Exactly what my fingers were itching to type. Under the Red Hood is one of my favourite comics (also my favourite superhero movie of all time). The line that struck me the most and broke my heart was, "Bruce, I forgive you for not saving me but why on God's earth is he (Joker) still alive?" Jason was a street kid with an addict mother and a small time crook father. He more than anyone understands that not everyone can be saved. It's this Joker issue that brings up the incredibly interesting Ideological conflict of the no killing rule. Jason is one of the few people who can stand in front of Bruce and say, "You're wrong. It doesn't work."
It gets on my nerves when people miss the entire point of this character. Also why Arkham Knight sucks.

That's not the case in the new 52 timeline and I don't think they restored it in rebirth. Batman was active for around 10 years at the start of his new 52 stories and Damian was still fairly new. Since Dick is a full adult at that time I think he now started as robin when he was 12 or older. The first time she was used again was in 2015, where she got beaten by Jason of all people, which is extremely out of character for her.
Cause of course, the New-52 reboot made her a worse fighter. Also gave her that Orphan name, which I won't even get into.

Pretty sure Terry has a brother known as Matt who like Terry, shares traits with Terry more than he does with his parents. Terry's parents are both redheads while he and his bro have black hair. When it is revealed in Justice League Unlimited that Terry is the Bat's son it could be possible that his brother also is a son of the Bat. Matt later takes up the mantle of Robin, though this only happens in a comic and wasn't shown in the show at all. So Matt could be the missing future son. Something that I assume Bruce wouldn't be aware of until too late.

7:14 Jason never blamed Bruce for not saving him. He knew Bruce was just human and couldn't save everyone and that he'd gone off on his own without backup. He was angry because Bruce didn't avenge him or learn his lesson about raising child soldiers. Heck, he didn't even hate Tim for "replacing" him as so many in the fandom think. He was determined there would be no more dead child soldiers and set out to FORCE Tim to quit, figuring if he hurt and traumatized him to get him to walk away at least he would be alive.
15:35 Damian was only the second youngest Robin at age 9/10. Dick was 8 when he created the mantle. Tim and Jason were both about 12 and Stephanie was around 15/16.

A few details missed in this video, nobody double checked their work. The summaries were great otherwise. Grayson was 9 but then later retconned as being 8 when his parents died, making him the youngest Robin. The original idea behind Grayson was he was suppose to be the same age as Bruce when Bruce lost his parents. The Beyond stories are not all in the tv show. There was a run of comics that started in 2011 and has been running off and on since. Lots of great stories; like Terry's younger brother becoming Robin, there being a new Batgirl who fights crime in the slums of Gotham, just to point out a couple of highlights without any real story spoilers.
The only downside to the Beyond timeline, is they keep retconning certain characters and events because of things introduced in the main run of Batman or the DC Universe/Timeline. Like, Johnathan Kent is Superman of the Beyond Timeline and I do not recall that they ever gave a reason to get rid of Clark. Damian is the head of the League of Assassin's, and has an estranged relationship with Bruce. His costume is still similar to his Robin costume, and somewhere in the story they just forget that Raz was running things in Talia's body.

Quick thing but you are kind of wrong about the Beyond stuff. So stuff like a new batgirl and robin aren't in the DCAU, nor any of the Barbara cheating stuff.

@@nahte123456 Double checked to make sure I was not senile when reading the comics. In 2010, the Beyond run was to be connected to the mainstream DC comic Universe. That run was written by Adam Beechen with art by Ryan Benjamin. Beechen also confirmed this in interviews at the time and stated it merging them into one continuity also allowed more cameos into the (Beyond) story.
Now the run may no longer tie into the comics, but it did at that time (or at least for the length of series 3 of the comics). Which is why there where retcons I remember to the Batman Beyond story referencing events happening in the main comic universe continuity at that time happened. It was suppose to be THE future of whatever happened in the main run of the universe (though it may no longer have been the case after series 3).

I never knew black bat....in all the canon storylines its commissioner Gordon's daughter who became bat girl and eventually retired when the joker crossed a line that he had not crossed since Jason todd leaving Barbara Gordon a paraplegic, psychologically scarred for life but working as Batman's intelligence officer from the shadows going by the moniker Oracle. But black bat seems to be the best of Batman's children to succeed him. I personally think the Batman beyond story was scrapped from the canon history because of how poorly it was received compared to all the other Batman family members.

My favorite of all of the Batman's children is and always will be the first one, the one from 1940: Robin Dick Grayson. You can't beat the original, and Dick is it. The main thing I don't like about him is his nickname. I'm a black man from the hood in St. Louis, Missouri. "Dick" has a connotation attached to it that I will never shake. If I actually met Mr. Grayson, I would seek to use another nickname for him, or even simply call him "Richard." That might be a hard sell, I know, but I would try.
My second favorite of the Bat-kids is Robin/Red Robin Timothy Drake Wayne. I like that, although he has nothing like Dick Grayson's natural and almost freakish physical prowess, he outstrips Dick with detective skills that predated his debut as Robin. He was also the first Robin to meet and beat the Joker without the Bat and with his own plan, unless I'm just dead wrong. I've heard it said that no less that Ra's al Ghul has called Tim "detective," as he does the Batman himself. That's an accolade all its own!
I'm going to give you a pass on Batgirl Barbara Gordon, as she could not truly be called one of the Batman's children. Nevertheless, she is and always will be my favorite Batgirl. I also find it interesting that Barbara seems to be well aware of her effects on the male population as well as the power of her old uniform. I remember seeing a story wherein Cassandra Cain wore that Batgirl outfit and proved to be about as effective as Barbara and the men who saw her in it. When returning to Barbara after that night out, Barbara said something to the effect of, "They loved you, didn't they?" I also liked the fact that it was revealed that she was Dick Grayson's first major crush. Lastly, I loved the fact that, although Batgirl was never Justice League, Barbara's later identity of "Oracle" was -- proving that Barbara's greatest weapons were the intelligence and deductive abilities that first made her Batgirl. She made more contributions as Oracle than as Batgirl. Indeed, were I writing her at the time that her legs were restored to her, I would have had her REMAIN as Oracle in recognition of those greater contributions!
I would like to take an opportunity to recognize the greatest member of the Batman family: Alfred Thaddeus Crane Pennyworth. Alfred was the glue that held the family together and kept it from degenerating into chaos and abuse. I like to think that he was Bruce Wayne's second father from the very beginning -- indeed from the first second that Alfred learned that Mrs. Martha Kane Wayne was pregnant! I also like to think that Alfred was a regular visitor to the Wayne's older and brain-damaged son, Thomas Junior. I don't know it Tom, Jr. has been retconned out of the DCU, but I liked that he was introduced back in the 20th Century. One thing I would like to see is Tom returned (healthily) to the Wayne family, especially since Alfred is (at least for the present) dead. Of all of the Batman family, Alfred is my absolute favorite.

Bruce has beaten the likes Grifter (twice), a highly skilled soldier who can read his opponent’s mind with the use of his telepathy and see their moves coming *(Batman Vol 3 Issue 101 & Batman: Urban Legends Issue 1).* He has also fought, destroyed and stalemated a number Samuroids that were capable of adapting to their opponents’ abilities and powers, over the course of a fight *(The Brave and the Bold Vol 3 Issue 13)* and defeated *the Peacekeeper-01* who’s capable of adapting to his opponent’s fighting style and getting stronger, the longer the battle last *(Batman Vol 3 Issue 116).* Look I love Cassandra, but Bruce is just as much a monster as she is, possibly even more so.
