    The mechanical variety Martin talks about early in this video is why I love sports car racing so much. Some of us gearheads are just as interested in the machinery as in the drivers, if not more so.
    Personally, I don't care who's driving. The car's the star.

    I didn't understand until now why Alpine didn't use Mick in qualy. It is assumed that the fastest driver should drive the car in the qualy

      Whoever does qualifying rarely does first stint also. In fact almost never does this happen.

    So a BMW spins and continues immediately and race control throw a red, then a Toyota spins and just sits near the apex and race control... does nothing. Way to screw over Cadillac etc.

    Hyperpole is literally meh I prefer the old qualifying format from last season also what a ridiculous call from race control to bring out the red flag after the BMW spunout

    New to WEC but super weird to see an exposed floor with all the F1 I watch. I guess it’s not as important

    The biggest mistake on the part of the maFIA is to apply a BOP before the cars have run on a circuit, why don’t they apply it after the FP1 to try to “balance” all the cars in a more logical and fair away ?? The peugeots running with 1.061 kgs it excessive…..

      because of sand-bagging...

    • @Maenfy
      @Maenfy Před měsícem +3

      Well yeah sandbagging. Why would a team try to set good lap times if they would get punished for it? Not showing your cards would be the only way to do well.

      @@Maenfyhopefully that comes to a stop, it's been plaguing endurance racing for a while, way before LMH cars. Over time, I hope the race stewards will have access to more live data from teams than they do currently.

    This pitlane reporter is the worst I have ever seen. Get a veteran. He was terrible in Qatar. He has got to be someone's son within the WEC.
