This video describes the caster extension and retraction system for my mechanic's tool cabinet. Rotating a front mounted lever from 10:00 to 2:00 o'clock extends casters to a locked-down position and jacks the cabinet off the floor. Moving the handle back to 10:00 o'clock retracts the casters and allows the cabinet to sit solidly on its sides and back. Plans include a cut list/materials list, printable instructions with 19 color pics, 3D drawings with dimensions and access to an unlisted 20 minute CZcams video showing construction of the caster system. These are plans for the caster system; plans for the complete tool cabinet and upper tool chest will come later.

I am in the process of buying a shed/barn in which to build my workshop and some storage. The shed will be small, so I will have to make the most of the space within.

I want that handle that you have at the top front of my saw to swing up INTO MY WAY when the wheels are down (table saw LIFTED) so that I 'cannot' use the saw in that state, and will be forced to lower the system (raise the wheels) in order to get that handle out of my way.
it's a cheap mostly-plastic jobsite saw that I'll have to figure out a way to run your handle through the top of the saw's cabinet and not interfere with any of the moving parts inside but I believe it can be done! Thank you very much for the idea!!
