  • Most HDBs are fitted with these type of toilets and once in a while you might get water which persistently leaks into the bowl. That's a sign of wear in the seals and gaskets. you may need to dismantle the toilet to replace these parts, however the task may not need to be a daunting one. Follow these steps!
the valves can be found at most hardware stores for under $30

Hi Mr Blank, do you advise applying silicon for the 'black seal' for the flush valve and the 'black washer' for the fill valve?

I wouldn't recommend it. A toilet bowl is not something that should be scrimped n saved on

@@ThePunggolHandyManI think firstly, it would be helpful if you could show common mistakes and "fixes" for certain basic DIY stuff, for example, i tried to replace my kitchen cabinet door but i found out that the hinges i had and bought didnt fit so i found out to patch the drill hole, i could use toothpicks and glue to patch the hole to redrill...tips and tricks like this could be useful to us new DIY-ers :)

Secondly, being a Handyman yourself, would you have installed anything in your house that you personally found it very helpful in your chores/day-to-day? It could inspire us to try doing more advanced DIY projects

Don't buy 2 pc W/C .Buy a ONE piece W/C with Gerberit flush. Not only is it much cleaner without dirt stuck between the seat and the tank, with one pc W/C. With one pc W/C , maintenance and repair of a Gerberit flush system is so much faster and easier!

Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately most HDBs are installed with a 2 piece system
