  • My journey through the French Alps. Part 1 is from Thonon-les-bains (Lake Geneva) to Les Saisies. The Route des Grandes Alpes is regarded as one of the most scenic motorcycle routes in Europe. I divided the journey into a few parts, check out the playlist. Enjoy.

    My all time favourite route, thanks for taking the trouble to do it justice rather than just showing just very brief highlights in one 20 min video.

    Nice trip, I’m the owner of a cub, I love this bike. It’s enemies are the uphills and front wind, but for me, always is a pleasure ride on it.

      125s are absolutely underrated for touring. I made a tour from Germany to Greece and back with my SH125 Mode.

    I came across your channel while searching Super Cub and have watched 5 videos so far. Your decision not to add music is a real bonus, letting me enjoy the sounds of the journey and superb scenery while the unobtrusive commentaries add just enough information. All this is topped off with really clear camera work. Thank you for a most enjoyable channel. Maybe you could source a dog box for your poodle so we can see him/her?

      Thanks so much. It's comments like yours that motivate me to share my Cub rides! I hope to finish the uploads of the whole tour before the end of this year. The final destination (Menton / Cote d'Azur) is a dream. And of course, one day our little poodle will be featured as well ;-)

    Very enjoyable. Take a selfie once in awhile so we know what our pilot looks like.

    I just discovered your channel last night and have subscribed. I really like your concept "Riding the Honda Super Cub. No background music. No talking. Some text." I really dislike riding videos that I call "Talk and Rides", where the rider wears a camera on his chin, or has a microphone near his mouth, and he talks constantly throughout the ride, sometimes about what he sees ahead, but mostly his thoughts for the moment, which I have no interest in hearing. Like you, I prefer the sound of the motorcycle. I started adding occasional music to my rides, and I think that was probably a mistake. I think I will return to your formula in my future riding videos. I'll also go back and watch all of your videos over the next few nights.. one a night most likely. Thanks for posting your video.. it is just the kind of riding videos I like best and your installation videos are similar to mine, letting the sound of the installation speak for itself.

    FOB-light might turn on when you accidentally press the button when the fob is in a pocket.

    • @yoshi125cc
      @yoshi125cc  Před měsícem

      Nothing else in my pocket. It's interference. The FOB's very weak signal gets easily distorted by many things: Power supply lines, high buildings etc...

    Another quick question if i may, do you live in France and if not what route did you use to get down to Thonon? Again thanks for the series, tempted to do something similar on my PCX for fun content on my own channel. :) Subbed.

    • @yoshi125cc
      @yoshi125cc  Před 9 dny +1

      Hello, no I don't live in France but right at the border in Germany. I departed from Weil am Rhein and took the Route straight through the Chasseral Natural Park (on a bad weather day...). Once I was done with that, I took the national road #1 in Switzerland from Murten to Lausanne. From there clockwise around lake Geneva to Thonon :-)

    That was excellent. Well done. How do think the Super Cub managed overall? Would you do it again? I rode my R1100R to Thonon from Belfast and did the same route in late July. I passed a guy on a Super Cub climbing Col de la Bonette and he looked like he was having a great time. Cheers

    • @yoshi125cc
      @yoshi125cc  Před 9 měsíci

      Thank you :-) The Cub managed like the perfect workhorse. Very economical, very easy handling but slow uphill. If time/speed is not of importance, the Cub is a bulletproof 125cc bike with nice options for carrying luggage. With 170cm body height, I needed breaks every ca. 2-3 hourse due to neck tension. I think I wouldn't recommend the bike unconditionally to people above 175cm body height, it might be too small. Definitely test ride. Cheers.
