This track is from DT's first proper Black Metal album A Blaze In The Northern Sky. This album is full of great tracks but this one is my favorite. A perfect blend of Celtic Frost, Sabbath, crusty punk and Norwegian BM. Fenriz's skills behind the kit are not to be underestimated. Amazingly. Fenriz was just 20 years old then. Ted was 18 or 19! Most boys are wanking and reading comics then. It's pure genius to deliver this as opening track on your 2nd album, for a label that is expecting (technical) Scandinavian death metal. This attitude and move by DT will forever deserve my deepest respect. When this came out in 1992 we (punks back then) couldn't believe this was the same band as Soulside. This was an amazing mixture between Hellhammer, Amebix, Autopsy and Prophecy of doom. Fuck yeah!
