Weevil even has to cheat at not talking.
😂
“WHAT!?”
Nyeh!
Attempting to comprehend their nonsensical season 1 plays without having the characters explain it 5 times to me is making my head hurt
So many plays out of turn order, and neither of them drew cards at the start of their turn (I had to edit those in). Season 1 duels really are pure nonsense lol
i'm also pretty sure some explanations that SHOULD be there aren't, like why the insects were gaining bonus attack, which i heard is because of the terrain of the island they were dueling at, as if there's a field spell that no one had to activate
I mean it’s really quite obvious what they were doing honestly
@@acefpJust imagine all spells and traps are quickplays. Then add in Pokémon type rulings.
@@michaelcarlton1484pretty much! Yugi won this match bc the moth was soaked in water, and was weaker to lightning
Let's all be honest here, Yugi shuffling his deck was gold.
There was definitely some littlekuriboh energy in it.
Yes! Shuffle well, pharaoh!
Agreed
Best believe he’s still topdecking 😂
Especially since he was shuffling incorrectly. He wasn't shuffling any of the cards on the lower half of his deck.
I like how Yugi's deck kept getting bigger each time it was seen, despite him drawing and using cards
King of Games baby. Cheating since the early days :P
My deck too is getting bigger each time it was seen, it's normal for boys
They edited in the draw phase many times due to it being skipped in the show
Was weird seeing a Kuriboh summoned without hearing the boy. Having all of Weevils noises was great
Weevil's cackles and such make a great contrast to the relative stoicism of Kaiba and Yugi. Especially since Weevil seems like the kind of dweeb who'd get kicked out of a library for laughing too loud.
It's unnerving seeing it without the "Do da la"
:angry Weevil noises:
@Aquilenne that's an annoying kuriboh
Mai vs Tea would be amazing,
Mai: ....
Tea: ....
Mai: *silently leaves the duelist's platform, unprompted*.
>quits
>leave
>negotiate no further
This is actually a really convenient way to recap what happens in these duels without needing to rewatch the entire episode again. Keep it up!
Makes sense that LittleKuriboh skipped all the actual duel bullshit in YGOTAS
It's like a Speedrun
1:58 I'll point it out since no one else seems to have, but the extra sound effects of his leather Jacket and the sound of the millennium puzzle chain is super underrated attention to detail!
When yoyre trying to play with your cousins, but your grandma is sleeping in the chair.
That Mirror Force moment was too real
-Someone who's only strategy is sometimes drawing Mirror Force
I'm just saying
I keep hearing how bad, outdated, or off meta battle traps are, but I keep smuggling magic cylinder and varieties of mirror force into my deck, and they keep working
@@aprinnyonbreak1290They may be easily able to counter traps, but they won't if they don't expect anyone to use them.
Man, without them talking it’s hard to remember all the bullshit they had to do in order to make a duel last 3 episodes
I can help you with that. **YES**
I wonder how the rematch on top of the train will go? How will Yugi DRAW MONSTER CARDO?
Yugi will just keep drawing and attacking and Weevil will shit himself each time while not understanding how the card works or why he's still getting attacked when his LP are 0
He starts screaming from third attack, since the duel was over by that point.
Yugi will just be a complete sociopath, silently looking upon Weevil with cold, dead eyes while stabbing him over and over with Breaker
me_irl@@michaeljames7857
@@_Vengeance_to be fair, that was all weevil’s fault.
That evil laugh Yami let out before revealing Mirror Force was the funniest shit ever. Also, man, it's crazy how removing the talking completely changes the vibe the show has.
Looking at that deck size, no f"cking way he was only playing 40-60 cards.
The pharoh was showing up with a 100 card deck.
to be fair, back in the day, there was no rule that said you had a limit on your deck size. until one player pulled up with a deck so large he needed help just moving it around the venue they were playing at. I think it was like 2200 cards. and it was legal. Of course it was also intentional to point out how absurd some decks and playstyles were so by going to the literal extreme, he was directly responsible for a rule change to limit decks to 60 at most.
@@fireemblem723i heard someone pick liked pokefloats in a legal melee tourney to show how dumb it was to be legal. Sometimes spitefully doing the thing you hate gets the message across better than pointing it out
@@fireemblem723and remember, he purposely had almost every card that forced you to shuffle, just to salt the wound, since that meant like 5 to 10 mins shuffling only to do it again right after lol
"My Deck has no useless cards!"
It was in Germany. I was on the table next to them while they pulled up with the deck xD it was fun to watch them shuffle that monster @@fireemblem723
It's honestly great that 4 minutes of near silence is entertaining than most stuff on youtube lol
Ah free will retards blaming shitty content for wasting their time instead of not clicking them because muh free will
the stock Runescape 'damage' sounds complete with the hitsplats at 3:25 always get a giggle out of me.
Believe it or not, those splats are actually in the original.
@@NecromancyForKids I know :P must be the same stock sound effect and generic 'hitsplat'.
