I love the in depth look at this. I love mounting my AIO's at the top in exhaust always, so knowing whether a certain sized kit will fit before hand really helps.
Glad to see the refresh. I built in the P300A last year and the build quality was quite good
I got this case for my wife at a great price on Newegg. She doesn’t want anything too fancy, but I’ve been real happy with phanteks products in the past. The clearance may be the only significant problem here, but it’s good that you covered this

I built my new gaming rig recently in a Rosewill prism S500. Nice tempered glass case with the PSU in the top and a real dust filter in the bottom , Im happy with it aside from the fans being loud which I replaced .
Great review. I actually liked the old design of the P300A with the front panel looking the way it did. Felt more unique to me. Nothing wrong with the updated design. Just a preference of mine. It is still a great case design.

im looking forward to buy this case, good that you showed the issue with the radiator. But good for me that I will have the same Ram and same sized radiator installed

I'm finding that many of these cheaper-ish cases have clearance issues with the top radiators these days. I find myself getting the lowest profile ram to compensate for this, in my opinion, serious oversite. I do not recall having this issue with older mid sized cases. This needs to be addressed by at least a warning that this might be an issue before you buy them. Otherwise, this was a pretty slick update to the P300A. And yes, the three fan version is a no brainer.
If not the ram clearance, it's the VRM heatsink/IO.
I have the montech airx case and I have a 240mm aio in and it fits fine. It's a pretty good budget case as well.
@@yeetisthefetus7214 I like their higher end (over $60) cases, they work out ok. It's their lower cost ones that have the same issues as this one.
@Michael Livote well I haven't had a problem yet with mine thankfully. When I built it. It all went together smooth so I dunno.
I mean my ram isn't that tall either and it sits a bit lower then the motherboard he used
i grabbed a 011 mini air and mounted my 240mm aio on the side
it gets old having to remove fans from a aio just to get at your ram

great review. I was hoping you would measure for the maximum depth of a front radiator though as you measured everything else. I'll probably buy this case anyway and do some measuring before I buy any radiators.
Hey man I think you can take that SSD out, unscrew the mounting and place it under then seal it up
I prefer the captive thumbscrews in the back of the case to secure the glass panel so I don't have to worry about it trying to swing open when the case is being moved.
Captive thumb screws are fine, but I'd prefer cases to have both that AND another solution like any that I mentioned, that way the screws are optional most of the time and can be used on the occasions when you do have to move it
Same. Back in my day, we didn't have captive screws. So I appreciate them now.
The p300a was my daily for about a year, and the fan/rad support was my least favorite part of the case. Glad to see it can fit 360mm rads and 240mm at the top
a cool/great addition to the case would be the small metal thing that can hold your GPU straight, like in the deepcool ch510 mesh digital, which is an awesome case for the price btw :-)
I like it at a 70$ price point for an all air case as alot of people would rather have simple over water, water cooling solutions are better in terms of cooling but take a bit more tinkering, so yeah , at under 100 for a all air case, I'd pull the trigger on it just to test out

It's an awesome case for the price. Unfortunately though, (for me) the lack of USB *3.2* support on the front panel is a deal breaker. I'd rather spend a few dollars more for a case that has it (if I can find one 😆).

I got a question what if I swap the front three fans for the 360 aio cooler and put the rest 2 fans on the top and one on the rear as a exhaust. Thanks.

I built in both the P300A and P500A. P300A is a great case, though I do dislike the way the side panel has the 4 thumbscrews. Its still been a great case. This looks like a nice little update.
Seems like Phantek has improved the P300 into a P400. Except I like frameless wall to wall glass. Its just a little more elegant even with thumb screws.

What does that mean?
It's the fan connector type to the motherboard, 4 pin means pulse width modulation and is a method of controlling how power gets to the fan to control speed
Ticks all the boxes, good airflow, price, RGB, nicely built. This is would be my go to for a decent quality budget case.
i bought my pc 2nd hand from the store GAME it was 450 euros and with these specs Ryzen 5 5600 - RTX 3050 - 8GB RAM 500GB NVME. the 8 gigs ram was the first thing i upgraded to 16 gb i think i got a really good deal and i bought it like 3 weeks ago so it was recently

Yea I should have said screwless design lol, though I have been met with panels from the factory that had thumbscrews that were overtightened and definitely needed a screwdriver to remove 😆
If at least these got sold in Mexico...
Or even cheaper find older case brand new for way cheaper as I have found Zalman m3 plus paid it less than 50 USD and quality of it is way higher than from this one
