I feel like they are slowing starting to build their ecosystem by doing things mostly related to style and aethetics compared to functionality. Basically they're trying to make people use their products to have a cohesive style, even in what they wear.
I feel Nothing is becoming more like the Emirates - innovative, leading, pushing boundaries and becoming the most loved lifestyle brand. They will achieve a lot in 2 years, mark my words.
Man those are some useful updates. I am using the Phone (1) for the past 1.5 years, man its amazing. Few phones which provide clean UI experience and amazing performance. Cant wait for these guys to bring out more products😊

yes it looks slick. but there is one more slider that should add to this. have you guys tried LG phone slider? that phone has an individual custom media volume for EVERY app. that thing has so many use. we can customize every app volume.
Has anyone thought about the font style..... The style of font that nothing uses is amazing.... One should think of adding it as a font style for people to use it more often rather than just looking at it in the lock screen and as widgets

I love your products. My mom upgraded her phone last year and I recommended her the phone 1 and she's loving it. I myself aim to get the phone 2 within the next couple of months. I have a feedback though. I think your phones could really benefit and appeal to a wider range of people if the camera performance was upgraded. You guys are really nailing the software side of things in the phones. So I believe you can be really good with camera software too. I have really high hopes for your future.
Really wanted to get the Nothing 2 after having the OnePlus 7 Pro for 4-5 years. A fan of Carl for being so innovative but could not justify the phone purchase without having camera and audio quality that is comparable with top brands
I love how Nothing is paying attention to every smallest detail to make the lives of its users easy. Trust me, I used to feel that there should be something called as a cropped screenshot while capturing the SS. After seeing that feature is going to get rolled out in the new phones it makes so happy. Trust me !!
Samsung has this feature since a few years back, not in the same way ofc, but I can promise you, it's so useful and I love it, so it's a feature I'm happy Nothing is also doing it!

Got Nothing Phone 2 for my work phone. Ive got Fold3 as my personal phone, but somehow this "Basic" phone gets me excited. All black theme, smooth OS and honestly, the update notes are amazing, not just "Small fixes" , but detailed info. When time comes to switch from Fold3, Ill see where this brand is. Keep this mentality and youll go far, but if you forget who you were and what made you big (Like O+), people forget you. Good luck Nothing👍
Excited for Nothing OS 2.5. The whole UI looks very clean, consistent and user friendly. I own a Phone(1) but sadly they didnt mention when new OS would be available for it.
Kudos to the company for this rather honest State of the Company and insights into the company internal discussions. It's honestly not often we the consumer see a company engage the community and succinctly recognize the community's feedback and then in the same breath tell the community the internal conversations (to the extent Nothing can) on addressing those.
Just got the Phone 2 few days back and I'm very happy with it. It's great to see such update videos and no other brand is doing this. Since we are talking about screenshots I would like to recommend a feature. Samsung phones save the link of the webpage along with the screenshot which is super useful so please consider adding this
Shutter lag is so bad In phone 2 hoping for a fix on the stable update and the integration of vibration feedback should be in more places like in brightness bar and volume etc.
Love the new updates, waiting for the official release of Nothing OS 2.5. Accidental screenshots happen with me often, the option to instantly delete it is great. And a new, more powerful editor to edit screenshots is welcome. Please please add an option to take long screenshots, essentially scroll to take a long screenshot please!
I really like this quick settings/notification panel concept at 8:02 at the right, gives a different and new feel when compared to the current one(stock Android) and other Android skins(one ui,oxygen os). I truly wish they bring this in the coming future.
Change the update policy. 3 years of android updares 4 years of security patches falls behind what Google Samsung and Apple offer. Not planning to grab a nothing phone until they revise their update policy

If it's possible to add more custom layers to the glyph interface, like more control over each LED bar, that would be a welcome feature. Love the interface so far, but not having access to some of the LEDs is slightly awkward.
Feedback: can you add the option to make the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen invisible? almost everyone navigates the bar with muscle memory and it would look sooooooo clean if it were invisible

also I’ve said it before but a community backed “nothing icon” app would be great. if it meets a design standard / moderation on what icon is accepted. It’d help keep the whole OS UI look clean but also new users not have to worry about an icon looking ugly (they can just find something they need for their app say a local bank can utilize a money symbol of region)
Phone ( 2 ) is perfect ! But it would be awesome if y'all add the glyph function to work like when you set an alarm and the glyph blink as well it would be really helpful , anyway love the phone ( 2 ) keep it up nothing .