The old school late 90s animation style of OG yugioh is so atmospheric, genuinely love these, thank you
Seeing all these with the knowledge that Yugi was cheating makes all of his 'oh nos' and 'what' expressions all the better knowing he was *just trolling people the whole time*
When was he cheating?
@@kindlingking Apparently he, thanks to the puzzle, could draw from his deck any card he wanted, at any time.
@@Tentumon111 that's not the case. Haven't seen anime in a while, so can't say how much it butchered that aspect, but manga clearly states Millennium Puzzle doesn't have anything to do with cards. Rather it's universal to all duelists and more akin to gravity in JoJo - strong duelists can will outcomes they want into existence ("destiny draw" as community calls it). Cheaters on the other hand, because they rely on shortcuts and tricks, have weak mind and as such cannot grasp their own fate like true duelists can. Atem, being an ancient pharaoh and the king of games (all games, not just cards) has the strongest will, which is why he has an upper hand against others. Except when he's fighting duelists of similar calibre, like Seto Kaiba, who himself through his own sheer willpower can reawaken a Egyptian God from the earth to aid him in battle.
@@Tentumon111also, he summoned Gaia, summon skull and curse of dragon, and dark magician without any tributes
@@weebandgaminginc.7593 this was before tribute summons was a thing. No one sacrificed
2:08 shuffle your cards well pharaoh - Melvin
Real talk, this actually make the matches enjoyable to watch. Usually in the manga or anime, The characters spend most of their time talking which drags out the matchup.
That do be how it goes when the show is designed so that anyone can hop into the show at any point and still understand what cards do.
I can't stand in any anime there's always a bunch of dialogue from side characters
Remove filler and spectating. Duels aren't that long.
The Pegasus duel if all dialog is cut and only focuses on the match. It barely an episode length.
This why spectating and constantly pointing out cards is a mistake
@@soukenmarufwt5224And all of the friendship talk
That's because in the anime and manga, the card game itself isn't the point. Not even remotely so, since Takahashi originally didn't plan to use the card game past the first time it appeared. The card game is just a vehicle to tell the story, and characters talking during the "fight" to gloat or make commentary or state themes or whatever is expected of a Shounen story.
Love these edits, also it really shows how duelist kingdom rules made zero sense lol
It shows how much sense the rules made actually
Earlier yugioh played more like roleplaying than it did with actual rules. they would pretty much just make crap up (Attack the moon!!) to change the situation, and their opponent would try to wriggle their way out of it either by making up some effect their monster had or other cards.
tl;dr Early yugioh = dnd
Back when this game was "Magic & Wizards" the duels were played as if they were magic the gathering. That's why the rain and poison fogs existed and even Yami attacking the moon was a thing. Many of the magic cards were intended to be field cards with field effects and adding field bonuses to compatible monsters. When Battle City happened Konami wanted to make the card game a viable thing so Takahashi reconfigured the game with new rules making it the Duel Monsters we know today.
@@Luipaard005What are you talking about? Magic the Gathering plays absolutely nothing like this. In MTG you can't even attack anything except for players much less the freaking moon.
@@mrbubbles6468I want to have whatever you're smoking
The shuffling absokutely KILLED me. This series is a delight, thank you!
No time to talk as weevil is that easy to beat
2:25 Damn, poor Kuriboh, that was brutal. Nowadays monsters just explode into light triangles.
Such a fun series
Keep doing these type of videos dude, you unlocked a hidden gem that will make us happy and you popular😊 thanks!!!
1:15 mystic mine gameplay
That Forbidden Memory fusion sounds. I see what you did there 👁️👁️
I love these so much. The Weevil noises were perfect. The reaction shots of characters really get me goin also.
I simply cannot afford to miss this series. It's such an amusing, simple twist on the series and the small comedic edits are great. Subscribed.
So good, I love the little edits like speeding up Yugi shuffling.
The absurd shuffling was wonderful thank you
You never disappoint! Great episode! Also love the long ass shuffle
I never realised how absolutely deranged Yami Yugi's face was in season 1 when he smirked
Please keep doing these, they’re so much fun
Yugi is pretty clever in using monster recovery to slow-play Weevil to stall for time. Look how many times he shuffles. He'd do well at YCS.
0:00 How me and my homie look at each other before just before engaging in the most mischievous shenanigan's known to man
Okay, hold up. I'll give you weavil's little noises, but that "what" was definitely someone talking

2:09 me at locals, waiting for everyone to decide in which table im going to play.
That Summoned Skull entrance into the field was so awesome for me as a kid watching the show
OK but why did he get +1000 attack
@@Kyle-nm1kh Season 1 Yugioh was filled with a lot of nonsene but now that you mention it i never noticed it either until now.
I like how Weevil talking is so annoying, and yet we still manage to have a video where these 2 aren't supposed to talk yet he still makes sounds to annoy.
