I cried so many nights from being so frustrated with potty training. I have a 3 year old son who doesn't mind sitting on poop all day and screams bloody murder when I put him on the potty. Just hard when I want him to start school but he cant because he has to many accidents. Hope this advice works! Thanks Mommas!
I'm potty training a 3 year old too 😭 I hate how consistent you have to be lol going every 30 mins.
Keep a potty chair in your car so your kid can go in the car before you enter the store, or so you can run out there. It's cleaner and you can dump the pee OR use grocery bags as liners to catch the potty. I have other kids so it's MUCH easier to have my kid go in the car than in a public restroom where you have to haul everyone.
Thanks for the tip!
Never thought of this. Great tip
Although this sounds good, it associates going to the bathroom with the car and might make it harder to get them to go in the bathroom. I started getting my son familiar with the potty in the bedroom because our bathroom is tiny and he would do great. He would pee (but it almost always hit the floor) and he would poop. Fast forward a few months to the bathroom and he needs warm water squirted on him to go pee and refuses to poop because there's new stuff to look at and touch and play with. It might be easier in the short run but harder in the long run. Just stick to the bathroom if you can. The car and a bush are for emergencies only.
Thank you for this video!!! I felt lost on how to start potty training my boy!
You guys need to talk about potty training at night.
andreacrd23 We’ll do that!
From what I’ve read it’s hormonal and not something you can teach 👍🏻
Yes that will be good please.
That's what I was wondering. What about when they're sleeping
Yes I was gonna say that
I need to start next week this was great timing to see this thank you!
"shit on the slide"
Thank you for sharing some real, honest #MumLife!!!
This is a great video! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this video. My son is 1 year in 15 days and I wasn’t sure when he was supposed to start... I got him a portable travel potty and I sit him there at the times I know he’s either about to poo or pee. And whenever I have to go I take him with me for him to see what the toilet is for pretty much. He peed once and hasn’t ever since but now I’m taking my time as I now realize that he might not be ready yet...
I love these videos! They help me a lot!
I am currently potty training. I had my son naked from the waste down on the first morning. And I had him going every 2 hours. I think that was way too much time. I now prompt him every 30 minutes, and if he absolutely fights me on it, I won’t push him. I don’t want to stress him or myself out. We do have him in underwear now. We have most success in the morning, right when he wakes up, but he’s giving a little push back, like he’s tired of my asking him to sit on the potty, so I have backed way up (if you don’t think their ready, just give yourselves a break). I even put him in pull ups once and a while to give him a break, so he can sit on the couch and cuddle with me, and to relieve my own stress of cleaning up 100 messes a day (I’m pregnant). We are being very casual about it. I still prompt him, and reward him if he goes in the potty, but I’m not forcing him to go if he refuses to sit down, I’m not forcing him to stay in a uncarpeted area. If he has boxers on, I’ll even put a puppy pee pad on the couch (it took a second to get used to that). And regarding night, I have him go before bed, and he sleeps in a pull up. I use pull-ups because they are much easier to pull up and down, and give him practice, for when he is actually ready. But good luck mamas. It’s definitely hard work.
How did it end up working out?? I could have written this. Potty training my 18 month old and I am so confused because I feel like I am making his scared of the potty. Thinking about scaling wayyyy back. Keeping undies on him at home and prompting every now and then to go to the potty and pull ups for everything else. I’m 6 months pregnant and really hoping to have a good foundation down by the time baby #2 comes.
@@camyemounts2945 it’s hard to say, my son has had a lot of regression issues since his baby brother came around. So I can say that he has gotta the potty thing down, but my new issue is, he refuses to go, usually only when he is distracted with play, tv, or his tablet. Otherwise, he knows exactly what to do, when to go, how to flush and wash his hands. He’s a pro, it’s just a matter of getting him to want to do it. He’s ganna be 4 in December 😬 he does really well at school though. The progress is up and down, but it’s more of a control issue, and how he’s coping with being a middle child
I love this video so much thank you
So so happy for this video! All these beautiful, classy ladies saying freeballin😂
At least twice I went WHAAT?! THIS WAS INFORMATIVE
Thanks for the advise, I am starting to potty train my 3 year son, I think all you tips will be alot of help.
