I have been looking forward to this game since I played the early previews many moons ago we are going to be smashing out a full let's play on this fella I am not sure what is going to be in store for us but I'm sure we will manage to survive!
No recording schedule for release as this is a 2nd channel series however If I have spare time I will be recording and playing this game so will aim for daily but do not count on it life finds a way to mess stuff up XD

Had similar experience with my 155mm arty managing to kill 4 sprinting revs with a single shot right as they charged my infantry. Earned the crew nickname "Cratermaker".
Been enjoying your "Realistic" play-through. Have watched many Streamers doing the non-strategic Click/Drag Attack type play-style, then complain about loses, no Army left with which to advance the campaign, due to horrific loses, etc. etc. Then blame the Game... aaarrrgh...:(
Your use of actual "strategies" as per the RTS game type is quite FUN to watch. It seems to work well, when you care for your troops, also as noted by how Large your Army keeps getting. ;)
Slitherine seems to have a knack for making fun Games. I have played many of them over the years and will likely buy (decently priced per usual) and play this one after your play-through is complete.
Also, in closing, I appreciate your situational humor, and honesty when it was "YOU" that was the cause, (it happens to the best of us LOL! ) based on some of the absolutely crazy stuff that always happens in games of this type.
Keep after it and I look forward to the upcoming weekend and the copious amount of game-play it will allow you to provide your viewers who are also rabid gamer's at heart.

the only problem i really have with the game is how the game handles building assaults the storm the building refuse to use there guns and start throwing hands in 1 vs 1 battles
Man its so annoying when someone bashes a game you love for the fact that it plays diffrentyl then the rest and they just cant get it.
Yea there are a lot of just weak players used to starcraft style games with expendables units. Crying about everything in this game lol.

If you give plasma rifles to your militia guys, they can do wonders clearing and holding positions, which allow to go after the next objectives with your founders/mercenaries.
This really reminds me an old game "Act of war: High Treason", might be good to start a new series with that game after this one :)

Yeah, I trained both my ATGM squads to carry SAM's as well, I was so stoked when aircraft showed up, right up until I worked out that Legion aircraft have LOADS of chaff...My SAM's were way less deadly than I'd hoped. Edit. I foolishly thought that my SAM's would be enough. I tried again, but gave them some backup this time. Turns out that my trailer with the Vulcan cannon on it is also good at anti air. Shot down both Legion aircraft and the last 2 cartel commanders had to grab vehicles to try to escape. Didn't go so well for them.
Meanwhile my "non-air capable" ATGM squad was just hanging around near the landing point and slapped both HKs from the sky without them using any chaff. I hope SAMs are at least faster missiles so my other squad has some use for their extra luggage.

Man, the helicopter is the most fun unit to use on this game. But jesus Christ does it eats fuel and supplies.
It saved the day at least twice in this mission so i would say that its well worth it

If you press on the ammo/gun tab you can turn off the gun perfect if you want you unit to stop shoting like what happend to the jeep you wanted
yeh we use that quite often in the videos but it was a bit quick to stop that one
I kind of wish there was a button that would tell your vehicles and certain infantry like rangers, mercs, and snipers could be toggled to a decrew option where you do less damage overall but you could kill the crew driving but it really only works on very light armored vehicles (so like humvees and pickups) and the armor upgrades make them really hard to decrew whereas vehicles can shoot out tires to immobilize and then shoot the drivers or carefully set fire to it with a special incendiary weapon or ammo. Would give the game some nice counter play but would be useless when you get back to fighting legion
Or use emp grenades to disable the vehicle.
Just a tip, take it or leave it. I highly recommend making your TOW equipped units unable to fire the weapon freely. They will use them to kill solo terminators, which is a terrible waste. Just unclick the Tow when you really need it for something REALLY dangerous.
Do use smoke grenades to cover your troops while moving in enemy line of fire, and use them to cover repositioning. And bring a Stryker or Bradley for armoured infantry support instead of grouping all of them together and leaving the main infantry assault group vulnerable, also they can deploy three smoke grenades at once. Stryker can also resupply ammo to infantry.
Btw, when you change unit's weapon, all leftover ammo goes back in yous supply pool

Hey i got a couple if theories about why legion are taking prisoners. Let me hear your thoughts on them!
Hypothesis 1: Legion are taking prisoners for more in depth experimentation on the human psychology in order to hunt the rest down more effectively.
Hypothesis 2: Maybe legion are trying to make a new weapon being cyborgs combining human capabilities with the power of technology in a symbiotic way.
Hypothesis 3: What if legion are trying to make machines disguised as humans like the T1000 from that one terminator movie.

Pretty awesome even your extra "casual channel" is doing great, but yeah take care of yourself as well.
For some reason my ATGM squad without SAM capability managed to swat down both flyers and they didn't even use any chaff as defence. And for some other reason cartel tanks love to shoot AP shells at infantry if HE is forbidden.
First, liking your content on Terminator DFD, second probably this game is takes a lot of time to record each episode, but, there this game that could be of your liking, Phantom Brigade

Also, i highly recommend that you armor up the Bradley's or the 2 Strykers that you have, (thats if you captured the styker at the vehicle repair base in this mission)

i believe the building strength is a lot more about splash damage, so even though the roofs are still vulnerable to gun fire grenades and rockets still do the 80% or whatever the amount is less damage
its pretty insane how easy you make that game look, i dont think you've missed any side objectives which looks like torture on that difficulty 😆

Tip: try to recover all vehicles for sale them at the en of the battle

HEMTT trucks are rather good. They can both carry supplies as well as tow trailers.
surface to air missiles are useless against legion air units...they just drop some flares and thats it...your best chance is spam them with heavy MG and plasma.
I don't know how line of sight work in this game but that mercenary squad shooting grenade launcher without line of sight is absurd. If LOS work like that those shortgun squads are almost waste of space and supplies.
It seems you got hive mind los though the shotgun guys come with c4 might be handy
A shame there is not an auto loot for all the weapons laid on the battlefield, it's tedious to micro what weapon to loot or not.
100% would love that or at least a way that highlights them on the mini map

If the plasma guns on the vics r no good for buildings and cover. Give those vics a secondary weapon to deal with the cover better.
I know it's been 4 months but that HEAT shell to the fence really bothers me should have switched to APFSDS to shoot through walls and windows
i noticed that the massive tractors had 2000 replacement parts vs the trucks had 800 soo not sure if you saw that means they can repair longer and def more if you happen too notice this comment let me know what you think
They also cost 2000 supplies a day you could get a Stryker for around that
i hate it when tasks in games have time limit.
I wonder if it's possible to beat this on REALISTIC but without laser and plasma. Or is it impossible due to balancing?
Allies are propably the worst part of this game, they steal your vechicles, give away your position when you try to set an ambush(it would fail anyway with how bad unit controls are), and kill captured legion tech.
I think one of the main issues with the game at the moment aside from quality of life stuff, is the strength of buildings themselves.... a regular house can eat like 40 RPGs before a wall drops.... that and the lack of variety of weapons at your disposal in comparison to the lore

Can you add armor and mini gun to helicopter? Rocket pods seems inaccurate.
No idea perhaps there is a founder helicopter
the targeting system got damaged by a sniper so it was more inaccurate than usual the entire mission
