I remember when people would hire Tommy the clown for the kids' birthday parties, and it would be so much fun! When that van would pull up, we knew the party was about to be turned up. Those were the good ol days, lmao.
Yep I remember the first time I saw Tommy was at a birthday party in the 90s for one of my cousins… I was prob like 11 or 12, I thought it was just some regular clown I was like “I’m too old for this mess” then the party kicked off with the dancers popping out and I will never forget that, such an amazing time. The second time I got to experience was at a block party for a family friend a few years later and it was turnt! Good memories

It was streamed on twitch too. There was over 100K of us watching it on there. I had an amazing time. Kendrick is really a legend and the best. He embodies all of the greatest hip hop artists. He's a lyrical genius and an incredible performer. I've never witnessed anything like that in my life. I need to see him live. All of the love and respect he receives is well deserved. He works so hard at what he does and it paid off. IDK why people say he doesn't have hits like that. Fans know his songs and features word for word. I was sweating so much from dancing. The audacity of Drake to think the west coast doesn't love Kendrick and isn't protective of him. I'm mad at myself for not being a fan from the beginning. Seeing Black Hippy together was fire. They're talented AF too. I got a lot of music to catch up on. I'm so happy for them and Kendrick especially. People really question the impact he has. Kendrick is a global star just like Drake except he's truly a representative of REAL HIP HOP.
This concert was soooooooo amazing, I’m an east coast girl but I’ve always admired west coast, and this was a perfect showing of why. Kendrick and them went off🥹
I'm from the south and even I knew who Tommy the Clown was. You gotta have a lot of energy to crump because it takes a lot of you. Lol
I tuned into the concert and got emotional. Pure entertainment. You could feel the energy through the screen so I can only imagine how it felt in the building!!

Hey Rox, so glad you enjoyed the concert. I was hoping you would share your thoughts. I woke up on Thursday to Kev on Stage giving his breakdown of the concert. He was so excited and gleeful to be able to share his enjoyment of the show. Once I was able to watch the entire concert myself, I was floored by Kendrick's performance, the energy of the crowd and all that followed. Kendrick Lamar is the epitome of Big D*ck Energy!! Shout out to him and all the others who were on stage.
I remember Tommy the Clown from the documentary Rize. From what I can remember, it was a great documentary.

I was so hyped to see the concert live. I stayed up until 4AM UK time to watch it all. I was tired the next day but I don’t regret it.

Watching that concert is one of the best things I've done with my time in years. DJ Hed and Mustard introduced us to so many great artists. My Spotify got stocked up.
The setlist Kendrick chose definitely were all disses towards Drake. He had me so hype the entire time. You gotta be in shape to watch Kendrick perform. I was out of breath and my knees were getting stiff. 😂 I'm about to be 40. I said I can't be doing all of this jumping up and down and shit. Kendrick is so fine to me. I've been wondering if he can actually sing because there's so much he can do with his voice. The fact that he was born a day after Pac makes it seem like this was inevitable.

I was so happy that this concert was livestreamed. My low-tech self managed to get to my Prime Video and watch the whole thing. I truly enjoyed myself, and screamed like I was there😂.
It was amazing. As a 90’s west coast teen, this brought me back to rap music. For the past decade or so, I thought the auto tune and themes of popular hip hop was just not meant for me or I got old. There are few stand outs but when I saw For Free? and I thought, “this man is an artistic genius.” He is another level. He can have commercial success but doesn’t chase it and to create a monumental cultural experience holds higher value than money and he knows it. As you said, true to himself.

I didn’t find out about it until the day of but I was tuned in!! The whole time KDot was on stage I was standing on my bed rapping every song😂😂 I was so hyped & it felt like I was there for sure. Enjoyed every min of it & the live tweeting made it 10x more enjoyable