Love the honesty in this video. :)
Thank you so much for this video! Tons of videos on potty training girls but not much on boys.

Thank you so much for this video!!!
In the 3 days method… how do I do at night? Should I put diaper when he sleeps?
What about potty training a two year old boy that is not yet speaking?
Yes please comment on this
I have spent months studying ways to potty train and found a fantastic resource at Sues Trainer Tactics (check it out on google)

Were your boys still sleeping in cribs when you potty trained them? My 2 year old wakes up in the morning and after his nap with a wet diaper. I’m not sure how I could potty train him without diapers or pull ups at night or while he’s sleeping in a crib. Any advice? Thank you!!
Love this channel so bad.
Poopooing in the potty has been hardest for our kids so each kid gets one special gift when they go on their own in the potty. Potty training my girl is the same as my boys but earlier. Both my middle kids wanted to go potty before they understood how to purposely void themselves, which was frustrating.
Can you elaborate on the 3 day training ??
i kept my daughter in nappies just kept asking her if she needed to go then after a couple of days I took the nappy of then after couple more days we put kickers on and now she is trained she just goes and sits on the potty or she will say I need the loo and now we are doing night's she never has wet nappies at night usually so hopeing she still stays dry
I think that yall miss out on thee most important part, which is to know your child's personality. My son is 3 years old in a week and the only success Ive had is due to his own willpower.
Sarah Pedro my son will be three this April and it’s becoming quite difficult as the daycare doesn’t seem to be following through with it either . A year ago he was going potty pretty good and then just boom, stopped?! I think it was due to visits with his bio father. Which he no longer has as I am going for sole custody, as he is sitting back in jail, but anyways I believe those visits really deterred him from the whole potty training thing and he quit. Now he just doesn’t seem to want to as a busy little man he is ..... 😩 🙏
My daughter literally self trained herself at 28 months and was 100% trained by 2.5; and her brother has just turned 3 and is just starting a very difficult, inconsistent journey with potty training. Night and day difference. This is truly the hardest thing ever. One week in tomorrow with our son.
Does this include night time as well ?? Or do they still wear dipers at night ??
If you do the 3 day potty training or "No more diapers"/ cold turkey, be ready for lots of clean ups. Have a bunch of towels, be prepared to be cleaning your floor repeatedly, try to keep them in a no carpet area, have activities to keep them occupied so they don't get frustrated being stuck in one area and just accept in your own mind that it is going to take time, days at least, until you're not cleaning up the messes over and over. That was the hardest part for me, understanding that going on the floor was slowly helping them to get what was going on. But it can take days. If you're not ready to take them out and clean up their messes, don't! Wait until they're getting it because you can't force it, every child is different and you don't need to add stress to yourself while doing this. It is going to be tough and stressful, but once it's done, it's so relieving! (... pun intended, yes 😁)
My 3 year old was training at 20 months old, we got him to sit on the training potty, and on our toilet. We had to spend the weekend at my in laws and when he had to go their toilet was higher and the bathroom was more closed in space and he ended up freaking out. Ever since then my son has a MELT DOWN when we try to bring him back on the toilets. Even even have him put him in underwear and free balling and each time he cries he peed or pooped in his undies. Now its were he asked for his pullups instead. We've even tried the reward system where he got a sticker on a poster of his favorite characters, or if he peed in his toilet he could go to a park or a special place to play (non of it has worked) a friend even told us to let him walk in his swimmers for a day and let him feel it that way...nothing.
It's getting so stressful because our in laws and other family members are pressuring us to have trained on the potty but now he just has a melt down tantrum to where his face is red and hes screaming his head off. We take him off it and even waited a week and tried it again. My son just WILL NOT want to try going back on the potty at all....
