I love DiLorenzo's no-nonsense, rash approach. It makes me chuckle sometimes. Give "Organized Crime: The Unvarnished Truth About Government" a try, it's pretty much written in the same style :)

Well, thank you for mentioning this. That's what I was just pondering to comment about before finding your post. So, here is my take on this in a nutshell:
Organized crime controls the American Government at almost all levels, and the politicians are their puppets and facilitators. Almost, because there may be honesty at the grass roots level of politics, because that is a good thing, as it gives the whole structure a smack of "normal" for the eyes of the public.
I say this not because I read it in a book, but because I have lived here now for almost 30 years, and this is my very personal conclusion from watching and analyzing what is happening here year in year out.

30:35 “The word 'truth' itself ceases to have its old meaning. It describes no longer something to be found, with the individual conscience as the sole arbiter of whether in any particular instance the evidence (or the standing of those proclaiming it) warrants a belief; it becomes something to be laid down by authority, something which has to believed in the interest of unity of the organized effort and which may have to be altered as the exigencies of this organized effort require it.” -F. A. Hayek

"The dogma that the State or the Government is the embodiment of all that is good and beneficial and that the individuals are wretched underlings, exclusively intent upon inflicting harm upon one another and badly in need of a guardian, is almost unchallenged. It is taboo to question it in the slightest way. He who proclaims the godliness of the State and the infallibility of its priests, the bureaucrats, is considered as an impartial student of the social sciences. All those raising objections are branded as biased and narrow-minded."
    Ludvig von Mises

    • @kellyowens1868
      @kellyowens1868 Před 6 lety +1

+Lots to Learn + You do have more to learn, if you are not aware that the cultural marxists, have engaged in insidious efforts to undermine engineering as an academic discipline. The C.M. ideologues did not go for
gainful employment in practical engineering, or a related field, upon graduation. Keep in mind, these people
play dirty, and sometimes prefer it. The graduates, with their Cultural Marxist agenda to push, headed for the
graduate schools, and the few institutions that specialize in the TEACHING of engineering, at the grad. and
post-grad. level. I have already seen stories pointing towards the new "Feminist Engineering", and it's eager
reception by government officials in English speaking countries. I think it is safe to assume that the same contagion, has infected many other European nations. I am certain, that most, advanced, asian nations, ...... ie: China, Japan, S. Korea, and India, for the most part, are virtually immune from this flawed, faith-based, form of thinking.. It might be ironic, if the Chinese society was inoculated against C.M, by the original dose of strict communist doctrine, injected shortly after the birth of the people's republic. The authoritarian governmental structures, may prevent any acute outbreaks, or slow the spread dramatically.
Even in the case of computer science, the avenues that are, or soon will become invasion routes, are easily identifiable. The gamer-gate scandal, is an example, of manipulation of media companies, and related publications, by coordinated outside forces, utilizing culturally Marxist theories, and intimidation. You may be a well trained, and highly competent coder, but your end product can be co-opted, to purposes, over which you have no control. The organization, hiring, operating philosophy, or mission statement of monopolistic, hegemon, GOOGLE, is deeply influenced, by this erant thinking, as the James Damore memo revealed. His rapid termination, is a classic instance of Marxisms intolerance, and harsh retributions, inflicted on those
      expressing oppositional voices.
I used to think, like many others, that certain careers, fields of study, or cultural structures, ie. "the Hard Sciences etc., could withstand, or avoid the corrosive influences, of this intellectually-bankrupt, power-hungry,
foreign-born social-suicide pact. If they set their well-washed-minds to taking over, or casting aside a culturally, or socially relevant institution, there seem to be few effective means of RESISTANCE. KOut

University's are part of the problem with the establishment corrupted by corporation. We, as a society, get ripped-off by the cabal who drain are governments of their financial resources and freedom of action. So those trans-national super corporation have slowly and surely taken the freedom and independence away from all the major and minor university and have imposed their philosophies. Their ways of history and paradigm. Are government are no longer in position to fully finance these schools and guaranties there independence. So big corporation finance the research at the university level and have to many chairs in the direction of those schools. If you do not follow the line established by big brothers, the corporations, you are out of grants for research. Company's have no right to control are governments and they should be taxed fairly and properly. We, the people, have this obligation to rule are destiny and protect the vulnerable and poor. No more loophole for these mega-corporations. They should be obliged to respect the environment and the people who works for them. Simply be good corporate citizen and pay their fair share to the society for the impact they impose on the planet Earth.

Thanks. I see my skepticism was well founded. Unfortunately, there are many just like the SPLC. They border on libel, in my opinion. They had the Mises Institute labeled as a neo-confederate hate group. The twisting and fallacious association of ideas is dangerous and 'hateful' to the extent that word can be applied, which is one reason why I was skeptical that the FBI is _actually_ ending their consulting relationship with them - it is just too useful to the establishment to have a bunch of fearful narcs out there constantly monitoring and distorting perspectives on things. All the 'ending of the link of the site' implies is that there is one more level of invisible standards being applied by law enforcement.
