I have been looking forward to this game since I played the early previews many moons ago we are going to be smashing out a full let's play on this fella I am not sure what is going to be in store for us but I'm sure we will manage to survive!
No recording schedule for release as this is a 2nd channel series however If I have spare time I will be recording and playing this game so will aim for daily but do not count on it life finds a way to mess stuff up XD

When you jumped those sharpshooters in the back of the bradley which only had ammo for its small gun and a few rounds for the big one in the middle of the video and charged the artillery I thought you were mad!!
But then it took out the technical with its last few rounds, you positioned it to defend the sharpshooters as it disabled and captured that artillery and WOW !!!

Mad respect for trying the game on Realistic difficulty. I'm playing it on hard(50% damage) and this mission broke my conviction to not savescumming. Even taking into account that I don't like to use the pause function much, in my opinion, New Tortuga is too hard without any pre-knowledge about what happens in the mission.
New Tortuga is very random one you could do it without loading saves even with the best gear you could still die in a 2nd so yeh i understand having to move away from it.
I'm playing the game on story, and this mission also broke my conviction to roll with the blows. First time playing I killed 600+ people and lost my abrams. restarted, killed 400+ and only lost the stryker, which did hurt

Piece of advice, turn off gun on all of your light Howi. While they are major help against group of Terminator, in scenario like this and most of the time, they just shoot at any enemy come into their range, even if it is a single dog unit. It both waste ammo that you need to resupply and risk friendly fire.
I love watching this series. it probably takes me as long to watch an episode as you need to play it, but its great. whenever there's some time, more chaos happens :D
I had a lot of fun with this one. If you find the Guerillas near the firing range being used as target practice by the cartel, you can free them and then literally run rampant with their C4. They can access everywhere apart from the mayors compound (but you can access that if you've got the tank controller. The legion tank is crap so I wouldn't bother using it in combat, just use it to gain access then have your guerillas C4 everything)
I went straight down the middle, in the final battle, and my GOD was it brutal. 37 men lost and 3 vehicles. This mission is INSANE.

I wish you vould have gotten more of the humvees, but understand that its difficult to force them to dismount.
Some of them looked like they'd be damaged enough for the AI to dismount but it didn't until the fatal shot that destroyed it.
Heard they have a sherman in the North corner of the maps but not sure. I do look forward to seeing what you have looted from this battle
yea trying to make enemy dismount you need to use a 50 cal or use the terrain and use grenades'
It is a shame as I could sell them all for points but scavenged what i can
in realistic i think is really hard to bet a squad into doing this stuff...

I found this to be more fun to watch you play than actually playing the game. It's so chaotic at times, I just felt overwhelmed trying to coordinate so many troops. I might continue to try again, but thinking I should start over as I'm at this mission but rather depleted.
In fact, most infantrymen will be meat shields after entering the building, responsible for maintaining the front line. You only need to operate some important units, such as tanks.

That Integrator arty at the end... sorry Movement boys lol. Thanks to you, I got the game as well and just finished this pain of a mission. I think especially buildings seem to bug out quite often, literal invulnerable dudes who do not even react or attack. Same with my own guys, they needed to be told to shoot despite being on guard mode (using ambush mode at times bugged out?).
A bit buggy, very straining and painfully unfair but still a fun game. Thanks for the epic showcase.

yeah bro... seeing someone play is different if you play it your self... is a micro nightmare on realistic because your units are made of paper.
It's really interesting to see the different outcomes of this mission and it's side objectives. :) Mine turned out completely different. Thanks for the Upload, it's great to see having still fun playing on the highest difficulty

I didn't upload the virus on the Legion-Trophy-Units, so Miguel didn't suspect me. I took the Helicopter the sneaky way and in the end miguel released prisoners from the building down south and i could rescue them. But the main fight with your reinforcements was waaaaay harder. Also because i did miss the opportunity to have a drink :D
I, for example, did this a little different...which means a lot slower :) Of course I did this mission before and wasnt first time. Before I uploaded virus and hacked bot in arena I took all unmanned vehicles - with 3 drivers we get, and I took them all to rebel spot, about 9 vehicles. After that came arena part, and then i sent Church to guard entrance to rebels and Mason near unmanned tank at gate to major part of town. After virus uploaded (ofc I took integrater tank remote before), Mason took unmanned tank and defended a little rebel base. Next part was Mason and Church clearing all the way till major. Then I gave weapons to rebels and mission started. This way u can focus more on primary fight and not timer u get to stop major. This was just my way :) Cheers

1:08:04 That's called CQC. Some infantry units have a higher CQC skill than others.
This mission was so damn crazy that once I completed it, i pressed continue or something and it loaded me back the the auto save of me retaking the prison. Now I have to assault the cartel base with the ATGM and 2 howitzers all over again!

46:40 I think that units are programmed to move closer until they can see the enemy. Regardless if its a range issue or a line of sight issue. So you probably should clear LOS manually for units.