And I'm really at a loss for what I should do next. 😱😭
I'm not a mom but my sister has a son and she's dealing with potty training! I think you should just stop forcing him and let him think he doesn't force to pee on the potty for a while so he can calm down and be stressfree and then you put the training potty at some place that the toilet is not there so he doesn't freak out every time he sees it, then slowly put the potty on the bathroom after he start using it again and use the toilet in front of him so he know it's not a bad thing. or you can have other kids who have been potty trained come over and use the potty so he can see other kids using it! bc you know monkey sees, monkey do it or sth like that :)) good luck!
P.S: I think this is the right way bc I was in 2 car accidents when i was in elementary school and both of them happend when i was trying to cross the street and bc of that I was terrified to cross the street as F*** for years and every time my family try to force me to do it I have a reaction like your son to the toilet! you need to make him feel safe bc when you're stressed out you can't think straight! My family thought me to cross the street with other people when they're not there with me! I have to stand there for sometime until somebody wants to pass the street and I passed alongside of them! it was really hard on me but I finally overcome my fear! your son can do it easier bc he's much younger than old me! you just have to make him feel safe!
If you're planning on doing the 3 day method I'm wondering what you do during the night, since you can't be asking/prompting them to go to the potty every 20 minutes?
This is so lit and helpful. I love that yall curse lmaooo
I'm in the mists of repotty training my son we started back when my son was roughly 17months by 19months he was doing fantastic.... Then he regressed (not sure if I pushed too hard or what) and now he's 22months and he's been showing signs of wanting to go but it's like he doesn't want to sit to go... How do you go about teaching them to stand to pee and how do you get the hubs to help lol Also how do you keep yourself from becomeing frustrated and getting angry at the accidents?
No diapers/pull ups!! Love this!!
Im doing it to my son, I’m struggling at first now he can go bathroom sometimes his own but sometimes he poop on his pants 😫
I’ve just potty trained my son this week. He’ll be 3 in May. Most of his friends are the same age and not trained yet, so didn’t feel a rush at all. I tried for half a day in August and it was so obvious he wasn’t ready. This time around, zero accidents by day 3, out and about to the park and friends’ houses etc, and his night diaper (usually super full) has been dry the past few days 👍🏻
Nice job! I've heard you can tell if they're not interested and then you should wait.
How do you transition from home to daycare?
I was wondering that myself...See, we have been working on this since our son has been 2 so for a year now, but he's still not potty trained. I'm getting really frustrated because my daycare is literally not helping at all; when I expressly told them we were working on it at home & wanted them to at least try getting him on the potty once or twice while he's at daycare all day. I'm so frustrated because he's 3 years old now, supposed to be starting pre k next year, & I just feel like this is going NO WHERE!
How do you the 3 day method if they go to daycare
What do you guys do to prevent wetting the bed during nap times and night time bed time?
I think the only way is waking them up , they have to get used to waking up when they want to pee, don't let them sleep through out the whole nap , wake him up take him the bathroom and encourage them to go back to sleep after( js my opinion)
so with these “3day method” are you slapping on a diaper to go sleep at night? or are you still waking them up throughout the night every 20-30mins during the “3days”???
I did the 3 day thing but it took almost 5 days...He free balled until nap and bed then he wore a pull up but was always dry when he got up and we go immediately when he got up and back to naked.
Thank you very beautiful ladies
What about toilet trading a 3.5 Yr old. Tried many times and he just wee's and poo in his underwear and doesn't tell me. He goes to daycare full time. I've tried the stickers and any bribery for going on toilet. If I take him every hour then he is OK (on weekends) , but even sometimes he gets off toilet then 5 min later does it in underwear. This is 3rd attempt. We were following what daycare told us and used pull ups, then just wear underwear and they say they take him every 45 min... But he has good days and bad days. Been like this for few months. Should I start from beginning again?
It was helpful but I have one question. We are good for pee he tells me every time he has to go pee we are struggling with pooping on the potty. Any tips?!
