Is this the same method for Heather plants?
I would like to replace mine as all mine are bare in the center and woody; They were beautiful and nicely mounded until I brought home two cute golden doodles (Abby & Lucy) they think it is their flower 🛌 bed and people watch. Have had neighbors even take pictures of them with their phones.
Just got our backyard fence done and I am sure they will find a new flower bed I will have to replace. For now I enjoy them and the opportunity to get photos of them loving the flowers as much as I do. 😊

New subscriber here! I'm just wondering what "tidy up the heel" means. Did you want part of where that stem attached? Or do you make a fresh cut below the node? What part is "safe" to tidy up?

Hi, just make a clean cut through the end of the node where it separates from the stem. This reduces the likelihood of rot setting in.

How do you fertilize your lavender? Thank you

We use a high potash contolled release fertiliser in the compost. You could use a foliar feed with similar properties. The main source of food is the sun though, so plenty of sunshine 🌞
