This device expect a Hall or a Variable Reluctor (VR) as pickup signal. If the input signal to the ECU is different, it will not work.

yes. The complete formula is actually: RPM = (60*FRQ*STROKES) / ( 2*CYLINDERS)
Which can be (in MY case) simplified in Hz*60

indeed the delay from pickup to spark (the advance or retard), advance at kick start, crankshaft or camshaft and strokes. Hall sensor or VR pickup

Hello, If I'm not mistaken Honda XR600R is a AC-CDI and XR600L is a DC-CDI.

You have to be sure that the stator (high voltage) and the pickup are both OK.

This unit works ONLY with digital CDI ignition. It doesn't work with analog CDI like GY6.