I can feel the Portuguese accent in Bruno's english. I'm proud of seeing a Portuguese designer in one of my favorite bands. Maybe one day I'll be able to be part of the Nothing design team, maybe one day, until then I will continue studying and working so that maybe one day I can be part of this team or another brand in which I identify 🇵🇹

Yesterday I bought the nothing phone 2, when i went home i found that the phone had issues with the screen. The screen showed signs of already burnt pixels and it was displaying the AOD clock in the background no matter which app i open. I went back to the dealer and he said he cannot help me as I already bought the phone and asked me to go to the service center. I would have accepted his answer if the phone was 15 days old or so. But to have this kind of issue within the first hour of the new phone is truly unacceptable. I left my phone with the dealer as he told me that he will try and get it fixed. But imagine you buy a phone that is well over 40,000 and it will be tear down open the very next day of the purchase. How would you feel Mr Carl? And the phone wasn’t even for me.. it was a gift for someone. The whole experience just made me look like a fool.

is it me or in the lock Screen wallpaper i would also like to have the option of having normal android clock like in Samsung and google phone's lock Screen .In the custom options for Lock screen options this should be allowed especially since this phone is known to give a stock android experience .The current one is cool but sometimes it gets boring when you use it for a longer time so the general android Lock screen option should also be there.(I hope to get a response from you guys )

I've had the Phone 2 for a couple of days and honestly I miss all the little customisation options from my previous phone that uses Oxygen OS. Things like hiding the white bar at the bottom of the screen (what is that even for?), removing all the dead space from underneath the keyboard, changing the font, requiring fingerprint/passcode to turn the phone off (in case it's stolen and you're trying to use find my phone), etc, etc. The phone would be so much nicer to use if you just incorporated a lot of the features of Oxygen OS.
Hello guys, I am using Phone 2 and have some suggestions - 1) On homepage Give us a option to set Volume button to Increase or decrease ringtone volume to put phone in silent or vibrate mode even when phone is locked. 2) hold up or down media button to run voice recorder or something else app, So user can decide. 3) Phone 2's Always on Display feature is not useful because lockscreens shortcut apps also visible which doesn't look good but we can't use these shortcuts directly when AOD is on. Allow us to use these shortcuts directly from AOD without waking the display or just give the option to remove Shortcut Apps on AOD. There is more to add in your OS, Some I have forget but whenever I recall that I will let you know guys.
That's why I fuckin love nothing.The only reason to buy the phone 2 was I knew they wanna build a brand who cares about their users and look they addressed all my issues with this one. Waiting for the updates eagerly.
My next phone will definitely be the Nothing Phone (3). I left South Africa when the phone 1 had just launched there and now the 2nd is almost halfway to going to 3 so I'll just push through till the next one is released. There's all round improvements to all aspects of the entire company
It would be amazing if nothing effects the design principles of Bengaluru city. There is lot of development needed and if nothing designers work with civil engineers it would be great!
I was doubtful if I should get Nothing Phone 2, it had his "issues" compared with other phones, but I gave it a go and I don't regret my decision. They heard the issues of the cameras right when it launched and they made an effort to fix it and then you have constant updates keeping us informed about what's going on, it makes me feel like they really care and only launched a phone to make another one next year. Instead of thinking how many versions to launch of the same device with some small differences (pro, pro plus or ultra sonic), they launch ONE device from time to time and then focus on the software to take the must advantage of it and that's exactly what I want, I don't want to buy one phone every year I want to enjoy some really good years with it. And for this reason I'm really glad I choose this phone. So keep the good work!
One idea, How about Nothing launch nfc tag with red colour... like circular. Then create nothing nfc app which supports lots of automation. So for example when working/studying, on desk auto switch to work/study mode. Or more such cooler automations....

I'm a big fan of what Nothing is doing and what they have accomplished so far. I live in the states and the diversity they are creating in a Samsung/Apple ruled world, is very appealing. Now one thing that excites me and i hope it makes it way to the states, is the nothing phone 2a. I hope they read this message because i think the mid range phone segment is up for grabs in the US, nothing really stands out besides the Pixel 7a and samsung A54. To have real competition in this market would be very lucrative and beneficial for the Nothing brand.
Just got a nothing phone 2.. coming from a Samsung s22 ultra and honestly im now a nothing user for the foreseeable future everything ive been looking for in a phone is finally here and the amount of time you guys are putting into it and all the feedback your taking in is amazing this is what we've been needing in the phone market.... If you continue how you are now i can see nothing phones absolutely dominating the phone market in the future 🔥 keep it up guys your doing so good 👍 also the camera could do with just a bit more improvement but other than that im really liking everything so far....
Was the S22 ultra the snapdragon version or exynos. Because my snapdragon version is very smooth to be honest. I thank God so very much for giving me this phone in Jesus Mighty Name. Thank you God and may your Name be praised forever in Jesus's Christ Mighty Name.
@@derricknyakundi1985 nah I sadly had the exynos chip 😭😭 its absolutely terrible it's laggy.. freezes quite often the camera app isn't usable once you go beyond 10x zoom it instantly crashes and loads of other things
The next thing you should add is Airplay 2 support to beam audio/video to apple devices. HTC used to have this and only HTC provided this but its one way to remove another apple barrier.

