Excellent! I have a pm6005 with low vol on left channel. Speakers and headphones alike, source direct all the same. A gent tap on the volume knob and both channels equal. Now I am 99% sure the potentiometer is indeed the culprit. Many thanks!

It seems that part is very poor quality straight from the factory. I have lower volume on the right channel rather from thr left. The center image is always moved to the left. Measured the two gangs and there is about 3-4k difference in resistance no mather of the position. I ordered brand new pot from Sound United and it came exactly the same.... diferent values for both resistors. The total resistance is 53k vs 47k but it must be euqal. Verry disappointed that I can not fix my amp with genuine parts. Now I will need to put a trimmer on that 56k R5004 and R5003 in order to adjust the gain and balance both channels.
