  • Week 15 of the Improbability Archive takes us back to 2005, when Rough Magic first commissioned the play. The world premiere was staged in Project Arts Centre before a run in London’s Soho Theatre.
The play was nominated for multiple awards, winning the Susan Smith Blackburn award.
Set in Dublin in 1850 among the Quaker community, the play is as relevant today as it was in 2005. It’s subtle and complex, asking the question: if your wealth is built on exploitation, can it be used to build a better world?
