Can't wait to see Andy dress up a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for Mitch.
Not really a thing outside the US.
â@@cv990a4 yes, yes it is... It's just called jam, not jelly outside the US.
â@@cv990a4 i'm a Turk and sometimes i eat pb&j for breakfast or a midnight snack :D

@Young Turk, niiiice! Buuut not as awesome as peanut butter and Nutella!! That combo is absolutely Divine!!! đ€€
That subtle joke about cilantro tasting like soap to some people was the best.
I'm a certified mental patient and love cilantro... I'm convinced all humans aren't the same.. humans.
@@gloriatobias6216 bro what đ
â@@tinsonlee5728He did say hes a mental patient lmao
@@gloriatobias6216 I agree. Cilantro is one of the greatest herbs we have.
Not exactly sure what soap tastes like, but I'm not a fan of eating it. Cilantro I LOVE!
I'll never get tired of the, "basic mitch." it gets me everytime đ
No worries he evens it out with basic beech
same, proper tickles me đ
Defo needs to be on a teeđ€Ł
For someone who also is a cilantro=soap guy, I felt so seen by Mitchâs comment, and also appreciated Andy serving it as a whole garnish so Mitch could take it off đ
To me, coriander tastes like the smell of stink bugs đ
I think there a biological marker for it. Like 10% of people taste coriander as soap
And it is absolutely disgusting had a sandwich with some in once didn't know it was in there yuck.
@@michaelellams9105 Bahn Mi probably? I love those
That soap taste can ruin the whole meal for me. I just canât eat cilantro and it makes me sad since there are so many dishes with it that look delicious . đą
You canât beat a chicken curry! đ
Agreed âș
@@dustin7664 Thats a chicken curry

âWhatâs with the soap?â đ
LOL! Same.đ€ą
Same! Tastes exactly like dish soap to me.
Yeah nice one, gets 50% of the population I'd reckon. đ
It's genetic. Depending on the country, for about 10 % of people cilantro tastes like soap. They share a smell receptor gene called OR6A2. For all the other people, cilantro tastes like a fresh herb.
I bought some fresh cilantro last week and for the first time in years it smelled like the cilantro that my Pakistani neighbors grew in their garden. Maybe it was because it was a bit more mature and sold with the root intact. It was delicious in my curry.
Sometimes we have to realize that we are Mitch instead of Babe. And that's okay.
He only wants basic dishes because he'd rather you spend time with him, that's a proper bloke đ„ș
nah it just hurts your feelings doing some light banter, they arent as soft as you
As an Indian, chicken curry is actually basic... Basically delicious!
That is not even the Indian one

We really need a "Basic Mitch" compilation đ.
Why? Thats legit him saying the same two words over and over again
No, we donât need that.

"what's with the soap" was very relatable
For people in Texas "the soap" is cilantro. To Mitch cilantro tastes like soap, Mitch doesn't have the cilantro gene.
ââ@@theresahenderson3534 pretty sure he HAS a gene which allows him to taste/smell the compound in cilantro/coriander that tastes like soap. I taste it as well. If you have that gene you can't taste it.
Mitch is living the life that I want.
Basic Mitch gets me every time
The "what's this soap?" killed me. I too lost the genetic lottery with cilantro/coriander.
if it makes you feel better I don't have that gene and still don't really care for cilantro. I don't dislike it, but I really can't taste it in anything
How do I know if I have the gene or if cilantro taste like shit to me too but Iâve always known it tasting that way so Iâm fine with it? Iâm confused
â@@kielbasaa9796 I find cilantro delicious or nauseating one every two times. The gene explanation probably doesn't cover everything. Maybe it's soil, maybe it's growth, but sometimes your cilantro simply taste unpleasant.
I hate beets. They taste like dirt to me and I found out just recently that, like cilantro, it's a genetic thing. For some people beets really do taste like dirt.
@@MauiWowieOwiethatâs not possible, if you have the gene you can enjoy the magnificent fragrance & taste of cilantro, & if you donât, have fun eating soap.
"Basic Mitch..." I always chuckle when you call Mitch out. Many of us have friends who fit the description! â€đđ
Andy: Basic Mitch!!!
đ đ đ
Mitch is always basic. He can never be acidic.
First time I am actually watching someone add beans to a chicken curry ... I have never seen beans in a chicken curry
Haha ⊠same here except for a korma , maybe . Found this strange .
Well strange or not somehow you need to eat your vegetables
Thai curries have green beans in them đ€·đ»ââïž
Beans will ruin it
And no tomatoes. Not many whole spices either.
Mitch is hilarious
I love how know matter what mitch says, hes always basic Mitchđâ€
More cayenne, garam masala, cumin and coconut milk :)
I always forget they use some Cockney rhyming slang in Australia too đ in England with a lot of them we donât say the word that actually rhymes so itâs just Ruby

Wow Andy basically can cook anything â€â€
Mitch is my spirit animal
The term âChicken Curryâ is ambiguous. No hate. Andy knows what heâs doing. Us Asians all have our own variation of Chicken Curry. Either way, looks great!
In indonesia we have Sate Padang.
What type did he make do u know?
@@hazelmint6671 Chicken curry
No matter what Mitch wants it's...BASIC!!!
I like how he just threw out that green thing at the end xD
It's cilantro. An herb that to some tastes like soap. It's embedded in your genes. You either like it or absolutely hate it. For me it's like biting into a bar of soap.. Can't stand that stuff
That's coriander and it tastes like detergent for some people, me included
@@TraianNitu I actually like coriander, it has a minty flavor.

Basic Mitch is back at it, and I'll never get tired of seeing Basic Mitch asking for basic dishes
Good stuff đ đ đ
We like basic Mitch he asks for the good shit.
I feel Mitch's pain. It tastes like soap to me too.
Fun fact on average 15 percent of the worlds population taste a soap taste but the rest taste a citrus flavor. I feel bad for those who can't taste the citrus. It really is good.
yea cilantro is the bomb but i guess itâs an acquired taste
@@noe_is_me Itâs not even an acquired taste, people are just genetically predisposed to taste it one way or the other.
Yeah I just hate that there are so many foods mostly Asian and Mexican that I can't stand because of it.
I know I can use parsley as a substitute but I can't eat that much in the restaurants
Yeah itâs horrible, and itâs insane how so little of it can make everything taste like soap
