- I just purchased a Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS 9mm pistol. I'll quickly walk you through as I easily install a Trijicon RMR Type 2 Reflex Adjustable LED 3.25 MOA Red Dot Sight and provide a review. I've also upgraded the factory Glock sights to Trijicon suppressor height night sights.

Fine piece of machinery 😊
Great video- good info!!!
Appreciate it!
Very nice! New to your channel
Thanks for checking it out!
Very cool!
Thanks!
High quality video 👍
👌
nothing personal but I thing Trijicon specifically tells not to use the cover screws for the adaptor plate. Other than that great vid.
Are you going o do a video showing how to adjust the sights?
Yes sir, hopefully in the couple weeks!
@@NWIWhitetails How long you figure before this video is age restricted for simply showing people how the sight goes on?
@@NWIWhitetails Piss on them, I'm sharing this.

Hi, is it 1/3 cowitness? Thx
Are the screws provided used to secure the rmr those 4 small ones with the plate packaging?
Yes, 2 screws will fasten the plate to the slide and the remaining screws will fasten down the rmr.
@@NWIWhitetails thank you! The screws provided by Trij were so thick they started separating my plate before even driving in. The shorter screws that came stock with the mos worked just fine, like you said. God bless. Stay armed.
Great to hear! Stay safe brother.
You will need to purchase the Trijicon accessory pack AC32064 in order to install the RMR on your G17gen5 mos. Ask me how I know😉
does it fit better?
@@stevencheng5722 It had the correct size screws.
Rip just tried this for a while thanks for the comment
My gen 5 G19 MOS adapter plate kit did not come with the correct screws for mounting the RMR, weird.
That is weird
Same here. What did you do to fix it?
I have the non mos g17 gen5.
Is there somewhere I can send it to have the slide milled?
Yea, there’s a lot of places doing it now. I know a lot of people use Jager Werks, but you should be able to find a lot of places online.
Same bro, having trouble finding anyone that does work for the regular gen 5 Glock 17
What suppressor sight did you go with?
Trijicon “Bright and Tough”. Like these but mine all my dots are green

@@NWIWhitetails I like the ones you have bc they don’t have the white outline. I’ll plan on using the RMR 99% of the time.
Yea they’re nice. I like them so far.
You will also have re zero the optic after removing it to replace the battery.
The couple guys I know that carry them say they hold pretty close to zero after changing the battery. But if it doesn’t. having to zero it once a year won’t be too bad.
It’s too bad the milled portion doesn’t fit the RMR. Then you wouldn’t need suppressor sights
The suppressor height sights allow you to co witness with the red dot. The metal on the slide would have to be pretty thick to allow enough milling to get the rmr low enough to co witness with regular height sights.
@@NWIWhitetails works on my 43X. Just sayin 👍🏼
@@frostriver4547 yea but is that an rmr cc?
@@NWIWhitetails it is. Just can’t understand why Glock couldn’t make the same idea work for the RMR. At least provide some raised sights for MOS models 🤷🏻♂️
Yea I think the mos models should come with stock suppressor height sights.
