Loved the Butterfly Trail! Never saw an immersive art installation like it. I always thought you could turn a chateau into a destination by making them into an immersive sculptural art experience. Use sculpture that is designed to be touched - moved - manipulated - makes bell sounds - spins in the wind - slinkies, etc. Think "marionettes" or "windup toys" "pop-up books" or "Meow Wolf." Don't sell de la Ferte (sniff sniff)!

Thank you, this is really a great surprise, I do miss London, do miss my yearly trips to London, alway stay in London when visiting my friends, did that for many years, until 2018, because I had to care for my family, and then the lockdowns came….so this is so wonderful, thank you Carole and Adriaan.

Thanks for this nostalgic treat! My brother lives on the Thames, so when visiting never tire of walking through these areas full of historic buildings. Last time I had brunch at St Katherine’s dock, we sat next to the queen’s highly decorated and guilded barge being spruced up, as just after her death. Seeing this makes me want to go back now.. followed by a trip to France!!

I love London! I miss London! An hour saunter is like a Time Machine. From the museum of London to the Eye to the British museum to a noodle bar, from Southwick Cathedral to the theatre district, fish n chips to a proper English Tea. Oh how I miss London!
I was in London for 2 and half days the first of July. We mostly took the subways and then took a train to Paris for 2 and half days. Wish we could have stayed longer but traveling with other people who had to be back to the US to work. Wonderful time in both places.

The last time I was in London it was in the late 1980's. It looks so futuristic now. One would expect to see flying cars swooshing by. Crazy how different it looks.

Brings back many memories for me. Took my family over in December 2018 before heading off to see all our uk family for Xmas. Stay right in the middle of covenant garden. Kids had never been to London before that. I worked there for 6 years in my 20’s. As born Aussie but raised in England. Came back to Australia in my 30’s to give my kids an opportunity to live a different life.
I still love London but would never live there again. Loved are time back in Worcester and then Lake District onto York then to Edinburgh. Then our last week in Paris before flying back to Aus. The buildings and pubs is what I love. Great to see you both enjoying life. As normally always busy 🙌💕

Love London-we were just there before Halloween. All the old buildings and history are incomparable. We love walking in the old lanes of The City on the weekend when they’re almost deserted. Gorgeous weather for your visit! Yes to Costa Coffee!!! ❤

Adrian, I can't agree more about modern architecture, in historic cities! Although Ihave yet to make it to London, or get beyond Charles DG., I"ve been to many cities in Germany and it sucks to see all that modern in 500-1,000 year old cities!!!

There are so many new buildings that weren't there when I lived in London. I love St Catherine's dock too - I have fond memories. And I was outside The Ivy for year 2000 fireworks - that was amazing.

Such a cool tour of London! Love the bench you were sitting on in the cafe. I love those pods, we have a few around where I live, but haven't had a chance to try one yet. The butterfly place is cool but loud, so I would never be able to sit without loosing my mind🤣 I so want to go mudlarking after reading about it in a book but I just saw a video on Instagram that said you have to have a permit and all of those are already gone (but I am really not a fan of stinky river mud, just the thought of finding something is cool).
I follow Si-finds on here. It's amazing what he finds in the muck.

I thought there were gardens at Covent Garden, I never looked it up, really. I've never been to London, I only read the name in books. I think it's the same as Jardins in São Paulo, which is a junction of four rich "Jardim" neighborhoods. They were conceived as rich neighborhoods and continued to be rich. There you find the best restaurants, shops, etc.

@ yes, it is and I would come in a heartbeat or a working vacation. I am really good at wallpapering and painting and even sewing but nowhere near as good as Carole! And then she gets dressed up for some of the videos and she is more beautiful than any member of the worthless “ Royal family “ She should be Queen, seriously. Diana was the most beautiful woman the British monarchy has ever seen. I'm serious about this, I will help you with whatever I am able to do including filming and I'm getting ready for an online class in editing AND who doesn't love chocolate and and defiantly wouldn't require anywhere near the physical labor you have been providing to it. I bet Carole is an outstanding cook as well and with her incredibly great taste we could come up with irresistible packaging and I can help with marketing and shipping. I know that you work harder on the house than the work you do in England but we can change that. We create a small group of people willing to volunteer their time, expertise, and manual labor, and trade schools have sent armies of students to learn how to be a builder, then you can become the teacher as your building skills are off the charts and there comes a time in life when we simply cannot provide our physical labor, but we can pass on our experience as teachers. Not school teachers but specialty teachers like us. I retired from international horsemanship before I became an actor and I'm not getting on any horse that has not been expertly trained these days because it would be foolish, so I passed on my experience in creating, quiet and happy horses for riders to enjoy not survive as its a very risky sport, to begin with, and nothing feels better than knowing you have taught others how to create happy, healthy, sound and sane horses to the young people. With the equipment you have compiled over the years, everything you have so much knowledge to share. I am 66 years old and the time comes in each life when we have to learn to work smarter, not harder Again, you deserve to retire and drink champagne in the garden because you only have to pass on your knowledge to the new generations of young men and women who also want to become excellent builders and they couldn't find a teacher anywhere near better than you. It's pretty funny I am still a total stranger to you but I am mad about the craftsmanship the world used to have, even here in America, I belong to several Facebook groups of other people who buy and then completely restore old houses, farms, and the like. Abode is the CZcams channel where I have been learning what I'm speaking of regarding establishing revenue for once breathtaking chateaus to keep them alive for future generations. Because of Caroler's great taste, I have images in my head of white satin packaging with elegant bows containing awesome chocolate and stamping each box with the Chateau name and bam, a candy business that will never require any of you to even leave the chateau because you can keep it a small business or businesses because obviously you can get a minimum of ten thousand dollars per wedding.
