It's a shame that Lab Zero Games has now permanently shut down. Both this game and Skullgirls were beautiful indie games Apparently, however, the same developers have started up a brand new studio called Future Club, so I cannot wait to see what they create there
I am planning to make my own plattaformer 2d game, and im just amazed by this game, a huge inspiration for mine, the art style its just perfect, and the story is also very strong

I love 2d games like this but games like these are are rare gem. I mean alot of pixelated games which some i do enjoy but something like this is rare. im thinking about getting it myself.
There are a little of really nice pixel art games and 2D games for sure! but like you said. some of them are truly hidden gems, that unfortunately don't get the attention they deserve. I hope you do pick it up[ and enjoy it as much as I do!
I learned about this game recently and I am ordering the physical game (I am set in my ways generally heh heh) for my Switch when I get payed tomorrow! I agree with others who said it’s disappointing Lab Zero have shut down. I hope the IP can be rescued and continue on!
I'm not sure if you herd what happened to the studio who made the game. But they were forced to shut down, meaning no more indivisible or anything else.

Recently beat the game, it was fun but it felt empty, i go into secret area's just to be rewarded with nothing, i expected more people to obtain for abilities or party members, or additional bosses but no, i love the game yea its better than say owl boy which was a whole lot of nothing but eye candy in my opinion but i just wish it was more polished and you know harder and rewarding?
How many party members did you end up unlocking, because there is quite a lot of different characters to unlock! I do agree that the game could be a little more challenging, especially later on ,there isn't really a reason to change what your doing, once you've found a combination that works.
@@SlickGaming1 i have 19 characters + main character and a dead dhar, new game + kinda got me bored and i beat the secret boss i didn't mind the game but i think it needs polishing.

@@NYCJoeBlack unfortunately the devs behind the game were dispended because there was a scandal, so they have moved to a new dev team now I'm pretty sure
The game is great, but apparently there were some issues with the management behind the scenes... Pretty much a case of something good, not being good enough....
The issues with Management were some extremely inappropriate things, completely irrelevant to the game. So the fact that the game still got no attention is a shame
@@SlickGaming1 i remember seeing some steam threads boycotting the game over that mess though... even if an issue is irrelevant, some people are influenced by those to avoid some games
And you are welcome to disagree. For me personally; Aside from the story and characters just turning me off completely? The "skill based" defense system was annoying as heck to deal with and made the game a chore. Took any fun I was having right out of the game. The battle system was almost tolerable until that point, if only because of the drought in Valkyrie profile style games. Speaking of... The overworld exploration seemed a bit extra too...:shrug:
Because it was an overly ambitious, heavily cut down, shallow and mediocre disappointment with lazy and cringeworthy writing that turned out into a sad joke after Lab Zero's debacle.
I actually disagree a little, I think the writing was a little lazy at times, but for the most part there was a solid reason for everything you did. Yes it dragged on a little long, sure, but I don't think the story is what let this game down

I hate the fact nobody talks about this game. I waited forever for it to be released and I love it. Literally nobody knows it existed.
Its a real shame. Because its beautiful art style, paired with a fun combat system and nice story. Shame the studio was shut down.
I also read there was supposed to be an animated series for this! The status for it is unknown, though. I hope it will get picked up!

That's awesome! I kind of whish I hadn't gotten lazy, because hard copies are so much cooler than owning a digital.
I was expecting collab characters are playable, guess the dream is dead after Mike Z ruined the fun

I wouldn't call it an indie game, its more of that middle ground between indie and triple A
