I live in your town. I am a flat board woodworker that recently bought a bench lathe. Having fun learning on it and have attempted these decorations twice. I found getting the dimensions right to be tricky. My snowmen and xmas trees look good though!! I'll keep trying. Thanks for the video!

I tried this last night. I used 4 maple blanks, one of the blanks splintered. Needless to say, my project ended up in the burn pile. I may try a softer wood.