i think giving users the option to cap charging (e.g. i only want my phone to charge up to 80% even if i forget to plug it out) would be a huge deal. idk how to formally submit this as a suggestion tho, but i think it would be a nice add-on especially for the ones of us who are a little more tech oriented

also I’ve said it before but a community backed “nothing icon” app would be great. if it meets a design standard / moderation on what icon is accepted. It’d help keep the whole OS UI look clean but also new users not have to worry about an icon looking ugly (they can just find something they need for their app say a local bank can utilize a money symbol of region)

Phone ( 2 ) is perfect ! But it would be awesome if y'all add the glyph function to work like when you set an alarm and the glyph blink as well it would be really helpful , anyway love the phone ( 2 ) keep it up nothing .

I just wanted to drop a quick note to say thank you for all the unique features you've been adding to the Nothing phone! I'm loving it so far. It would be super cool if you guys could add a dialer and gallery app that's unique to Nothing. That way, everything would be even more seamless and user-friendly. Keep up the great work!

I can feel the Portuguese accent in Bruno's english. I'm proud of seeing a Portuguese designer in one of my favorite bands. Maybe one day I'll be able to be part of the Nothing design team, maybe one day, until then I will continue studying and working so that maybe one day I can be part of this team or another brand in which I identify 🇵🇹

Yesterday I bought the nothing phone 2, when i went home i found that the phone had issues with the screen. The screen showed signs of already burnt pixels and it was displaying the AOD clock in the background no matter which app i open. I went back to the dealer and he said he cannot help me as I already bought the phone and asked me to go to the service center. I would have accepted his answer if the phone was 15 days old or so. But to have this kind of issue within the first hour of the new phone is truly unacceptable. I left my phone with the dealer as he told me that he will try and get it fixed. But imagine you buy a phone that is well over 40,000 and it will be tear down open the very next day of the purchase. How would you feel Mr Carl? And the phone wasn’t even for me.. it was a gift for someone. The whole experience just made me look like a fool.
Need a Nothing Dialer and Gallery app as well!

Nothing 1 , suggestions to Devs
1. Double tap to wake screen ( in stead of single tap to wake screen )
2. Double tap to off the screen from lock screen ( not available yet )
3. Single swipe to access brightness slider ( instead of two swipes )
4. Adding auto brightness module on brightness slider itself ( in stead of hiding it deep inside SETTINGs )

The only thing stopping me from making the jump from iPhone to the Nothing phone is the lack of a smartwatch.
Having the ability to cutoff internet access for specific apps is a must feature for me.. I'm looking forward to it.
is it me or in the lock Screen wallpaper i would also like to have the option of having normal android clock like in Samsung and google phone's lock Screen .In the custom options for Lock screen options this should be allowed especially since this phone is known to give a stock android experience .The current one is cool but sometimes it gets boring when you use it for a longer time so the general android Lock screen option should also be there.(I hope to get a response from you guys )

I've had the Phone 2 for a couple of days and honestly I miss all the little customisation options from my previous phone that uses Oxygen OS. Things like hiding the white bar at the bottom of the screen (what is that even for?), removing all the dead space from underneath the keyboard, changing the font, requiring fingerprint/passcode to turn the phone off (in case it's stolen and you're trying to use find my phone), etc, etc. The phone would be so much nicer to use if you just incorporated a lot of the features of Oxygen OS.
Hello guys, I am using Phone 2 and have some suggestions -
1) On homepage Give us a option to set Volume button to Increase or decrease ringtone volume to put phone in silent or vibrate mode even when phone is locked.
2) hold up or down media button to run voice recorder or something else app, So user can decide.
3) Phone 2's Always on Display feature is not useful because lockscreens shortcut apps also visible which doesn't look good but we can't use these shortcuts directly when AOD is on. Allow us to use these shortcuts directly from AOD without waking the display or just give the option to remove Shortcut Apps on AOD.
There is more to add in your OS, Some I have forget but whenever I recall that I will let you know guys.
I frikking LOVE how transparent this brand is. Feels so pro-consumeristic now that other brands have set the bar so low.
In the next phone, please give us either IP68 rating or Charger in the Box. Both of them would be GOLD!
That's why I fuckin love nothing.The only reason to buy the phone 2 was I knew they wanna build a brand who cares about their users and look they addressed all my issues with this one. Waiting for the updates eagerly.

