- Happy New Year Guys!!! So since I'm keeping the new WJ, adding some tunes needed to be the next project on the list! I wanted to keep the OEM look, especially since I had a factory Jeep NAV unit so I made it possible to upgrade the WJ to Bluetooth while still keeping the factory fresh look! #jeep #grandcherokee #bluetooth #upgrade

Hey, what’s up, guys? I hope you enjoyed another project. Please remember that this video product is meant for entertainment purposes only and intended for people of driving age, and that is not “made for kids”. Also Please Keep in mind I am not a professional and I have no professional training so don’t try this at home. If you decide to modify or fix your own vehicle please keep it legal, roadworthy, and most importantly SAFE. Thanks for watching and I’ll see you on the next project! ✌ - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Dude nice fricken WJ I’m jealous man 😂 I gotta 2004 wj grand Cherokee Smokey mountain edition. Only fancy-ish thing I have is the sunroof… and it works!! 😂😂.
Nice job Dan.I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas...😁😁
Thanks Dan! You too! were on the road this Christmas. KY, AL, FL, NC. 4 kids, a wife and the Dog. Pray for me!!!!
(hope you got the sticker!)
@@ProjectDanHyes I did,much appreciated..
Nice idea and clean mod! I'm gonna try that on my 5.9 ZJ. Thanks.
the zj’s have a different internal working, there are a couple write ups on them though, and the radios are pretty modular. i bought a dedicated bluetooth board, and taped in in the radio. works great, and the radio knows when you’re playing bluetooth and turns the radio or cd or whatever off automatically!
@@sparkie5571 that's awesoms sparkie!
what about the fuses for the acc outputs ?? will they be overloaded when two or more things are plugged in ?? great setup for a WJ !!
Very interesting! If you have an aftermarket radio in your Jeep and want to do a similar mod you should have a USB port on the back you could run down for a wireless charging pad, loved the video very interesting and awesome to see a factor unit have Bluetooth!!!!!
Thank you! If you have a USB port in the back of your head unit it may be for audio purposes only if you want to do a fast charge I recommend you tapping into the 12 volt power of the Jeep like I did in the video. Thank you for watching God bless
I think WEFA WF606 would be more elegant solution if you want to keep factory unit. My self - I plan to upgrade to Android Auto unit, thats marketed as replacement to RB1/RB3 units. It has Carplay build in.
That's a great idea. I used what I had in stock. Lol
Im old so I got some of the parts to upgrade my 2000 wj with an after market nav radio with all the bells and the 10 disc changer, looks like im going in the wrong direction, lol. I love my cd collection , all 1000 + . O well. The wireless charging blows my mind.
Thanks for sharing, I still have my suitcase of old CDs but BT is just easier!
Super curious to if the heated seats function is still holding on ??
I just replaced it with a double-din Pioneer NEX CD unit with CarPlay. It works well with the factory amp and (with the adapter) steering wheel controls …and I gained a backup camera and hands-free voice interface. No wires cut or spliced because Crutchfield included everything I needed. I did have to modify the unit’s housing so I voided the warranty on day 1 but I refused to cut more of the Jeep than necessary and I risked it. The full range of benefit of the modern unit is well worth it. The OEM nav unit and changer are safely packed away in original condition to follow the Jeep to the next owner 👍
Bro That's Great! Send me the link to what you used. One day I may upgrade and you described exactly what I want. If I do, ill throw you a shout out. do you have my Instagram? @project_danh? hit me up
Will the stock speakers work with it?
Off topic: 1998 5.9 200K In and out good. $2500. If 4x works I think I'll get it. Anything I should look out for? Thanks.
do you know what company sells jeep zj amp bypasses for a 98
Good job Dan pity you can’t turn the volume up on the steering wheel but beggars can’t be choosers.😀👍
Tell me about it, maybe one day I'll upgrade the head unit but for now I'll deal with it. Lol
What happened to the three row Cherokee?????????
Hello Dan, a cordial greeting, Merry Christmas, I congratulate you on the videos, I am a fan of your channel, I want a question, what is the part number of the on-board computer where I can see the tire pressure and the part number of that player? What does your truck have... to put it on my truck... I have a wj overland year 2005... greetings from Venezuela... thank you
Hey brother Merry Christmas! Thank you so much for watching my videos. If your vehicle is a 2005 I'm not sure the parts I use in this video would fit your vehicle. The parts I use range from 1999-2004
@@ProjectDanH brother, mine is wj it applies everything to the 1999-2004 model here in Venezuela this model arrived in 2005 but in the rest of the countries it is a version up to 2004... it applies all the parts and pieces up to 2004...
@@jefferveloz02wow. You have the newest WJ in the world! EVIC is 56042756AG
And the nav unit is an RB1
@@ProjectDanH thanks brother
Hey Dan I have the 2004 wj with the rb1 head unit. How do I go about hooking up Sirius xm to it?
You need the serius module and serius wiring. Shouldn't be too hard
If I have a aftermarket head unit is there a way to run a aux from the back of that to a Bluetooth device
Yes if you have an aux input ( looks for a 3.5 mm jack).
How is beach Jeep coming along?
