I feel so incredibly lucky to be able to find such a gem of a video, but feel so sad to see how underrated it is. This video is incredibly poetic and moving. This is the first video I've seen from you, I'll go and watch the rest of your work now:)

I'll never forget that arrangement of this song by Neil Cicierega made entirely of "Yahoos". That was honestly breathtaking. It's one of the many reasons I love his work. He can breath new life into already top notch songs.

I first heard Clair De Lune when I was around eight years old. I was playing my favorite Roblox game, Monsters Of Etheria. The song played in a certain region of the map every once and a while and ever since then, I’ve had this strange attachment to the song. Every time I hear it, an overwhelming sense of peace and calmness comes over me and I can’t help but stop everything I’m doing and enjoy it.
I know I’m late, but what a wonderful video you’ve created.

@@fortcollinsproductions Your reply made my night!!
I had watched your video, “Me”, earlier and I started looking for a certain older video you had mentioned when you were talking about your favorite and least favorite videos of yours and in the title of this video you said “(And it’s comment section)”, which caught my eye, so I found the Clair De Lune video you were talking about and looked through the comments. It was so intriguing that I thought I’d watch the video. I’m glad I did :)
You’re a really cool person and your work captivates me. I like the mix between video essays and film kinda things (like your “The Repetitive Nightmare of Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared” video).
Keep doing what you enjoy. Your good at it! :)

music is my biggest passion,it's the one thing that i know i can always find solace in no matter one, something i can always find intrest deep down in every note, and something that i will always want to talk about for hour and hours on end, aswell as learn about and listen to other talk about. You have somehow captured all three of those and more in every second of every video and i have nothing but thanks to give because this is something very very special your able to do. Thank you for your time and effort into these vides and hope for more in the future!!

All your content is wonderfull, and clearly carefully crafted. How it hasnt reached out to many more souls is beyond me, I wish to see the day where millions start appreciating the media you make. You explain things in such a way that I could never describe, but if I had to put it into words I would say poetic. Im happy to have found this channel, and hope to be one of the first people to watch the rise of it. Thank you for such beautiful content, and allowing it to be viewed for free.

This reminds me of a similar thing that happened on an hour long video of a donkey Kong country 2 music video. The video title was in Japanese so it was hard to look up but on it the videos comment section had people create checkpoints in which they would describe what was going on in their life. While the original video has been taken down for some time now there are copies that still have the same checkpoint system.

I feel like Claire De Lune makes me feel like a swan, moving gracefully across the water, and like an astronaut, floating through space and experiencing things scientists of the past would dream of. Clair De Lune reunites everything into one piece of art that takes you on a journey every time you hear it.

i think about my beautiful mortality when i listen to claire de lune, i don't think i could get with many other experiences. it was one of the pieces that found me during a very rough time in my adolescence, maybe 8 or so years ago. i would listen to the hour version on repeat.
movement one of rachmaninoff's second piano concerto and the 90s big band recording of Charles Mingus' moanin' hold similar places in my heart. i truly think music can shape people to who they are.
thank you for sharing your insight, i just came from your hawaii 2.0 video and we defo have similar tastes lol definitely subscribing

Thank you so much for sharing! I completely agree, Clair de Lune has one of the strongest emotional connections with me among music. Mingus is also fantastic, I’ve been lucky enough to play a couple of his pieces and they’re always so fun. Thanks again for the support!

ive heard this song many times in my life, but because of this video, i took the time out of my day to truly appreciate it instead of just hearing it. i think that "supernatural" is a pretty good way to describe what this song can make people feel, as you said. it's touching, and magical.
it makes me feel so lucky. so incredibly lucky that i have what i have in my life. so lucky i have someone to propose to, someone to pour my heart out to, someone to spend my life with, someone to make me feel like it's all gonna be ok.
to those who read this, i hope you can feel that in your life, whether now or in the time that is yet to come. i hope that you can feel like everything is okay.
thank you, and be good to each other and to yourselves

    {SPOILERS FOR DANGANRONPA v3}
Danganronpa V3 is one of my favorite games ever, despite its many flaws. The first trial is one of my favorite trials in the entire series and is an emotional rollercoaster, with the main character, Kaede Akamatsu, who we thought we would play as for the rest of the game, being the first blackened and being executed in a twisted way with her screwing a basic piano song. What struck me the most however, was not the moments before she was executed, but the moments after, where the new protagonist, one Shuichi Saihara, going to Kaede's ultimate lab, where he sits close by to the piano and "sees" the ghost of Kaede playing the piano. Clair de Lune plays throughout as Kaede and Shuichi talk. It's one of my favorite experiences in gaming.

for me, the word that comes to mind when seeing those comments, is "sonder"
it's not quite the right word to describe the feeling of the music itself, i dont think there is a word (or words) that could ever capture that. but to read the comments does make me feel both existential and connected to the human experience, realizing that everyone is living their own lives just as complex as your own. all very different and yet all so human

A young man, with too much time on his hands, who needs a bigger shovel. This could really make you learn to hate Eclair de Loonytune, a lovely but over heard piece best saved for viewings. You want to hear a piece to hang your hat on? Google Jan Sibelius conducting his 'Andante Festivo' in 1937 and the story behind the performance. Go. Now. 🐸
