Luckily my landlord is super helpful & always gets things done right away. A lot of people I know have shitty landlords. But my landlord literally gave me clothes that his children couldn't wear anymore for my nieces & nephew. Just couldn't ask for a better landlord.
My landlord took 2 weeks to fix the floor in my bathroom & I have no clue wtf he did because nothing was done. He’d be here 8 hours a day in the bathroom. I could have remodeled the whole thing in a day or two by myself but I’m not allowed to do repairs. It’s ridiculous. I’d own my own house if I could afford it.

He compensated me because, he would've had to pay for someone to come fix it anyways so I made his job easier. Luckily he also didn't raise my rent even with inflation because, I have never missed rent in almost 10 years. He raised the price of his other places.
Does he give you a rent decrease for meatriding him on the internet to strangers? Don’t know why you would be doing it otherwise but maybe I can strike that deal with my own.
My favorite was when a new management company bumped our rent up hundreds of dollars to reflect the renovations they were doing on the aparment complex. Before they renovated. They were charging us about 130% so they could afford to kick us out and renovate for someone else. Apparently this company has been known for their shady practices. *cough* Pepper Pike *cough*

I have a "good" landlord where I don't have issues and I don't get inspected on. Property managers on the other hand, eeeesh. Leaking roof for 6 months covered up with a tarp and duct tape, no rent reduction.

I have pinned two previous hardass landlords into doing their actual jobs with this method. You don’t even have to go to court, really. Just start diplomatically get more and more threatening as you assert your rights and you know the consequences of they keep violating them. Threaten legal action if you need too, and honestly at that point if they don’t fold see if you can present the evidence to any tenant unions or attorneys who could help pro bono… cause usually these guys do NOT keep a water tight defense 😂
Good luck when they decide to spy on you and evict you for minor infractions, and have some police in their pocket because they own several hundred units in your town. They can be some of the richest people in your city.
