The 'Little Freak with the glasses that's made of hair ' is called Cousin IT! The Octopus bag is likely a reference to her brother Pugsly's pet Octopus.

They really captured Morticias **essence** with the face sculpt, she looks so regal and elegant and kinda evil.

You should watch the original Addams Family tv show from the '60s. It has its own channel on Pluto, which is free to watch. Fun fact: the show's set was brightly colored with lots of pinks because at the time color tv didn't exist so they had to make sure everything stood out as the show was broadcast in black and white.

I’ve definitely noticed in the newer G1 dolls they’re using this weird, almost translucent-esque plastic on the heads of them all. It’s present here, on Operetta, The Creature, and Lenore (but she is a ghost so…). Regardless, this choice of plastic seems to wash out facial features. Think about the same plastic used on Sirena Von Boo - you can barely see her nose.
The Octopus bag is a reference to a family pet they've had over the years. It's had different names over its various incarnations. This particular one is most likely the one from the 2019 movie, Socrates, as he's Wednesday's pet.
And yes, rose pruning is a Morticia thing. She cuts the roses off and makes bouquets of the thorny stems.

I really don’t care for Wednesdays face screening personally it looks weird to me. Plus the lip color isnt my favorite. Morticia is pretty though

She usually trims roses but they're usually black roses and she cuts the top off of them.

I definitely want this set ! Im nervous, I've never got a collector doll at release time. Hope i know how to do it. I do like both dolls & the classic references. I don't care so much about the Netflix series dolls, but we'll see what they look like.

I've definitely become really selective with monster high in general. I got nightmare before Christmas and I'm gonna try for the Adams and wednesday dolls. But at least I didn't get the other dolls like the Fang Votes and other collector ones.

The biggest difference I see between Wednesday's prototype and the official doll is the eyes being further apart and the eyebrows being lower and closer to her eyes (prototype). Meanwhile the official one her eyes are too close together and the eyebrows not as close to the eyes and that changes the face a lot. Wednesday is supposed to have quite a big forehead and in the prototype you can see they did great
I can't wait for these!!! I love Wednesday's face and her purse 👛. I was confused at first as to why she was carrying an octopus 🐙 but I get it now!!!
I also love the shoes I am happy they didn't make them all black. That would have been boring ❤

After saving for weeks for the Creature, it feels kinda shitty for Mattel to release this so close, i guess they be needing money 🤣But the dolls are super pretty in my opinion, the details are super nice, i just hope the second hand price is not crazy for these 🙃

I need them in my collection ! I find them stunning ! I still have a preference for Morticia but I think they go perfectly well together, and the little details on each are great in my opinion. Unfortunately I am a member for the barbie signature club and not the fang club, so whether I pay the extra 10$ for more safety or I try my luck on the next day with non-members, as I probably won't have any use for a year's subscription anyway, hoping to get my set ... decisions, decisions 😭

These are beautiful, especially Morticia. If Mattel ever decides to bring back EAH characters but only as a collector's level such as this, I can picture a 2-pack set with Raven and her mother or Kitty and her Chesire mom. Anyway, it sucks that Mattel released them so soon after the Lagoon Creature. My wallet is going to die an early death at this rate.

I wish they paid more homage to the 1964 black and white series. Morticia looks fine, she doesn't look much like Angelica Huston, Carolyn Jones, OR Catherine Zeta-Jones, and she REALLY doesn't look like the 2019 animated version voiced by Charlize Theron. I think she needs deeper cheekbones to fit what I think of as Morticia. Wednesday...I get she's supposed to be younger, but she looks bugeyed, and her eyebrows seem too low. Looking at her, she reminds me a LOT of Astranova, so, I think that might be her face sculpt. Funnily enough, I think the roundness of her face is VERY reminiscent of Christina Ricci and Lisa Loring's portrayals of the character, it's just her eyes that are off.

I am not surprised this year's fangvote outsold last year's that hard, the previous one was just ok. It had alot of details but it didnt look cohesive

As a modern MH defender I can’t with these dolls they just don’t look good (Wednesday can see from Sunday to Saturday with those eyes) and are released way to close to Creature

I only have gripes with Wednesday's sleeves. The material doesn't help it stand out. All in all, They look nice, but why release it so close to the last Skullector?

There's just a lot of questionable design choices, in my opinion, like mortcia having green heels with an all black outfit it just sticks out even in box and Wednesday's heels why is her heel thing and a random relative(?) Of hers,thing should have been an accessory and her heels guillotines or something, and they could have used the hair from the 1st animated movie with the noose ends for Wednesday.