This is honestly a really great idea for a series it this one in particular really tested my memory of the battle
Yugioh from duellist kingdom is just DND, but Yugi rolls a nat 20 every game.
“I roll to attack the moon”
*DM sighs* “Describe how you do it”

SHUFFLE!
I am loving this series you're doing! I get a huge laugh out of this! Thanks for being so awesome!
COMEDY GOLD!
Bruh weevil dead staring and playing a big ahh praying mantis with a laser cannon was peak
I can't wait til you get to a part where Pot of Greed is played.
2:10 *Shuffling Intensifies*😂
Laughed too hard at this
Amazing, I'm having so much fun watching these.
You stumbled onto a great idea for a video series, these silent duels are awesome! You did a really cool job.
I love this so much. Subbed and can't wait to see more!
Waaah! Hahahu!
1:34
Yugi: You, looked like you really wanted to say something, what?
Weevil: 😀
This is psychotic.
Thank you.
They could be dueling just for the sake of it. It’s not clarified and that’s funny to me
this is so satisfying and funny at the same time 😭
When you are playing at recess but don't want to cause a loud commotion. (people don't know you're a nerd yet)
I've never heard someone giggle "Hee-hee-hee" as much as in this episode
I just watched the whole thing. This is hilarious. Take my subscription
I really wonder how Basic Insect powered up by those two spells can be stronger than Dark Magician
This has legs my friend. Keep making these lmao
Can we get more like this please? This is oddly satisfying to me no cap.
This is the series thats gonna blow up your channel, keep em coming🎉
Man I love those videos
This is my favorite series out of all things that have ever been made ever. It's all gold. The shuffling, the insect with the cannon was hilarious with no sound, they kept drawing cards, the sound effects, the absolute bullshit rules (Was summoned skull super effective because lighting? LOL fucking yami cheating) . It's so perfect. I hope you continue to not rush as I need as much as possible.
lol. this is how master duel is played. cards moving, dead air everywhere!
one day ago?! awww man i was binge watching all these but good so far!!!
I must congratulate you for the pure feat of mental endurance demonstrated here. Editing out the 69.419 (understandable and reasonable that you missed the "What?!" at 1:42) lines of dialogues must have been quite taxing to one's sanity. What's next? Dragon Ball Z Freeza Saga but no one talks? Maybe finally we can see Namek explode in actual 5 minutes.
This is so deeply unsettling
the runescape sound effects killed me
Every monster drawn by hand. Fucking love Duel Monsters.
Whoever you are, know that I love you for making this.
I was right. Shenanigans are already hilarious to try and follow
I remember this match taking like two weeks to experience as a kid
Oh the good old days of only having 2000 lifepoints and raw dog normal summoning the strongest monsters.
This is the most sane way to watch the old Yugioh imo
This is how anime needs to be. No monolouge.. No back and forth dialouge.. Just FIGHT! 😂
Basically what real life matches are like xD
I love this series
You have gotten my sub, please do more.
Id love to see the duel against Panik with nothing said
That would be close to nonsensical
why is this so much more compelling
A critique because I love this series so much: dont let them laugh at all or anything until the end either. It breaks the immersion. Still love this tho
I actually think the weevil laugh works as that lets us know he thinks he's winning and how the emotions of the duel are changing. Such an iconic laugh too.
@@brian6319I agree and had similar thoughts. He also cheated by talking, which I found hilarious.
I always thought star chips looked like Magic Stars, a chocolate we get here in the UK. I always wanted to eat them whenever I watched Yu-Gi-Oh
I may or may not want a video of yugi shuffling his deck for 4 minutes
I love these!!
This is really getting a garfield - garfield approach to it.
When actions speak louder than words
0:28 the random “aah”😂
When there's no talking you can notice other things, like my stupid self realizing that yugi aint the only one with the glove. I was wondering why he was drawing so much lol
side note: Were those runescape goblin noises with the dragon champion losing life?
I think the original studio made a bunch of stock footage for card closeups (weevil has a blue sleeve in several shots). The biggest difference indication is the podium color and position on the screen. So far Yugi always appears on the right side of the screen.
Yes, those were Runescape damage sounds! I didn't add the visuals though, those were already there lol
@@acefpShut the hell up. Those -100s weren't your edits!?! Wtf season 1!? Those graphics are actually insane.
This is so much better like they are not talking
Those internal monologue moments make the pharaoh seem so much more sinister when you don’t have yugi to add his voice too
0:12 - As of the time of me typing out this comment, this is my first time watching these videos. Brook no foolishness with my words; this part damn near killed me, and I don't think I could ever explain why.
As goofy as this is, I love this stuff, this is so cool to me for some reason.
Can they make even less sounds please, it will be fine trust me.
Don't worry, it's just weevil. That kid can't help it
I had to keep reminding my self that the feild was automatically affecting the entire duel. So many minor 3d details
were applied during the kingdom arc.
This is amazing