My next phone will definitely be the Nothing Phone (3). I left South Africa when the phone 1 had just launched there and now the 2nd is almost halfway to going to 3 so I'll just push through till the next one is released. There's all round improvements to all aspects of the entire company
It would be amazing if nothing effects the design principles of Bengaluru city. There is lot of development needed and if nothing designers work with civil engineers it would be great!
I was doubtful if I should get Nothing Phone 2, it had his "issues" compared with other phones, but I gave it a go and I don't regret my decision. They heard the issues of the cameras right when it launched and they made an effort to fix it and then you have constant updates keeping us informed about what's going on, it makes me feel like they really care and only launched a phone to make another one next year.
Instead of thinking how many versions to launch of the same device with some small differences (pro, pro plus or ultra sonic), they launch ONE device from time to time and then focus on the software to take the must advantage of it and that's exactly what I want, I don't want to buy one phone every year I want to enjoy some really good years with it. And for this reason I'm really glad I choose this phone.

How about Nothing launch nfc tag with red colour... like circular.
Then create nothing nfc app which supports lots of automation. So for example when working/studying, on desk auto switch to work/study mode. Or more such cooler automations....
If you guys are reading comments here are few things that you can worj upon
1 ) Dialer : need nothing design looks out of place
2 ) Contacts App : official google contact app is cluttered
3 ) Music Player : A nothing theme based player
4 ) File Explorer : Official google files is bad experience overall
5 ) Photos app or Gallery with editor: this is most important need of the hour

I'm a big fan of what Nothing is doing and what they have accomplished so far. I live in the states and the diversity they are creating in a Samsung/Apple ruled world, is very appealing. Now one thing that excites me and i hope it makes it way to the states, is the nothing phone 2a. I hope they read this message because i think the mid range phone segment is up for grabs in the US, nothing really stands out besides the Pixel 7a and samsung A54. To have real competition in this market would be very lucrative and beneficial for the Nothing brand.
Just got a nothing phone 2.. coming from a Samsung s22 ultra and honestly im now a nothing user for the foreseeable future everything ive been looking for in a phone is finally here and the amount of time you guys are putting into it and all the feedback your taking in is amazing this is what we've been needing in the phone market.... If you continue how you are now i can see nothing phones absolutely dominating the phone market in the future 🔥 keep it up guys your doing so good 👍 also the camera could do with just a bit more improvement but other than that im really liking everything so far....
Was the S22 ultra the snapdragon version or exynos. Because my snapdragon version is very smooth to be honest. I thank God so very much for giving me this phone in Jesus Mighty Name. Thank you God and may your Name be praised forever in Jesus's Christ Mighty Name.
@@derricknyakundi1985 nah I sadly had the exynos chip 😭😭 its absolutely terrible it's laggy.. freezes quite often the camera app isn't usable once you go beyond 10x zoom it instantly crashes and loads of other things
The next thing you should add is Airplay 2 support to beam audio/video to apple devices. HTC used to have this and only HTC provided this but its one way to remove another apple barrier.
I really love Nothing Phone and OS. But now I still have 1+5. Credit to Carl for great 1+5. I'm planning to buy Nothing Phone in the future. Please keep on great efforts on your jobs. I am always watching all you guys.

If Nothing Phone 2 can swipe down at the left (or right) edge on display, then open volume dialog. It's will is very cool and comfortable.
It would be great if you add automatic hotspot turn off feature that turns off the hotspot after the data limit exceeds.
I am Phone 1 User, and I am very excited about the Pedometer, Media Control Widget integrated across various apps, Immediate Screenshot delete, 3 finger customized screen shot.Seriously, Nothing OS is like a breath of fresh air in a world full of custom Androids.
I hope nothing 3 comes with the latest flagship chipset.
Will be eagerly waiting for that next year.
i think giving users the option to cap charging (e.g. i only want my phone to charge up to 80% even if i forget to plug it out) would be a huge deal. idk how to formally submit this as a suggestion tho, but i think it would be a nice add-on especially for the ones of us who are a little more tech oriented
