    Nice video. I am going to put a monitor for my parcel box with a HX711 scale on ESPHome together. Great! Thanks

    Brilliant! I was about to embark on a similar project to track my 47kg Propane bottles. Do you think the load cells can handle that much weight?

    Nice work on the print! I have a KOMOS 4-Keg system, so there is very little room at the keg base once all kegs are in place. So I am thinking about making a completely flat surface to fit the bottom of the kegerator and make 4 "zones" under it for each keg. Still a though in progress, but I want something that will not move, I can slide kegs in and out and not have to deal with separate keg platforms.

    when I try and review the log file over wifi as per 17:36 of the video but I get "HX711 is not ready for new measurements yet!"
    When I check the logs via the scale being plugged in to the RaspberryPi I can see the logs values

    This is awesome! Unfortunately a little too big for my poor Ender3 v2. It's times like these I wish I was better at modeling so I could feel confident to find a way to split these parts into 4ths and create some sort of method to connect them. Guess I could always just go for the epoxy/glue route.... I may have another project on my hands haha

      I had the same issue with printer size. I created a remix on Thingiverse (sans the LEDs). All other components are the same. Happy printing :)

    Just finished building this, but my logs show 0 even when I put something on the scale.
    Any ideas?

      make sure and check your wiring and ensure it is all wired up properly.
      Also double check your code. Are you getting the output in the logs but it is just saying 0? Make sure you have not entered the filter section the same as mine. it could throw things off. Good luck.

    this is awesome. was looking for a way to monitor how much food is left in my automated cat feeder, so i know when its low since its out of sight where the dog cant get it. ordering the HX711s now! have you made part 2? I coudnt find it on your page.

    Good morning, congratulations on your project.
    I saw that the sensors are inside the freezer, does the temperature of the freezer or temperature change, causes weight variation in the load sensors? what size variation do you have?
    I did a similar project, but with the load cells under the kegerator and despite the load cells being at room temperature, I have a variation of about 200 grams more during the day and 200 less during the night due to lower temperature environment, is there any solution for this?

    • @misperry
      @misperry  Před rokem

      Hey there, I apologize for the late response. I have not seen a huge variation in it as of yet. I need to get part 2 out so I can show how I have built the calculations for measuring the fullness. But the way I am doing it has not produced a large error that would cause me to question. Plus I just need a ball park estimate of the fullness of the keg.

  • @shanebeasley8191

    Would you not be better setting I up as litres/gallons In Esphome instead of lbs? so it tells you how much liquid is in there.

    • @misperry
      @misperry  Před 2 lety +1

      yeah. you will see how I configure it in part 2, that I am still filling, I set it up as a % so that you don't have to worry about that at all. But yes you could set it up to convert the lb's into liters/gallons and I can show how in part 2.

    • @shanebeasley8191
      @shanebeasley8191 Před 2 lety