This mission I have to say is my favorite. Yes it is a struggle but I really figured out alot when it comes to unit types.
My Founder INF are my hardcore troops along with Rangers and Guerillas, and my Militia are my meatshields for them and my vehicles. Just simply run them up while providing support and when they come under fire, drop them in prone or seek shelter, support will do the rest on engaging hostiles.
Some micromanaging is needed but I am quite attached to those guys. I try to keep four militia teams in my Army Composition
You can select a building (or several at once) with squads inside and give them attack order by one click. It's absolutely same as you select each squad and give separate attack order.
It is much more convenient to give an order to leave a building (or move to another building) by selecting a building and using the Deploy order. There is no need to select every squad if you need to order everyone.
Hueys, wooooo now thats gonna be FUN to use if we get some pilots. It is kinda Stupid that you can't give your "Driver" squads the ability to drive Tanks or become Pilots but i guess someone needs to drive all the Supply trucks and Light Vehicles.
You cleared that building using the classic "kick 'em in the nuts till they die" tactic. 1:08:00

I’m 12 hours into the game, and still at the outskirts of Santa Fe. The convoy mission. I got tired of reloading saves, so retarted the campaign on lower difficulty. Supplies last more than twice as long, damage reduced to normal. It’s much better than reloading over and over to get the best outcome. I used to love “challenging” myself in games, but if it comes down to just savescum it’s not really challenging, more so a chore to play a game. I play games to have fun, not as a chore and get frustrated.
In fact, the easy difficulty level is similar to that of Company of Heroes. Wait until they perfect encounters and multiplayer

I’m enjoying the rogue like to it and management of a small army and their kits more than the setting or “story”.

LOL!, your units have shotguns yet they when they assault buildings they just MELEE the Enemy! Edit: i want to say the cartel "tank" is a Puma or something. Reminds me of one.
Oh ...standing up and moving about while getting shot at is suicidal. Stay small and shoot back from cover or concealment is the standard tactic for that. Have your troops do that more often, move when not getting shot, distract with 1 unit, flank with another.
There is no cover system outside buildings such a thing is possible to use on mass in men of war for instance not so much in this game. concealment normally only works if a unit is garrisoned in a building as a unit approaches
I think putting your heavy weapons on ambush may have messed with them firing. I think ambush makes each individual model in the unit fire separately (only one model may be firing but the rest still hide)
There was a third ammo truck. It got blown up from the looks of it :(

Arti is the way on realistic... like.. it is realistic way of fighting... you would deploy arti to kill from far and scout as max as you can... this game gets it.
great video but you forgot about the tank you stole from the integrators.
it is ai controlled and was in the middle of there base it was destroyed almost instantly nothing could of been done

The cameras sharp deceleration is making me nauseous. Had the same problem with XCOM 2. I really dislike this "sharp" style of camera movement.
if you click the building in the bottom right there is a button to move units to the side of the building you click

I like your video's to a point only annoying to watch is the over use of tactical pause. When units are fighting boom pasue hmm but overall great watch!.
Without playing i guess its hard to see how hard the game is a single missed enemy can kill multiple squads in seconds so its way better to be fully aware at all times. (from a guy that spent 6 hours on 1 mission)

I find it odd that buildings in this game can protect you from tanks and artillery. I feel like if a building got hit by a 120mm shell, it would just collapse (especially since these are houses and warhouses, not military structures).
Idk about american architecture but those "commie blocks" in ukraine hold up quite well against tank shells and artillery, buildings can be suprisingly tough, although the ones here have already been through a lot, so 155mm HE should probably be more effective, but 120mm HEAT doesn't seem like an ideal choice for leveling a building

I had so much trouble with this mission, I even captured 2 cartel tanks, I had 3 tanks, but I just kept on loosing important units on the lowest difficulty, perhaps I am just bad at game xd
you need to micro more, pause more... there is no shame in it...

Hey what happened to the Integrator tank that you got the remote with?
There was a huge battle with the integrators cartel and virus bots they probably all killed each other as my tank was in the middle of it
Also, I hope you will return to Taos to meet with the Integrator, they do have lots of advanced tech and plasma weapons for infantry and vehicle uses.
it is 7 days away with the supply consumption it would be impossible
are they going to release more missions or did i do something or maybe a bug because i completed the cartel mission and after that it backed me out to the main menu

This is definitely a bug. It doesn't always happen. Already fixed in open beta patch.

@@ThreatXtra not all of them are bad some are good some are bad like all heroes must survive or save the rangers and find all the missing founders team And capture the terminator facility in Oklahoma city to make terminators for you,just don't do those that are in your opinion not good to get like kill the integrators faction ( you can have really good relationships with them for achievements as well).
@@ThreatXtra you must check them all later on so you get useful information like gathering all help for final mission execute the leader of vega and recruiting his son and all heroes must survive till the end and you visit all points AND you can get a railgun too

I think This guy is new at RTSs. missing Basic mechanics of the game. The Stryker is used to bring your troops that are high in CQB to a building to then have the CQB troops to clear the building. Hence why it has smoke...... You are doing it the hardest way possible. You should know this when you clearly played all these missions before.
assaulting a building is generally a terrible idea in realistic mode you would end up with the units being combat ineffective for the rest of the mission I only reserve it if the enemy forces are light
@@ThreatXtra I agree with that verses Legion, I would never try clearing a building vs them, but I normally clear a building with Rangers and Guerrillas. I rarely lose a unit that way. You take them in a APC right to the door, that way they are not taking fire on the approach
41:20 It's the shitties AMX representation I've seen, if it is one. These cars had the wheels equally spaced out, but the game one has the middle axle moved towards the back. I'm guessing it's something else entirely.

Little heads up threat when your in a building you can use one of the two buttons to position your squad to a preferred area when they are selected in a building 🫡
