We are trying an entirely new template for reviews. This will let us dig deeper into the movies and keep me from talking over Maple and Arianna as much lol. So this Review is going to be the test one and will take a bit longer to edit. hopefully this process will be streamlined in the future.

Some people were expecting the Fast and the Furious and were very disappointed they didn’t get it. I was expecting the Fast and the Furious and was very pleased I didn’t get it.

The awkwardness of their first scenes works perfectly. Their chemistry is so obvious and the film makes you feel uncomfortable because it's like you're intruding on those very personal and private moments. I also just love a film that takes it's time and doesn't rush things. I need to soak up the atmosphere, the location, the sounds and get to know the people involved; even if they don't give much away.

One of the most beautifully made films made in over a decade. An art film disguised as a genre flick that was as unexpected for audiences when it first came out as it was for you.

So much of the movie is about Gossling hiding his true nature from Irene and her son. ------- When it's time to come forth it comes out with a vengeance. ------- I loved the goodbye kiss he gives her in the elevator before he shows the part of himself he has been hiding. -------- The scorpion jacket gives a hint as to his true nature. Silent and unassuming until it's time to unleash a deadly strike. -------- Not to mention the Killer soundtrack. I stream it constantly after watching this movie. Love it!

The music in this film was very important and made every scene. I’m so glad it made an impression. Most reactors gloss over it! 😀👍🏼

“Nightcall” by Kavinsky was a great intro song.

I genuinely like the chemistry. While I know it seems unrealistic with people being able to spark a relationship with very few words like that, a part of me also wishes constant talking wasn't so necessary in real life. Imagine just being able to enjoy each others presence like that and not feeling uncomfortable with some silence.

His quiet and serious demeanor makes him so much more scary than any "tough guy" character you'd see in a typical movie.

I love how Driver’s demeanor changes when it’s a matter of someone he cares about. Every other situation he’s cold blooded and hard boiled, but when it’s Irene, he looks like a scared little boy. When he brings her the news of what happened to Standard and after stomping the hitman to death, this steely eyed gangster gets this submissive look on him that is reminiscent of a child knowing that he disappointed his parents. Really phenomenal character acting.

The scene where Albert Brooks kills Bryan Cranston and calmly talks to him as he bleeds out to comfort him stuck with me ever since I saw it

In my opinion this tiny masterpiece is what made me realise that Mr. Gosling could do more than look good. The whole film is a testament to the vision of the film maker and the talent of the assembled cast. Not since Max Ophuls, excuse the absent umlaut, has a film's lighting, visuals and cinematography combined to produce such a beautiful yet desolate image. The look on Gosling's face as she runs from the elevator beatdown is the death of hope and the end of innocence, and end he blames himself for...I have seen this film more than 10 times and each viewing is a revelation, like a good Beatles song it reveals more each time you encounter it. I dislike hyperbole, but this is a work of near genius. I enjoy watching your responses Miss, and shall keep watching.

Great reaction! I absolutely love Drive; one of my fave films of the last fifteen years. The music is incredible and Ryan's performance is equal parts awkward, chilling, and sad.

Ryan Gossling does a lot of great acting without saying much dialogue. -------- It reprises the great spaghetti westerns with Clint Eastwood does the same thing by doing a lot without saying much. ------- The acting is great. Everyone's in a trance. -------- The movie lulls you to sleep with its relaxed nature and then shocks you with it's intense action and extreme gory violence. -------- What a great contracts throughout the movie.

Downsides of being single: some movies are really meant to be shared.

I'm silent introvert and I'm not going to lie... I enjoy watching people struggle with silence, it's so awkward for them.