Thanks for the tips! my son just turned 3 and Im going to try the 3 day method and no pull-ups except for bedtime!
Good luck! Let us know how it goes.
Susan Yara thanks I will! I’m starting tomorrow morning 🤞🏻
MelissaLove How did it go?
I only used pull ups for nap and bed...the rest of the time free ball lol
I need to definitely try that 3 day method my son is 3 1/2 and he absolutely has no interest in potty training. He could sit on the potty for almost 1 hour and nothing happens 🥴😓🤣
This was so helpful! Thank you so much! Starting this Friday! AAAAGH!
Girls and a boy. Never ever ever pull ups, they are just bigger diapers for bigger poo. You just take about a week and you set a timer. Mine were 1 and 1/2 and my boy was 1, he trained himself bc he hated being wet.
Baepsae Timer is a great idea!
Every kid is different. My oldest can go 6 hours and hold it, my second has to go every hour.
I have a 4 year old boy with autisim and I haven’t been able to get him potty trained. The no undis sounds like it my be a good option to try out with him .
I have a 4 year old that was potty trained...now having 💩 accidents...any ideas for how to get him to use the potty, instead of going in his pants?
My son will be two in September how do I potty training
There are many components to ways to potty train. One place I discovered which succeeds in merging these is the Sues Trainer Tactics (google it if you're interested) definately the most helpful resource i've heard of.look at all the great information .
Any tips for night training?
What happens during the nigh of the 3 day potty training 🤔
Mines a head ache I can't seem to get the hang of it he is ready I Know he is I just can't get the hang of it I've started blaming myself because I don't know egsactly what to do I've read books watched videos by other mum's on CZcams how did u find what worked best for u as a parent it's a mega cry for help
Ok so if someone has tips for getting my son to go number 2 I would really love some advise..... i have tried everything and he refuses to go number 2 in the toilet.... I even did the whole pull up thing and I had to stop pullups cuz he figured they were just like Pampers he would just go in the pull up so I have to do underwear he does great with going peeing but #2 is just a no go and I don't know what to do anymore
Omg yes my son is 3 and he would pee in potty when he is free balling it. But when it comes to pull ups he would go in there. But for pooping, I think he scared to poop I even bought potty chair for him so I need Tips bad too!
I have two boys the 1st was good with potty training but my second one is hard he like to touch his poppy and im trying to get him to do it on the potty
This video came at a perfect time. First of all, I’m potty training my two-year-old. For some reason he was starting to take out his Poopoo from his diaper. After a week of him doing this... I had enough. I decided on the three day method. All went well, the third day seemed to be the easiest. ... absolutely no accidents and I kept prompting him to go to the restroom.
Now this is where my story turns. If I am home and prompting him if you wants to go to the bathroom he will go gladly. But when it comes to his Pooh Pooh. If I don’t catch him trying to hide he will go on about his business and still play with his poop!!!! For example this morning I took him to go Peepee.. not even 10 minutes later I caught him in a corner with this SHIT MESS.. i’m about to lose my mind.
HELP? Is this only my kid???
Sincerely
Mom covered in shit.
Is he in diapers, underwear or free style? If he is underwear go freestyle , time it after he eats and when he does poop in the toilet make a huge a** deal about it. Don't say bye to the poop unless he is anxious when it flushes then start calling it tummy trash.
I’m so sorry! I don’t have advice since I’m not there yet, but join our FAM Facebook group. There are a ton of moms in there that can share tips!
Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else trying to find out
tips on potty training
try Nadazma Potty Plan Helper (just google it ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my colleague got amazing results with it.
Sadly my son does the same thing with his 💩, he hates anyone around him when he does number two so he finds a corner in the house to hide and poop....the worst part is when his done, he will bring a handful to announce he is done. We working on it
thank you for posting this it made me laugh hope it all goes well. My child is still 9 months but we've had our fair share of poopsplosions! You are not alone!
