Russia submits ‘proof’ of Zelensky’s war crimes at UN; Ukraine scoffs at ‘lies’

- In a rather turn of events at the United Nations Security Council, Russia has accused Ukraine of war crimes. Submitting evidence backing its claims during the Arria-Formula meeting at the UN, Russia blamed Ukraine of using its own civilians as human shields to block humanitarian corridors. As part of 'proof', Russian diplomats presented interviews with several Ukrainian citizens who admitted that it was the Ukrainian Military that opened fire at cars trying to use the evacuation routes. Russian also accused the West of turning a blind eye to the 'sad truth'. Ukraine however, hit back at Russia and called it out for peddling lies as the West was imposing stricter sanction on it for its invasion of the war-torn nation. Watch this video for more details.

A friend of mine knows someone who went to Ukraine to escort his girlfriend and her family out of Ukraine only to be captured and was about to be "executed" by Ukrainian militia. It so happened that the Russians took control of the area and intervened the execution of this person and let them leave safely. I've never heard my friend so passionately express himself online over this and chatted with him on what he knows. War is ugly and Ukraine isn't all 'clean'.
I know this is happening.. Everytime I see Zelensky acting on media.. it irritates me coz he is full of BS.. He knows how to protect his own people but he chose to protect his own interest.

@@marklutz95 my understanding was that the Ukrainian family wasn't targeted, they captured the American (who is my friend's friend) who flew there to help bring his Ukrainian girlfriend and her family members escape the war there. He was about to be executed which is what got my friend so mad over this.

his aunt moved to ukrain years ago , she works as a nurse so she is treating wounded ukrain soldiers and captured russian soldiers ... she told him that everyday she sees the same injury on the russian soldiers , they had their penis cut off when they were captured . not one soldier , not a few ... every captured russian soldier !

There is more than enough proofs available that Ukraine is using civilians as human sheilds. Even our Indian students who were trapped (who were later evacuated in operation Ganga) in Ukraine acknowledged the same.

If you ask Crimean people, they are totally on Russian's side and against Ukraine. And I wandered why. Asked a local I found online and was answered that a very high percentage of population want independence. They don't want neighter Russia, nor Ukraine as their masters 'in facto'. Then, most of people there are Russians of origin, and don't want Ukraine because they don't want to learn the language and they don't actually like Ukrainian administrative leardership.
Anyway, historically, Crimea, that has strategic value due to the ports to Black Sea, belonged to Russia starting 200 years ago. It does have a mixed population though, because it kept changing hands till Russia got it. Right now, because of the 200 yrs of very shortly interrupted Russian occupation, the majority of population is Russian.
Then, in 1954, Russia gave it to Ukraine because Khrushchev decided to build a dam on Dnieper River, which is the longest river of Ukraine and Belarus, and wanted for project to be run in entirety by 1 administrative body.
Then, in 1991 when Ukraine became independent, Russians didn't request Crimea back, so it was left to Ukrainians. The reasons unstated, but personally I think it was because Russians were cock sure about Ukraine continuing to pay tribute to Russia, even if 'independent'.
Just 2 months before independence in 1991, Ukrainians declared Crimea as 'autonomous state', under the rule of Ukraine, but with its own local administrative decisions.
In February 2014, Ukrainians kicked out Yanukovych from their presidency because of his plundering, causing rampant corruption. Immediately after, about end of February 2014, an upset Putin sent his troups to Crimea to 'clean Ukraine of nazi' and began annexation of Crimea from Ukraine back to Russia, turning it into one of its 22 federal republics.
In March 2014, Crimeans had a referendum and requested to be acknowledged as independent state. But neither Russians, nor Ukrainians, or world at large paid any attention to it.
The Ukrainian 'nazi' (actually Ukrainians nationalists) kept fighting Putin's troups to get Crimea back to Ukraine, while also harrassing local population not aligning to their goal. These 2 factions kept fighting since 2014 till now.
Ever since 2014 events, Putin waited to see if Trump keeps his part of the deal and get USA army out of NATO. He didn't (as usual) and Putin decided to take action and 'turn' Ukraine back to 'mother Russia'. Russian army is still numerous, but can't really face NATO. So, officially, Putin's reasons are 'nazi' fighting to get Crimea to Ukraine when everybody knows that Crimea belonged to Russia, as well as the lie of NATO coming near Russia that so many Putin's supporters swallowed unchewed. Also for some unknown reason to me, people all over the world make the confusion of NATO as belonging to USA. Why they think this, I don't know. They don't know it either.
This is short of what I found about Crimea. Had Khrushchev restrained giving formally Crimea to Ukrainians, or at least had Russia in 1991 asked for Crimea back, Putin would've had a harder time to find a more valid reason for Ukrainian's invasion.

there were some news where Indian were beaten up by Ukrainian Soldier at Poland border when they were trying to escape from Ukraine to Poland.
Those proofs don't come from Russian correspondents. It is from foreign both affiliated and independent journalists. They interview residents inside besieged cities. Some were reluctant a month ago when azov controlled the area but once Russians liberated these same areas, the people started to talk freely. Anne, Georgio, Patric, Graham, Eva, etc on the ground, going around interviewing citizens. Some of them were even threatened by ukraine to stop their coverage.
Edit: If those journalists were ukrainian talking about ukraine atrocities, they would be killed. One guy was shot point blank while he was in his car on both sides.
