  • Review part 1, the hardware and HeimVision App
A 3 Mega pixel UHD Security camera (2304*1296 resolution at ~15fps ) with motion detection, IR Night Vision with Floodlights, 2 way audio, Cloud or local storage for currently under $50 has to be a good deal right, well there are some small caveats,
    1. It is targeted for cloud based needing a paid subscription but you can use it locally only if you know how :)
    2. you need an online account to setup the camera (Mobile App)
if you want one for yourself

Hi. Thank you for the video review of this camera. I just wanted to know if there's an option to turn off the spotlight? Like if you don't want the spotlight to turn on when it detects a person's movement at night, because you might not want your neighbor who's just passing by at night and spotlight is turned on at him. Thanks for your reply.

Nothing I can see to just turn off the light but you can set an area to ignore so it will ignore passers by or people off to the side of view, thats the best I can find.

PLEase will someone do a teardown and reassemble, I had to take apart after someone ripped mine down and wiring inside git pulled off its little connector but I learned quickly there was more than one open spot that I could fit into, I need someone to show a photo even of the interior wiring before it's been taken all apart. Ide taken photos prior to me taking it apart but it doesn't help because the wire had already been pulled out or shaken so it'd disconnected before I even opened it. Please?!? I can't find anywhere online a simple interior diagram.

Also, I absolutely LOVE this camera, I don't care that it's older and wired, it's saved my life more than twice and I don't want to loose it,I can't afford to just buy another one. This is the best security camera I've owned.

Camera has poor connectivity even with Ethernet cable I tried

    4 subscriptions for 4 cameras
    Important to know:
HeimVision told me that you need a cloud service subscription per camera, which increases your subscription price by 4 if you have 4 cameras.

you only need subscription if you want to use the cloud storage facility, I have been using mine with a phone app for months now with no subscription, I also use BlueIris with no issues, its not cloud only (At least for the models I have reviewed)

@@TheBreadboardca Does Blue Iris is a kind of cloud system ?
Does Blue Iris neads a renewable annuel subscription ?
And does Blue Iris works with Apple devices like Iphones and Macbook Pro?
      Thank you..

@@ChristianMontmarquette BlueIris runs on a local machine, no cloud used at all. it runs on Windows. You can access it via browser as well as a local UI. It can be run as a service too if you want to do it . You can pay for support and upgrades but not essential that im aware of

I understand that Bleu Iris is a physical device for managing and storing surveillance cameras connected to the local domestic WiFi which, once purchased, does not require a monthly subscription and works with Window only.
Is there a system similar to Blue Iris that works with Apple devices?

      @TheBreadboardca  Před 3 lety

@@ChristianMontmarquette I am not sure, I dont use apple as a primary system so have had no cause to investigate this, try search "Alternative to Blue Iris for MAC" you will find plenty of things to investigate.

Just bought one. Regret it right away. Hard wired and I can't get the IP address off the router/ip scanners etc or via their interface.
    Garbage.

These are on the lower end of the scale regarding cameras and at the price, I did not hold high expectations, you are correct in that they dont register a host name on a DHCP server / router but you still should be able to find its MAC address and get to it with RTSP, I did this and also managed to hook it into BlueIris. You can download BlueIris demo and it will find all your cameras including this one (Or did in my experiance)
