Love a straw bag! The one you got in Greece is cute and very beachy! And the dresses are so pretty! I love my sunnies but have to have prescription ones. However, I splurged and got a gorgeous pair of Maui Jim’s which I can wear for everyday and sport. Am getting ready to go on my windjammer trip on Sunday. It is not a fancy cruise, more of a “roughing it” time but is a very relaxing week and the food is the best. All homemade and with a lobster boil on a little island! So looking forward to it. Got my sun hat, my sun shirts and lots of sunscreen! When I come back I can resume our Friday girlie lunches and wear my summer dresses. Am getting good use from my Teddy Blake wallet which I won in the last contest! So enjoy your videos. Keep them coming!
Hi Deirdre, I have just discovered your videos and truly enjoy them. As a resident of Southern California, I would suggest some additional tips for enjoying summer: Never spend time in the sun without a serious hat that provides protection for you entire face (which could also be glamorous), and do not sunbathe. The sun is your most serious enemy if you hope to look young (not to mention healthy) for as long as possible.
You are absolutely right: there definitely IS something we can still do to feel fabulous and great about ourselves. We deserve to feel and look good. XX

Next month I’m flying to Vancouver to go on a cruise to Alaska. A third of my packing is outdoor bad weather gear, I need two formal outfits and smart stylish casual wear. After following your advice over the last 7 months I’ve been able pack for every possible occasion without going over the weight allowance. Thank you Daphne I totally love you. Lots of hugs xxx

As a third recommendation from a Southern Californian on how to enjoy the sun without damaging yourself (I have already provided two recommendations in a previous comment), don't go out into the sun for more than five minutes without applying a serious sunscreen to your face, neck, chest, arms, the back of your hands, legs, and feet. I wouldn't be living where I do, if I didn't adore sunny weather, but you need to appreciate how damaging (aging) and sometimes life-threatening sun exposure can be.
Love summer tips! And your tan is fabulous. Many won’t agree with me but I think the sun is life! In summer I hardly wear makeup as my tanned skin doesn’t need it. I always look forward to a Thursday. Because of you 💗

Deirdre, you inspired me to look through everything I already own for the summer! After the past 2 years, I was living in 'house clothes', but your videos have inspired me to get in my closet and pull out things I had forgotten that I owned. I'm a 'homemaker', as they say in America; that is, a woman who doesn't work outside the home. I worked for 20 years, and now I don't have to anymore. About 10 years ago, the pajama lifestyle took over my life, and then C19 really made it to where I literally didn't have to get dressed for the day. Deirdre, you inspired me to get OUT of that funk and start dressing up again! Now, even if I'm just sitting on the couch watching your videos, I'm wearing jewelry, I'm wearing a favorite outfit and I'm feeling great about life!