YES!! About the pull ups!!! They feel just like diaper!!! I put my son in underwear from the start. We've tried to potty train him since he was 2 and had him doing it sitting down. But now he's 3.5 and we found standing him up and peeing was more comfortable for him. He likes to see his progress I guess lol but he has yet to poop in the potty.
Alexandria I have a boy and I taught him sitting down to pee. He had just turned 2 and showed interest and signs of readiness. My thought was that it was confusing to stand to pee and sit down for the other. Once he was potty trained, we introduced him to standing for pee and it was like he learned a new trick lol. I truly think that’s why it can take longer for boys- it’s confusing for a toddler to differentiate.
I'm having this same issue my 3 year old will go pee in the potty but not poo in it he absolutely refuses.
I have a Ryker too! Am I the only one not trying to rush my kid though? He's 3 and just now starting to show that he's ready, so we're just introducing the potty. Would love advice for a working mom who can't stay home for 3 days and does not want to train under pressure.
jenny'sbabyvlogs By 3, they’re 100% capable of being done with training over a regular two day weekend. Stop using diapers and show him where pee and poop goes anytime he has an accident. He’ll get it by the end of the first day because having to clean up messes isn’t fun. By the second day he’ll be going on his own. :)
My son is having to go through treatment for cancer. He was diagnosed at 18 months and there was no time for potty training. Even now hes almost 3...in 4 months and we are coming to the end of his treatment and hospital stays so we will begin once he is done and off treatment. Everything isn't as easy as others think. It's better they wait longer and get it right than to try and rush early and have them not be ready. Yes diapers are expensive and irritating to change, but potty training should be a happy experience too.
We welcomed a new baby into the family & now my son won't use the potty, I've tried underwear only didn't work, just about to try anything hopefully this works
Oh! I need to try this 3 day training. My son is 2.5. 🤔😬
muhlissuh82 Mine too!
my three girls were very easy 2-3 days we were done.my little boy is 2 he hates the diaper but hates the toilet even more
my son is 3 and half year old, he is very stubborn to go toilet, every method im trying to teach him he still dont like to pee in toilet.i dont know what to do😔
What about night time pottying? How often?
How to tell if he ready to potty training what is the good age
Can anyone offer me any tips. My son will be 3 in October and i have been trying for months off and on to potty train my son. He is to a point now where he can tell me when he has used the bathroom in his diaper but still will not go to the toilet. If i put him on the toilet he cries and cries and cries until you take him off of it and he will not use it at all. Its like he holds it until he gets off of it. I let him free ball it while at home and will go but just not on the toilet and it is so frustrating. The doctor says dont force him (which i dont) or he will not go he will go when he is ready so what should i do because at this point i am out of options.
Anjie S. I’m at the process of potty training my son. I’m doing the 3 day method and right now I’m on my 2nd day but my first day was terrible. He hated the restroom. He would cry hysterical. What I did to ease the crying was staying with him. Read him a book get his mind off of it. It’s gonna take a lot of practicing for him to get over it but today is the 2nd and we have had 2 successes! And I reward him with M&M’s 😊
I have a very stubborn 4 yr old boy who knows how to use the potty but won’t. We’re on week 3 of no diapers and he hasn’t gone on the potty since the first day. He literally doesn’t care if he messes his pants. Idk what to do.
My three year old is the same 😭 its so hard. We have tried every trick we have came across. Bottom line is he just doesn’t want to.
Brianna Patterson we’ve recently had success. He’s almost 4 1/2 and we went back to pull-ups and setting a timer for 45 minutes after each meal and only giving him drinks during meals. We did that for a month or so and then started taking the timer away and letting him have more drinks over time when he seemed ready. Now he’s in underwear and only has poop accidents
I'm having a hard Time on this. My kid Is almost 3 AND hasnt show signs of going potty. Now, i have 3 / 4 full days available to have him at home to do your technique. AND then he goes back to daycare on wednesday. What happens then? Should i send him with a diaper? Teachers There wont be as patisnt i Guess. Lost! Also im prrgnat nine months about to have 2nd baby. So he has to learn! But don't want to make him feel like forced into it . Oh boy
Girls it so easy to potty train boys. Just put cupple of cheerios to potty, and then say to your kid: "point and shoot" or "aim and shoot" . For them is a fun game, and quickly your child will ultimately get on the potty and do his thing, It's that easy :) :D
Hilarious! I might have to try this!
