
Same vibes I was feeling, this is gonna be an experience
This gives me Vinland saga vibes. Looks really good!
Was thinking the exact same thing, lol.
I say it's more like the Last Kingdom.
@@Connor.SG-1Ring nah, last kingdom is bad. I prefer vinland saga AND THIS.
@@faisal5367 Doesn't matter whether or not it's bad, the point is that it shares more in common with this movie than with Vinland Saga.
It's main similarities to the Last Kingdom, is that the protagonist is focused on avenging his father, killing his uncle, and reclaiming his birthright.
@@Connor.SG-1Ring Nyehhh
Interesting how he also played a character named Eric Northman on Trueblood who is a Viking turned into a Vampire who's family is murdered and eventually gets revenge.
I’ll watch anything Eggers directs, especially with a cast like this.
The Eric Northmen prequel i needed
Shame, it isn't though... I was hoping for a moment, when saw the title and that Alexander Skarsgard plays the main character.
this looks amazing... the background music gave me chills.
This is literally the best Viking movie out there, ever.
I love how he keeps repeating his mission 🥰
The cast alone had me, This could of been a movie about a Cupcake War and I would have still been in.
COULD OF?
this movie looks good. but lets not kid ourselves that cupcake movie would be even better
O Tell Me MOARE OF DIS CUpCAKe WARR
Now i want to see what Eggers would do with that premise. Willem Dafoe as the insulted baker, of course.
I say we're over due for an epic Viking movie, this looks incredible.
superb cinematography , acting and plot , truly an insight to how vikings lived , loved , fought and die
This is the inspiration behind William Shakespeare’s classic play Hamlet!!
I'm getting Conan the barbarian vibes and I can't wait to watch it! I trust in Eggers he makes great cinema.
Came to say the same!
Honestly it looks like a cross of Conan and Hamlet
Conan was all I could think of. This looks like a direct homage to it.
Eggers' films and Aster's films have some sort of mystical power through which audiences cannot help themselves but to be attracted
dident aster steal eggers style
THAT SPEAR CATCH THO.
Robert Eggers and the word "The"
Name a more iconic duo.
Studio: so we dont have the copyrights for Conan....
Director: ill do it myself
That Valkyrie looks epic!
4th time rewatching this trailer. It’s perfect.
Finally a movie I cannot predict! Love the cast!!!!
the only movie trailer i've seen in years worth watching! definitely gonna see this in April
Looks so cool. I love the 3rd person video game look to certain parts with the camera behind them creeping up on an enemy
This cast is perfect. I will definitely be watching!
By far my most anticipated movie of recent years!
Finally something worth my time! I am looking forward to this.
Been looking forward to this for a long time!
That spear catch was epic. Gassed for this one
The whole aesthetic and the scale, wish it was a series
The Northman is back. ❤️
Have not been this exited for a movie in a while.
Was a great watch thanks for showing the entire movie
Looks like a friggin insane movie! I’m so pumped for it.
Gustaf skarsgard: our show vikings will be the best, most accurate viking property ever”
Alexander Skarsgard: Hold my Mead bro
this film is the candidate to get an oscar
That cinematography alone 🤯
Harto de la nostalgia, necesitamos frescura en el cine, esto se ve SALVAJEMENTE INCREIBLE
Pero si es Conan vikingo esto.
I'm calling it now. Our Hero discovers "kidnapped" Mother was gettin piped down by Father's killer, Fjolnir, the whole time, running off w/ him after settin up Father's murder, leaving her young traumatized son an orphan.
visual style of this looks dope
Amazing movie on it's own right, beautiful shots and a great story, highly recommended!!!
"How the little piglets would grunt if they knew how the old boar suffered"
Damn not going to lie this looks fantastic!
Don't get me wrong, this looks incredible. The braces, however, have me confused.
right?!
Lol, the mother is IN on it. The end 🤣
What a cast
It reminds me of the freshness of the early Vikings seasons, I like this.
Eric Northman is finally The Northman!!! If Alexander ♥️ is on it, I don’t care what it is about! It could be about how to watch paint dry and I would still watch it!
what a cool looking film and the cast is amazing
Loved the witch and the lighthouse is one greatest movies I've ever seen. Can't wait for this.
Robert Eggers is about to become one of the best directors working today.
anything w/ Alexander is great!
This looks brilliant and viscerally beautiful!
This looks amazing, I can't wait!
I can't stop these goosebumps
this looks incredible. hopefully the first of many bigger budget films for eggers.
I love Anya working with Eggers again now that she’s so famous, very hollywood narrative.
Amazing!!
I knew I saw bjork in there! Hell yeah
Goosebumps man! goosebumbs!
I will definitely have to see this movie! It looks amazing!
Looks incredible. So not what i thought it was going to be though; because it has Alexander Skarsgard and is called the Northman, thought it was a origin story for his character in True Blood.
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽😂
I've been waiting for this since its announcement. Yup.
Been a while since I been impressed on a trailer. Film looks good.
I'm honestly psyched because not only is Eggers the director BUT, I can also understand the dialogue. I'm definitely not criticizing him over it, it certainly adds to the films he makes, but this will be a nice change of pace. Definitely seeing this in the theater..
I'm not sure what was so hard to understand, but it's weird you're hyped for a movie from a director who's only made movies you didn't understand 🤣
@@CerpinTxt87 You're not gonna convince you could understand everything they were talking about in the lighthouse. The witch is a little easier but there's still some old English type words in there that made it difficult for me to understand what they were talking about. This film looks as if the dialogue is pretty straightforward and not overtly unique.
Love this movie ❤. Just wonderful masterpiece 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🎬.
Looks amazing
Lmao bjork is in this movie just being bjork
He timed that spear catch and throw to a T 👏👏👏
Looking forward to seeing this masterpiece
Oh hell yeah! I'm definitely going to go see this!
After The Witch and The Lighthouse, Eggers has earned my trust
looks really cool 🙌🏼🙌🏼
not a cellphone in sight, just people living in the moment
This looks so raw, I love it!
I got goosebumps!!! I'm in!!!
I watched/read Vinland Saga. Now I need to watch Vikings and The Last Kingdom. And now the Northman? Aooh!
Eric Northman playing as The Northman
That looks sick! Def will watch!
Yessssss..... this looks so good... I will never *NOT* be a sucker for a good revenge tale....
This looks savage I definitely want to go see it.
Looks awesome 🤩
William Dafoe and Anya Taylor Joy was all it took! Now I'll go see.
