  • In today's video we're taking a minute to do some maintenance to our industrial sewing machine and oiling her. When you get your Fabricator you get a manual with where and how to oil your machine but some of the parts and places are hard to see so in this video I show you exactly where those places are. Most of the places have a hole to look for but others are just a conjunction to look for. Life saver video! I just got my fabricator all set up and start stitching today! Someone suggested in the group to oil before I start sewing. I gotta say I was pretty nervous about doing it. I had already run some stitches. But I decided to go for it. Your video was incredibly helpful AND my machine sounds soooo much better now that I've oiled it! Who would have thought I should have to oil it right off the bat like that. How often are we supposed to oil?

      I think it just depends, if you use it a lot the more you need to oil it. As far as oiling it when came in, I didn't lol But yes, they sound so much better after lol

    What made you decide on the Sailrite machine? Did you have any others like Consew, etc?

      I've only ever had domestics but when my business really started growing, I needed a machine that would keep up with the work. My husband did the research (Because I'm cheap and would have picked the cheapest machine lol) and found Sailrite. We both looked at what all she could sew through, and I saw how easy it was to be able to fix your own sewing machine. There had been times I had to take mine in and leave it and I was out of business. But this one I can fix myself. It was a no brainer.

    Remember to remove bobbin otherwise you can get thread stuck and jam your machine!

    How often do you oil your machine? By the amount of time that has passed or by # of hours sewn since the last oil change?

    • @faithwerksdesigns6197
      @faithwerksdesigns6197  Před 2 lety +1

      I try and oil my machine at least once a week, I should probably do it more since I use it so much but honestly I forget sometimes lol

    Where to do get your thread for the Sailrite machine?

    • @faithwerksdesigns6197
      @faithwerksdesigns6197  Před 2 lety +1

      I get most of mine from Sunny sewing machine but my variegated thread I get it from Wizardry stitchery. sunnysewingcenter.com/index.php/product-category/browse/thread/