Xexv
I've heard this works!
Lol ill try that
Maybe if theyre 4 but not if theyre 1.5. My son wouldnt care or understand
I’m struggling with this I NEED HELP
I ruined our potty training by using pull ups. We were doing great with my oldest @17 months (I had a 2 month old at that time) he did GREAT. So me not knowing finished his diapers and went to the pull ups. WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME! I should have put on underwear bc at almost 3 still not potty trained!!! He became lazy and stubborn amd refused to go. I felt like a failure BUT for boy number 2 hes already trying and NO PULL UPS for him. I feel like my baby boy will be trained before my oldest. Thanks for this video!
I have grandson 5 years old tried to potty training him
Did they ever give tips about training at night or did it happen at night? Do they still go commando at night?
I have 3 boys now and 1 girl. My girl was so easy!! I used school to get her to use potty.. The boys were way more challenging.
Im trying to potty train my 15 month old
Diapers at bedtime or naps??
Advice anyone...can you even do the 3-day method when your child is in full time daycare? I feel my child would go through dozens of changes of clothes if I went “out with the diapers!” 😕
Heather Harris A lot of my friends did it for a weekend. Started Friday and went until Sunday. It seems like the last day is the best.

With n2 takes longer. Just have patients. I am training at the moment. I put on underwear when he does in n2 I show him that it goes in toilet go together, let him flush toilet. It might take longer with n2.
And 1 girl lyla
My youngest niece is 3 years old. The only times she wears pull ups when she will be in the car for a long period of time or bedtime.
That makes sense!
What do you do in the car seat?
Hong Hong We use waterproof car seat liners. They’re perfect for those first outings or when your kids fall asleep without backup protection on.

What about at night? A lot of accidents?
Just get the day time down first then work on night time
hey... really helpful... my 11 months old has suddenly stopped to use his potty chair... as he was using it from 7th month...what should i do... he doesn't even want to stand up for pee
plz rply
Starting potty at 16 months. Wish me luck. Son hates the diaper prefers free body
Same for my son at 17 months! So mama's been doing a lot of research on how to tackle this milestone haha.
I got my son the potty that has attached step stool and when he older you can lower the step stool. I place him on it but he is learning how to climb it without falling
My son do pee but he refuse to potty in potty seat
What did you overnight? Did you put a diaper back on, or leave them in undies? Did they pee and poop at night?
Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuyuuuu
I've been keeping nappies on my boy at night, he keeps hiding to pee. I say in the toilet with him on the potty on the toilet mini seat for like half an hour he didn't go we had our devices. Nothing. As soon as he's as outside he peed. The first few days he peed in the potty once and had 2 accidents now it's all just hiding and peeing. On chairs in corners behind beds. Swear to god this is the hardest thing and I feel like my house is being covered on piss
Thats normal mine does the same. Hang in there! One thing I did was every time I go toilet ... he follows of course - cant go pee without a kid following you. So I put him on while I am peeing and he goes then...try it.
No she didnt say the most balls. #that'sepic 💀😭😂😂
I have a 3 year old he dosen't want to poop on the toilet he suffers from hard poop (constipation)
Can anyone help me? How do you show him to actually pee? He sits on the potty but doesn’t pee on it, and then when he gets up he’ll pee in his diaper/underwear. I’ve tried letting him watch me and his daddy but I don’t know if he just doesn’t get it or what. He’ll be two in a month.
Do naked time for a day and when he starts to pee say wait and take him to potty. Let him finish on the potty even if its just a drop. Pay attention to the cues before he peed and keep an eye out for them. He may not pee when you sit him on there. Let him sit for a while sometimes you may step out the bathroom door and see if giving him privacy will help him go.
